Recommend picking three players to do this task (at random? townreads? not sure how to get those at this point), organizing how it will be done in advance, and then lynching any of those three that ruin it for the rest of us

There's magic in numbers and powers in three,

But only one number in mind can lead to the key.

325 is the number to lighten your heart,

But if you count wrong then you will have to restart!
wait but what does the first line mean

No, if we can win while discussing there is no reason not to. Anyone know if we have to get to 325 or "one thousands and sixty twenty"?

"one thousands" > 1000
"and sixty twenty" > 80?

1080?

pedit: Well they could recommend a delaying tactic like "thoughts on ignoring the counting until the last three days?"

"sixty eight" is 60 plus 8
"sixty eleven" I've heard as a funny way to say 60+11 = 71
So "sixty twenty" might just be 80. But I'm not sure

okay, slight townread on you for that

at one point someone asked about the show re:red herrings - I watched an episode on Youtube and it seems pretty straightforward. It's usually played by kids, with each round only lasting a couple minutes to fit everything into a half hour. I don't think anything about the theme is here to trick us

Honestly best scum strat this game day might be to just help town win the round, accept the existence of one fortunate, and let town totally mislynch. Hm...

Re-reading for lynchpool

Tell me more about teacher, Pine

I'm...
Scumreading chickadee for townreading me for a false reason
Townreading Feysal for good, helpful setup spec
Nullreading enigma for calling their own actions similar to what scum would do (??)
Townreading GuiltyLion for upping the pressure wherever/whenever possible
Scumreading Kokichi Oma because his posts are like 33%+ WIFOM
Nullreading myloninja because his posts are unimpressive and do little to further town agendas but also I've seen the same from town!him so whatevs
Nullreading NK15 because wow that ISO is pretty content-less but I don't think his content is as scummy as the Lion suggested
Townreading orfrhz for sharing reads and being helpful (though this townread more than any other seems based on things easy enough to fake)
Scumreading Pine for multiple "mistakes" and only sharing a single read when asked
Um... randomidget is a player
Townreading teacher because while I know from experience that he's always this inquisitive, his suggestion to throw and start over (especially repeating it multiple times) seems too attention-getting to be scummy
Nullreading WhyMafia for taking a very spectator stance to the game, which I have scumread on other players in the past and learned it's just playstyle

That leaves me with a preferred lynchpool of
{Chickadee, Kokichi Oma, Pine}
and a "this would be a fine lynch in this low-info setup" of
{enigma, NK15, WhyMafia}

If I named you in those bottom two lists please provide some game-advancing content (game-advancing meaning regarding alingments, not the challenge)

I don't think we should throw, but I do think we should stop posting empty number posts for at least like ~24 hrs. Only content posts from here on out please

@ KO That's true, I can try to cold meta you later, see if that affects my read

@teacher randomidget is on VLA I think?

pedit: @chick, I'd say false. Saying I'm very careful about posts/page when I'm the only one to make a posts/page mistake is not a "weak" reason, it's false. The only way to townread me off something that isn't true is to know I'm town in the first place. I haven't really been pushing for your lynch, either, I'm just noting alignment-indicative things as I go.

I mean we can stop the spamming for a while, but at some point we are going to have to spam. @both kokichi and chickadee, you seem upset that I'm scumreading you for behavior I don't have a towny way to explain. It can be true that you are busy and also doing things that are anti-town. Regardless, I'm not the one who designed this challenge, I'm just someone who's invested in completing it.

I guess people want to get some content out there, so I suggest we take a break for a bit from the spamming.

teacher I don't think we should spam again yet, if people want to produce content still they will, and if it upsets the count when that happens then spamming isn't worth it. Soon though

@chickadee I get that, but at the same time I already have a scumread on you for being the reason we lost our ~250, so don't take it personally when it's easy to see scum motivation in your actions so far. I won't be AtE'd into townreading players acting contrarian without offering alternatives (kokichi) or who move us further from our goal (you).

I don't think we should lynch mylo, I think he's somewhat lynchbait-y. Although I'm fine with the fact that other people do want to lynch him, because he should step up the content and maybe that will get him to do so.

agreed with teacher re:feysal

I was paranoid about guiltylion putting kokichi in his top tier townreads (helping the rep of a partner?), but I like that Kokichi asked about it. I'm still townreading Guilty and teach, I think chickadee has gotten worse over time, while Kokichi has gotten better.

NK15 (and anyone else mostly posting numbers without content): I don't think it's unrealistic to include content underneath your count - everyone else seems (mostly) capable of doing it, and we'll need it to sort alignments, which is roughly equally important to completing the missions, if not more important

I think VOTE: NK15 is my fav lynch right now

I wish more players would comment on chickadee's mistake, kokichi oma's interrupting the spamcounting, and teacher's mistake around that time. It's definitely at least a little AI and not a lot else is, so please @everyone comment on that or point me to something more interesting to talk about

scratch not wanting to vote mylo, I just did a meta dive and his lack of content is slightly AI in a scummy direction. I think I might still prefer NK15, but mylo is in there too.

hoping the next challenge is more interesting/provides more AI content

yikes but also yay we're getting close

I think my fav is still NK15, and barring some amazing post from him today I'm going to cash in some towncred and suggest
NK15 should be the lynch
. I don't want a wide enough lynchpool during the night that scum can coordinate a mislynch without getting caught. This might be a mislynch, but at least then it'll come back to me, rather than vaguely wondering D2 "hmm who coordinated that lynch and who was just following their reads?"

Some reasons why, since it'll probably get asked:
- The way I'm reading the rules, we can't win without finding and voting out all three scum - typical mafia, not a complete-all-assignments thing; NK15 is caring much more about looking like an assignment-participant than playing mafia, and is actively avoiding producing AI content when asked.
- I don't think Pine/Chickadee/Kokichi has more than one scum, based on how similarly they've been treated by the playerlist in general and how they've responded ("you made a mistake!" followed by "lay offfff I'm busy in real life *pout*" and it's possible it's none of them and we've just been distracted from scum by staring at busy-IRL townies making mistakes
-Among lurky low-content players, mylo and randomidget have better reasoning for being lurks, enigma comes across slightly towny imo, and WhyMafia has less support as a lynch (which might actually be scum-indicative but idk we can examine that tomorrow)
- I want to lynch who *I* want to lynch :P

teacher is willing to vote both
Kokichi is willing to vote both
Feysal is willing to vote both
ofrhz wants nk15 lynched
I want nk15
nk15 wants pine
guiltylion wants pine PEDIT: jk willing to vote both
pine wants guiltylion
chickadee wants mylo or random
randomidget wants ???
whymafia wants ???
mylo wants ???
enigma wants ??? (at one point voted pine, so maybe pine?)

Will be looking closely tomorrow at anyone who doesn't vote NK15 or Pine - please vote NK15, everyone, so we're not stuck with dead-town!Pine and WIFOMy NK15.

nooooooo teacherrrrrr :( :( :(

this challenge doesn't make sense to me. Only the mafia know the number? And we're not even voting for the number, just having one player pick it at random? If anyone can see a strategy here, please share. The only thing I can think of is "if town, don't guess, so mafia have to out themselves", but there's no timer or anything so I'm not sure what scum's incentive to pick a number would be

Is it potentially helpful to have everyone share their N1 Last Will? Just to give mafia another way to scumslip?

In other news, nsg is towny. Prof Fridays, tell me more about your vote. Why didn't you vote NK15?

Alternatively we just play regular mafia this game day, then when we're ready to end the day we pick one or two towny players to make random guesses

-You have learned nothing from voting outside consensus
-Your slot just got WIFOMier

Mmm I also thought of that, but I think it's too wifom to help. Scum will randomize their own answers to avoid giving info, or have two scum give one wrong answer while the other gives the right one, or neither of these because I've now said them. I think we just play mafia and come back to the game later, and the lion is correct that making a guess without majority approval is a scumclaim

I should have said this earlier, but oh well. The earnestness on the part of some to share wills comes across as towny, since I didn't say this.

Ooh I just thought of another strat for the challenge. Vote for our scumreads, then when we have majority on someone, they pick a number. If it’s red, they’re the lynch and a town read does two guesses. If it’s green, they get to live. Does this actually work? Just thought of it, idk.

Guilty why are you scumreading enigma? Also why can’t you read someone without scumreads? Townreads are helpful too

Chickadee who do you want more from?

I’m low activity this weekend so deeper thoughts will come later.

Examples using just your last post (PE-898): I have never suggested we lynch everyone who is a burden to the Town, it was a single point not a doctrine. Exaggeration and putting words in my mouth. "All you've contributed is snark" is discrediting, as is suggesting that I'm providing no evidence and not reading the game. As for misrepresentation, you have somehow taken my legitimate suspicion of you for your attack on Chickadee and tried to present it as some kind of character assassination.

Let's add a new one: Whataboutism. Instead of engaging my fairly detailed explanations and points in the body paragraphs of 896, you deflected attention away from my riposte and towards a different topic you wanted to press.

Seriously. I am not going to do this every time, especially with someone who has gone out of his way to single me out, particularly when I feel they're very likely scum.
noting these reasons to scumread Guilty before I re-read Guilty.

@Pine aside from a townread on chickadee you've basically tunneled on Guilty all game. Can you please provide other reads?

I think it's still probably true that Guilty is town, upon re-read. If he keeps weirdly surviving every night for the whole game or his actions in later challenges is notably anti-town I'll get more suspicious (part of why I have not liked any challenge so far - neither of them have much room to learn who the traitors are by their challenge play).

So. nsg and lion are town. I'll sheep nsg on mylo like others do until there's more reason to not (from either of them). I'm liking Prof Fridays for his active sorting since replacing in and to a lesser extent I like Pine, too. I think his push back against Guilty isn't necessary as scum, since he could just NK him and brush him off for now. I also have been feeling a little paranoid of Guilty's positioning, so I get that, too. It's possible this is me overthinking an otherwise not very towny slot, though.

That leaves me with Kokichi/chickadee (for reasons stated yesterday I would be surprised if both of these were scum, though not if both were town), Feysal, Enigma, ofrhz. I thought I was townreading enigma last game day, hm. WOW re-read and nsg's points above are actually pretty condemning - except now that I re-read his D2 stuff it's not so bad. I think my scumreads are something like...

{kokichi oma}
{chickadee, enigma}
{feysal, ofrhz}

All of this said, the first challenge and many players' lack of activity has me paranoid of one or more players deepwolfing. I don't think it'd be particularly hard, and I'm concerned we're too focused on generally lurky players. I hope this will get clearer over D2, when ISO's aren't so cluttered

The more I stare at my stated scumreads' ISOs the less I see scum play in it. You know that wiki article about towntelling/having good townreads/having good scumreads/being charismatic and about how you should know which ones are your strengths? I think my strengths might be just the first and last :giggle:

Really? Pine's case was enough to put Guilty in the bottom of your reads? What convinced you so?

lol that should be a 3. You get the idea! When y'all vote it's easy enough to copt/paste this into the end of your post. I don't want the responsibility of being in charge of it. Neither do I want another player to receive false towncred for owning it (as I've seen happen in another game where there weren't official votecounts). So just add you own votes or if you're not going to, say so, so others know to look out for your votes when they're updating it

so Feysal's analysis weakens my townread on nsg, but I agree with ofrhz it doesn't necessarily make mylo scum.

I don't necessarily love the idea of it being me, though if we're trying to pick town I guess I know I'm town :P
I do think it might be a good idea to have the first guess be halfway through the day, so we can decide if the same player should guess or not

I agree Prof Fridays didn't really answer my question.

Is it just me or has it gotten harder to keep track of things this game? Things feel.... messier than last game day, or even early this game day. Not sure if I'm feeling the contrast of confused town and agenda-driven scum, or a split town, or scum chasing red herrings to clog the thread... idk is that just my feeling?
In post 982, Chickadee wrote:Town reading Guilty, Enigma, NSG, and Friday to varying degrees . That's about where I am at the moment. Still looking things through.

Just to be clear, did you mean to also list me as a townread? Since you're nominating me to pick a number.
In post 991, GuiltyLion wrote:also this is a little nitpicky but I find it odd that two of your posts started nearly identically about a townread on Pine
In post 916, Prof Fridays wrote:Townreading Pine rn. I think I'm content with Irrelephant town for now, despite my will.
In post 986, Prof Fridays wrote:Townreading Pine. His case on GL is persuasive IMO, though I'm not 100% convinced as of yet. {Kokichi, ofrhz, Feysal, GL} seems like a good lynch pool for me. Also, when are we gonna choose a number? I'm getting impatient! :P
it makes me feel like you're formulaically crafting posts for the situation instead of organically interacting with the thread
This is weird thing to say about someone
I think you were townreading and still are?
Re-read and you were nullreading him, but you have since said you somewhat townread him. Like idk it's just some casual shade you don't really believe? Especially because I townread him for it - I've done the same as town, and it comes across as agenda-less imo. Not quite a townslip, but definitely not a scumslip I don't think.

I'm not like actively scumreading him I think, but I don't feel good about putting him in a townbloc to POE the rest and I kinda already have too many townreads as it stands. I guess the biggest thing is I feel like he's not making any waves, he's kinda riding the general town opinions and none of his content feels especially hard to fake

The problem with townreads is that it's easier to make plausible townreads as scum, because you know that person's town. Occasionally scum will go too far in 'townreading' someone to an implausible degree - what I thought Pine may be doing with Chickadee's slot - but generally it's much easier for me to sift through genuine scumreads vs faked scumreads because scum
know
that the conclusion they're advocating for is ultimately false, and it shows in how they write arguments to justify it.
Tbh, trying to be town read is pretty easy for this game given the lynch mechanics, so PoE and townblocking is a rather iffy approach until late game where mechanics will be useful for townblocking and PoE.
This is somewhat true, but at the same time if the semi-consensus townbloc (me, Guilty, Nsg, Mylo, maybe one or two others depending on who you ask) is accurate this reads like "Hey stop being a town block :( "

In post 1004, Feysal wrote:If this does not ring any bells, it should. This is strikingly similar to how Northsidegal declared a town read on Myloninja, also using meta. See, while I said I believed Northsidegal was town, it is what I wanted to believe. In the back of my mind I wondered, what if she and Myloninja are partners? I dismissed that thought because I did not expect scum to defend their partner like that, and later this was part of why I looked at Myloninja, to solidify my read on them both. But now I see this, scum Northsidegal defending scum Ofrhz after replacing in, doing the very thing I thought she would not do as scum. Add the fact that Ofrhz was mislynched in two of the games Northsidegal was also in, and while neither was her fault I'd expect her to realize Ofrhz is liable to being misread.
the great thing about meta reads when i'm town is that people don't have to take my word for it or even believe me or trust me; they can verify whatever i'm saying for themselves. you'll notice that in that exact game that you quoted nacho did that exactly, calling me out for an unsubstantiated statement ("ofrhz is playing similarly") and talking about how she wasn't actually playing similarly at all.

-shrug-

if you're concerned about me or myloninja being scum, look at the meta for yourself; i think that
i'm
an easy sort based on the differences between my town and scum game, but compared to me i think mylo is a far easier sort.
So I went and re-read some mylo games and I don't see enough of a difference between town!mylo and scum!mylo to be so certain, and I'd actually lean sucm!mylo after reading his games. Most games that he is town he is low-content but provides some better/deeper thoughts in those rare posts than he has here. I get avoiding lynching mylo for being low content (which seems NAI for him), but I really don't see how you can locktown him here?

Please talk more about this.
In post 1032, GuiltyLion wrote:I think the ofrhz push on Prof Fridays is worth discussion from everyone, both in terms of read on Prof Fridays and thoughts on ofhrz's case.

ofhrz's points are valid, but I'm not sure that I actually feel like Prof Fridays is scummy. The way he's reversed a few of his reads and candidly replied to pushes on him (, ) feels vaguely town to me - not strong enough to be particularly confident in calling him town but it gives me some doubts about a scumread.

While he did dodge the original question about why Pine's case was convincing, I'm not really convinced that there was an agenda to it. and ofrhz can you explain why being a 'weird' post makes it more likely to be scum?
While I agree Prof Fridays has been largely towny I don't know why you're defending him here. Like I think his response to me re:Pine was pretty objectively scummy. Maybe I'm reading into this too much but the feeling I'm starting to get about scum is that either 1) they're caught in our collective PoE (this would be nice) or 2) Two or even all three of them are vouching for each other to form a false townblock, and this is what I think 2 would look like.
I also don't like in retrospect how I suggested the idea that maybe someone might be deepwolfing and then later in you were like "hmmm seems like someone is deepwolfing, maybe it's Irrelephant...?"
All of this to say, I'm still townreading you overall, but I'm convinced enough that you need an eye on you that I'm going to point these things out as I go

So you think Chickadee is a mislynch? Why would you so confidently think that, then make the deduction that I'm scum based on that?
Isn't active and difficult mislynch target contradictory (i.e. everyone is one and/or the other...)?
because they're actively posting townreads who were both around at that time and I feel we're trying to work together today. I trust their opinions more than most players in the game at the moment.

I think Chickadee could be a mislynch, but I also still think she could be scum - I'm trying to see both angles of the gamestate here in scum!Chickadee and town!Chickadee world. It should be pretty clear from my posting both D1 and D2 that I don't "confidently" think she's a mislynch, though I think currently with a gun to my head I would say she's town.

Don't follow the third question - people who post a lot and show a willingness to argue and throw down generally tend to be harder to lynch and so they are harder mislynch targets if they are town.
In post 1034, GuiltyLion wrote:I think one of Chickadee/Enigma is likely to be scum. Chickadee still isn't really engaging with much and her turnaround on Prof Fridays based off of solely ofrhz's post is a bit weird. Enigma I have a hard time ruling out as scum but also have a hard time ruling him out as town. I think more discussion and reads from him would help me a lot here.
Your chickadee read has evolved quite a bit from .... in just 6 posts. First post reads as a maybe maybe/null, more likely to be town lean, and then just 6 posts later you sound much more suspect of her as a likely scum ...
that's one quick reversal :igmeou:
Yeah if Pine made any good point it was Guilty's quick turnarounds on multiple players throughout the game. I'm not sure it's necessarily something scum does - it's hard to see the scum motivation in being inconsistent in and of itself (while as town that's easy to do), though maybe if I have time to re-read I can see if he is following the crowd (scummier imo) or leading it (townier imo). At the same time, it's a great way to help scum teammates hide while having something to point to as anti-associative in case of a red flip later. Idk. It's messy either way, which I think overall points to town!Lion, since the case against him is he's this overbearing scum leader who is trying to get a mislynch agenda pushed through.
In post 1045, Myloninja13 wrote:So because enough people townread me, does that mean I get to pick a number? :D

Why does one rule out/confirm the other?
I'm still trying to PoE outside the core {NSG/Mylo/Feysal/Irrelephant/Kokichi/Pine} bloc of townreads which makes you two much more likely candidates

I guess I don't think you were at team because of the way you were angling to push on her, but you're right that there's actually not a ton of interactions there
Are Feysal and Pine strong enough townreads now for you to put them in that block? It didn't seem like that would be possible fypov at the start of the game day, and I especially don't remember much evolution from you regarding Pine. What do you think of his case on you, especially the point about you scumreading all but a few players throughout the game?

this, as long as it's not ofhrz/chickadee/prof fridays/enigma. I'd probably prefer someone in NSG/Feysal/Mylo if I were to vote/choose

Maybe this was always meant to cover for scum-partner Pine, actually? "worst case scenario it's clueless town" - Pine has been playing clueless town most of the game... was this meant to get us to re-think Pine's alignment when he makes this mistake?

idk this is mostly a pre-flip associative I guess (don't let this dictate tomorrow's lynch or anything, especially if I'm NK'd) but it's also useful to think on this for yourself before voting/not voting Pine

I was townreading you for your push on Guilty and your frustration last game day. I'm certainly not townreading you for your insistence that "I'm busy so I can refuse to read the thread and do whatever I want and then say "fuck you" if anyone doesn't like it"

That's not pro-town play regardless of your alignment and I don't have time to figure out your alignment but I am as close as I have ever been to encouraging a policy lynch

Except we're at 8-3 so idk I'm trying to provide reads on as many players as possible before day end? I don't curse but you can bet I'm angrier than you

Good luck surviving tonight

Sure, discussion was stalling. THIS SETUP MEANS IF WE DO NOT AGREE ON VOTES DURING THE DAY, SCUM GET A LYNCH
do you recognize that?
also your 180 from "I probably should have consulted. Sorry" to "It's a good thing the day ended!" is what's suspicious

Are you seriously scumreading me for being angry that you're getting in the way of town wincon in a completely stupid way?

The words you bolded were not meant to be what you're *trying* to say, but adding both game days together it's what you *effectively* have been saying. You've repeatedly appealed to your busyness at camp as a reason we should not scumread you for lack of activity and misunderstanding the rules. Then you did something that explicitly goes against what many players wanted AND ends the day before we've decided on a lynch. Then I got completely reasonably angry. Then you said "fuck you". So actually, pleeeeaaasseee do point out where I'm misrepping you. Can't wait to hear it.

By the way I'm V/LA on weekends, as are many players. I'm online for this choice of yours because this is precisely the time I was going to spend catching up and getting things moving again. That's why I'm angry. That's why this is undeniably scummy from you. That's why you don't get to pretend to have righteous anger.

Just found something

Just in case deadline is coming soon the short version is: chickadee and enigma have a seriously odd double-ISO
They both look scummy already and have the weirdest of interactions
I noticed because enigma keeps bringing up chick
Thinking TvS or SvS

Longer version with quotes coming soon, idk yet if this should factor into lynch - prolly not unless I can elaborate and some players can respond

Ok some quick comments before the deadline.

Firstly, this is a super annoying and not fun challenge.

Chickadee
I still can't quite figure out what she is doing. I do feel some sincerity for when she screwed up the count ... I mean, everyone else has been super careful with their posting. I also disliked her early interaction where she stated she didn't read the rules and called out some of the strategies we had discussed. I don't know if it is scummy, but it is definitely anti-town.
---

{snip}

---

I feel like there may have been one scum hanging around in the chaos of counting, giggling as multiple people tried to post and throwing p-edits everywhere (i.e. KO mainly, but also teacher/chickadee/elephant)

{snip}
Literally no clue what enigma is trying to say here about chickadee. Reads like "I'm gonna scumread her later, but not yet"
In post 931, Enigma wrote:{snip}

Looking through the votes, Pine's and Mylo's explanations rub off on me the wrong way, and to a degree ofrhz. I feel their justification came off as weak and uncommitted. Whilst we (myself included) would naturally tend to associate those with lengthy and in-depth explanations as more pro-town, I would also be a bit cautious with this since it is an appearance you can easily make.

{snip}
In post 907, Chickadee wrote:{snip}
In post 911, Chickadee wrote:{snip}
Continuing reading, the one I'm kinda becoming unsure about is Chickadee. I felt on day 1 she played the sorry/pity card, yeh ok, we bought it then. She knew she was very unlikely to get lynched. The last will just feels a bit ehhhh as she continues to play that card. She said she regrets not pushing her scum reads, then comments on D2 that she doesn't have any reads or feels like sharing them (isn't this how you push scum reads??)

And I see on the next page GL makes the same connection ahaha.

Scum reads are used for pressure. The voting here is a bit different, but where you don't share scum reads then how do you expect to get pressure and discussion to validate/refute your scum reads?

Oh I'm caught up. Are we all agreed on sharing last wills? Do you all want to see the meme that I put for my last will? It's pretty lame ahaha

Bit disappointed by the challenge. Suppose town's best bet just for a good town read to randomly pick something (though not provable), our chances of winning are still shit. Alternatively, if a null or weak town read did successfully randomly pick the correct number, this would add (some) town credit and be helpful for forming a town block (useful considering the fortunate mechanics).
Says he's "becoming unsure" which, again, is a non-committal scumread. Also says he dislikes her will
In post 941, Enigma wrote:
In post 934, Feysal wrote:{snip}

I thought some more about Chickadee, and it occurred to me that scum could be concerned about pretending to post their last will, since pretending to break a rule is as bad as actually doing it. I'm still leaning town, though the read is not strong.

{snip}
Regarding chickadee and the rules, I wouldn’t read into that and player-mod interactions. I once gave others town credit for people asking questions in the public thread about scum mechanics and how this worked with rules. I thought - ohh scum would just ask that in their scum PT, especially since it benefits town more with this clarity, so proba town. I was wrong lol.
Then he suggests Chickadee shouldn't be scumread for asking the mod

mmm Maybe I misread this? Still, basically he's saying here "don't townread chickadee for this" which is unnecessary given that he's scumreading Chickadee and enigma is saying scum!Chickadee might have done what she did. Just feels like he's bringing up chickadee for the sake of it, here, since he's not saying anything new.
In post 942, Enigma wrote:@chickadee

If I start pushing you as a scum read for lack of game solving and reluctance to scum/town hunt, what’s your read on me?
Basically the one thing that does suggest it's not SvS

In post 958, Irrelephant11 wrote:I agree he's in a dangerous spot for town if he's scum

but let me just tell you that I'm in a dangerous spot for scum because I'm town :]

@NSG and @Irrelephant, what do you guys think of Enigma? attacking Chickadee here is what I would expect scum in his position to do if he doesn't want to go after more active/difficult mislynch targets. He's a scumread I feel better about as I reread his ISO. and NSG if you're on the scum!ofrhz train then I see an associative there as Enigma has never commented on ofrhz and ofrhz has responded to a few of Enigma's NAI posts (D1 is boring, plan for the challenge) and then gave him a casual townread in .
Why just NSG and Irrelephant?
So you think Chickadee is a mislynch? Why would you so confidently think that, then make the deduction that I'm scum based on that?
Isn't active and difficult mislynch target contradictory (i.e. everyone is one and/or the other...)?
Seems overly concerned in this quote and in another one about being tied to chickadee's flip. Like, this question isn't bad on its own, but he asks this again below
In post 1042, Enigma wrote:
In post 1034, GuiltyLion wrote:also here's my current updated thoughts

ultimately I don't think NSG making a townread on Mylo being similar to her past scum!townread on scum-partner-ofrhz is strongly indicative - it's a good thing to note and consider if we get late in the game and probability of scum!NSG is much higher, but I think it's more likely NSG makes a meta townread like that as either alignment, is town here, and simply managed to effectively emulate something she'd do as town in that scumgame. However, I also think Feysal coming in with this angle is good evidence for him being town as well.

I still think ofrhz is a good candidate for scum

I think one of Chickadee/Enigma is likely to be scum. Chickadee still isn't really engaging with much and her turnaround on Prof Fridays based off of solely ofrhz's post is a bit weird. Enigma I have a hard time ruling out as scum but also have a hard time ruling him out as town. I think more discussion and reads from him would help me a lot here.

Third scum is a bit of a mystery, could be someone deep wolfing. I think I'm actually starting to get a liiiiitle bit paranoid of Irrelephant but I don't think that's paranoia worth indulging in until we get some more flips and day phases in. If Chick is town, maybe Prof Fridays, but the push on PF from ofrhz is worth looking further into if we get a ofhrz scumflip.
Why is it an chickadee or myself? I've had limited interactions with her, apart from a small push on her reluctance to scum hunting or game-solve (which I was not the only one to do).
Why does one rule out/confirm the other?

because they're actively posting townreads who were both around at that time and I feel we're trying to work together today.

Your chickadee read has evolved quite a bit from .... in just 6 posts. First post reads as a maybe maybe/null, more likely to be town lean, and then just 6 posts later you sound much more suspect of her as a likely scum ...
that's one quick reversal :igmeou:
Then he brings up that Guilty's reads have been shifting quickly, which is true for like half of Guilty's reads, but he only brings up Chickadee. Why does it bother him that Guilty's read on chickadee now matches his own? Why are more than half his D2 posts at this point about chickadee?
In post 751, Chickadee wrote:223

Handing off - I won't be around much today, I'll be at work and Wednesdays are usually busy. If that's not the case I may pop in for a bit. I would be ok lynching in lurkers and empty posters. (Mylo, Random, Feysal)
Curious why this didn't include enigma at the time...

Annoyed, but it gives you town points.

I'm not trying to keep anything to myself here. I just don't have anything to share.
Why does enigma saying you're scummy/playing badly earn him townpoints? When others have suggested the same you have often pushed back
In post 982, Chickadee wrote:Town reading Guilty, Enigma, NSG, and Friday to varying degrees . That's about where I am at the moment. Still looking things through.

I still think we should pick someone soon, like halfway through our self-set time limit (which I like btw) to pick the first number. That way we have time to assess, and it's not just immediately the end of the day. My first nom would go to irrelephant11, for being so widely town read. Thoughts?
And that's apparently enough to fit enigma into her townreads? She'd never suggested enigma is towny before this.

Thoughts?
Am I reading too much into this?
I definitely feel like it's odd that enigma is so chickadee-focused this game day, especially since most other players have literally been talking around her and most players are focused on other lynches.
What's happening here?

pedit: chickadee prof Fridays is clearly joking
Also that post of mine had a curse word in place of "gosh", but like I said I don't like to curse (as either alignment, you can meta me and check I have a reputation for politeness even when upset). When I posted it I also noticed that the tone was odd because of that word switch. Idk if that affects your read at all but there it is

sorry @mutant if this is rude but as feedback for any similar future games: last game day and this one give town very little agency...
Like at least if it were "one of these three words is
magical
and if you as a group say it more than the other two than you get through!" then town could feel like we were *doing* something, and maybe read into what scum did post-flips. As it is it feels like both these game days are mostly just stumbling in the dark

Feedback is more than appreciated but it would probably be best to save it until post game.
okay! Still having fun with the setup overall, btw! :]

I think I might know why I wasn't the night target but I don't want to say
I'll explain if I live too long and it becomes an actual issue

Pine is definitely back in my scumpool
Any towniness he got for picking the second number right he lost by choosing the third one & getting it wrong
I wish I had thought of it earlier but having the same person pick all three numbers was also like the least-informative way we could have done it

I forget who else is scummy - I need to player fewer games at a time
Am I townread widely enough to just sheep the dead guy and call his reads mine

Okay so

Enigma only gets like one town point for voting Chickadee
I made my case last game day for enigma/chickadee being a realistic scumteam and I mostly stand by it. Bussing is a thing
On the other hand I'll give enigma one more town point for saying that his vote was because of "self-preservation"
I also don't think he says "I want to vote Pine" in his vote if they're the remaining two scum
So it's only one of the two of them (or potentially none but I do happen to think both have played pretty scummy)

Keeping Guilty in my townblock makes the game make the most sense - especially because scum died last night. If enough flips surprised me, I'd turn my head, but for now I think he's still just town

I'll leave mylo for mylo because nsg

I don't think two scum voted for chickadee when other options were viable (and even seemed more likely) so that means at most one of enigma/ofrhz. Also the fact that Ofrhz AND enigma said they kinda wanted to vote elsewhere is interesting. It's slightly towny and DEFINITELY not something two scum say while bussing their partner. Prolly not even what one scum says while bussing their partner? Because then they don't even really get towncred for the accuracy/detail of their read

Agreed with others' reasons to townread Feysal after that votecount

If enigma is town I'd bet it's two of Pine/Kokichi/Prof

If enigma is scum I'd bet it's with Prof Fridays

This has gotten a little messy. I'm somewhere like here:

Me
Guilty
Feysal
Ofrhz
Myloninja
Enigma
Kokichi
Prof
Pine

I don't think it's possible scum knew she was the lynch
More interest was shown on enigma and ofrhz slots iirc
So she just did it just to have something for when someone says "let's all share our last wills" (like I did last game day). I don't think it's super AI for Guilty, except that if I'm right it would fit in with my townread of him

In post 1335, Enigma wrote:
In post 1314, Prof Fridays wrote:Dead post:
Prof Fridays wrote:I would be shocked if there was a weird last minute push on me. I feel like if I were voted to be trapped, I would question a decent amount of the game state, so I'm not sure my thoughts would be super valuable, and I've already said a lot about my reads so far. I still think ofhrz is scummy. Chickadee is a good runner-up. Kokichi and Feysal I think are worth looking at for scum. Pine and Enigma have my full support as town. I think Irrelephant and NSG are probably town unless they make it too far, in which case they should be scrutinized heavily. Mylo has been almost completely absent - I would be a fan of putting pressure on him, whether he's town or not, so we can at least get some sense of where he's at and some help if he's town. GL is maybe town but I kinda like trolling him regardless :P

As a both depressed and anxious person, I would wonder if being trapped would be kinda chill, like I fantasize about being trapped in solitary confinement just having a room to myself and meals delivered to me...but then, I wouldn't get to hangout with my friends really so that'd be pretty sad/depressing. On the flip-side, my anxiety might get outta whack and I'd be low-key freaking out if it was like a not so fun place to be trapped or if I'm trapped with a bunch of hooligans and/or criminals. But maybe they would be my friends? You never know. Maybe I'll spend my time trapped writing my fictionalized memoirs and hold book signings in my new prison. I wonder, if I were like getting my last meal before being executed or something, and I choose to have Taco Bell, would Taco Bell be all over that as a weird PR thing on social media? They're edgy enough that I think they might do something like that. Wouldn't be a bad way to go as a marketing stunt for Taco Bell. I might be a meme for a couple days.
I think it is fair to say everyone on the Chickadee wagon is town. I voted ofhrz because I thought voting him would give the best chance of my town-read, Enigma, surviving. The sudden flip-flopping on Pine seems suspect to me, but I do need to re-evaluate my reads post-lynch (I did soon after it was posted, but I forget a lot of what I had thought).
Briefly (phone), why did you only reference voting/lynching to be trapped? Getting Nkd also traps you and releases the will.
This is an interesting point. I forgot that it could also be released from a lynch (I wrote mine pretty much exclusively as if I were going to get NK’d). Potentially scummy from Prof Friday’s, since as scum he’d know he’s never the NK? And if I’m right about scum deciding to write wills that make them look towny when they share them the following day, rather than actually help town after death, this would fit right in. Expecting Enigma to die, he sets Ofrhz as scum above Chickadee, and maybe Pine as his partner gets to sit in his townreads with Enigma (who flipped green - confirming Prof’s “good reads”).

Pine/Prof are my fav team if Enigma is town. Not totally settled on that, but I agree with others who have said it’s reasonable that any vote for Chickadee was more likely town

I guess most people have shared who they'd consider voting for, at least

Yes?
Have you addressed Enigma’s vote on chickadee and how that makes him townier?

Wait so some people have said that enigma is town for voting chickadee because scum wouldn't know there would be so many votes on chickadee
But if scum didn't know, then why does enigma get town points for voting her?

IKR it's like the word might have been "fairy", "pumpkin", or "laser" but we'll never know

If the remaining scum is enigma/prof, is hilarious

In post 1398, Prof Fridays wrote:And now we've obviously decided I was right before and this non-consensus lynch actually caught us a Saboteur and we have virtually conftown based off of who voted whom. This is a point defending myself (also note I didn't get on board with the consensus town lynch), as well as questioning both Irrelephant's and GL's leadership.
This is a mildly good point for you being town, except that in general part of why it's towny to not go consensus is because we have a fortunate, which at the time we were arguing about it we didn't yet
But yeah this is true
I mostly just thought D1 we didn't have clear enough ideas about most players' reads, so I took the reigns. I see you no longer scumread me after seeing my vote, but I don't think this is a strong reason to scumread Guilty atm

If I told you I had a cop clear on Guilty who would your lynchpool be?
