I could have sworn I'd posted in this thread before.

This has been my favorite game for a while now, ever since Shadow made me start playing it again in MSG. I mostly enjoy creative deckbuilding and/or modifying existing decks to adjust to the meta. I've only hit Legend once, using a Keleseth Val'Anyr Paladin during the second month of KaC. Val'Anyr + Saronite/Doppelgangster is ridiculously fun, and it hit a sweet spot in the meta for a few weeks before falling out of favor.

Right now I'm messing around with Cube/Play Dead in what would otherwise be Midrange Hunter. Hit a stump at Rank 7. Play Dead can surprisingly fit just fine in decks with enough deathrattles. You're already running Kindly Grandmother, a 1 mana 3/2 is great. Late-game, you want to cube sticky minions like Highmane/Infested Wolf/even Kindly Grandmother. Or Huffer. Huffer is a fun cube target.

On phone but I'll just list it all grossly and unformatted

x2 Alleycat
x2 Dire Mole
x2 Play Dead
x2 Crackling Razormaw
x2 Kindly Grandmother
x2 Scavenging Hyena
x2 Animal Companion
x1 Devilsaur Egg
x2 Eaglehorn Bow
x2 Kill Command
x1 Terrorscale Stalker
x2 Unleash the Hounds
x2 Cult Master
x2 Houndmaster
x1 Infested Wolf
x2 Carnivorous Cube
x1 Savannah Highmane

Definitely wouldn't call it "refined" but it's been working well for me, if you're thinking a certain change would work well you're probably right. I tried more standard Big Hunter with Kathrena and Corpse Widow/Tundra Rhino but it didn't perform as well, might go back to messing with it soon.

One fun thing to note is that Corpse Widow reduces Cube's cost to 3. I feel like there's a combination there that would make a good build.

I'm excited! There are several interesting cards being released. I'm looking forward to finding a way to create five Clockwork Automatons with Hunter and nuke the opponent for 32 with my hero power. And speaking of Hunter, Dire Frenzy and Wing Blast seem extremely exciting - Hunter's got almost enough tools to have a legitimate control deck on its hands. Dollmaster Dorian looks terrifying, and Duskbat looks like a broken Zoo card for Warlock. Rotten Applebaum is certainly going in my Deathrattle Hunter, and Witchwood Grizzly is broken.

Most of my opinions are on meme decks but I wouldn't count this expansion out by any means. There's still a lot left to be revealed.

Did you get all of that with just the pre-order? That's insane. I got Splintergraft, Toki, Emeriss and Prince Liam, all garbage.

I'm so mad. I came up with a sick Glinda Warlock deck all on my own, only for Shadow to link me to the inn-vitational and dog to be playing it almost card-for-card on stream. I won't get any credit for my work :(

I'd say it's better? Not as many dead cards in your hand all game, and the prerequisites more actively help you stay alive and are cards you would consider putting in your control deck anyway (besides grumble). I feel the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

Regardless it's 10x cooler than exodia mage and that's what matters.

Warlock's your best bet for a hard Paladin counter. Or possibly Hand Druid, though that's kind of a meme.

I don't know nearly enough about Hand Druid to know for sure on this but wouldn't an early Mountain Giant be pretty devastating for Cubelock?

I'm currently 36-16 with a Midrange Hunter I put together yesterday. I forget where I started the climb, I think top of Rank 10, but I'm Rank 4 now. Dire Frenzy is surprisingly good with early-game minions (and Huffer!), especially when you have Tracking to search for the buffed minions. Oh, and Houndmaster Shaw is insane if it manages to survive a turn. Vicious Scalehide is the reason I can beat aggro and is insanely good with Dire Frenzy.

The list isn't super refined or anything, but I'll post it here anyway:

### Midrange
# Class: Hunter
# Format: Standard
# Year of the Raven
#
# 2x (1) Dire Mole
# 2x (1) Jeweled Macaw
# 2x (1) Tracking
# 2x (2) Crackling Razormaw
# 1x (2) Hunting Mastiff
# 2x (2) Scavenging Hyena
# 2x (2) Vicious Scalehide
# 2x (3) Animal Companion
# 2x (3) Eaglehorn Bow
# 2x (3) Kill Command
# 2x (3) Unleash the Hounds
# 2x (4) Dire Frenzy
# 2x (4) Houndmaster
# 1x (4) Houndmaster Shaw
# 1x (4) Spellbreaker
# 1x (6) Deathstalker Rexxar
# 2x (6) Savannah Highmane

are you all ready for this because this is going to be the most memey deck you've ever seen (in standard at least)

TOGLOCK

I've heard a little bit about a combo going around in Wild for Druid that gets to fatigue and then steals people's decks. I wanted to recreate that in Standard, and I found that Warlock can actually pull it off.

The whole idea is that you reach fatigue as soon as possible while playing what's otherwise regular Control Warlock. This can be sped up significantly with Hemet, Jungle Hunter. Once you're out of cards, you play the following cards in order to make a (10)-mana combo:

- Summoning Portal, Summoning Portal, Faceless Manipulator: minions now cost (6) less
- King Togwaggle: swap decks with your opponent
- Azalina Soulthief: replace your hand with a copy of your opponent's hand

This leaves your opponent in fatigue and you with all of their resources. If they try to swap the decks again, you just swap them right back. Prince Taldaram is in the deck too to make the combo even cheaper when he manages to make his way into your final hand, and also to allow for flexibility (if you want to use Faceless on a Voidlord or something).

I've pushed from Rank 5 to almost Rank 3 with it so far. Going to be trying to push further tomorrow night. The deck performs extremely well against any type of control deck (Cubelock, Control Priest, Quest Warrior, Big Spell Mage, Taunt Druid, jaws that bite and claws that catch). Here's the list if anyone's interested (though obviously don't craft Togwaggle or Hemet unless you already have them or have a lot of dust):

### Toglock
# Class: Warlock
# Format: Standard
# Year of the Raven
#
# 2x (1) Dark Pact
# 2x (1) Kobold Librarian
# 2x (1) Mortal Coil
# 1x (2) Bloodmage Thalnos
# 1x (2) Curse of Weakness
# 2x (2) Defile
# 2x (2) Doomsayer
# 2x (2) Plated Beetle
# 1x (3) Prince Taldaram
# 1x (4) Hellfire
# 2x (4) Summoning Portal
# 1x (5) Faceless Manipulator
# 2x (5) Possessed Lackey
# 1x (6) Hemet, Jungle Hunter
# 1x (6) Siphon Soul
# 1x (7) Azalina Soulthief
# 1x (8) King Togwaggle
# 2x (8) Twisting Nether
# 2x (9) Voidlord
# 1x (10) Bloodreaver Gul'dan

One thing worth noting - if you want to sub in three-drops you can, and I should probably consider putting some in. Prince isn't used until your deck is literally empty.

And yeah Controllock is crazy expensive. I don't have Godfrey or he'd probably be in it as well.

Nah, there’s a month left until next expansion, it’ll probably last until then. It’s a tier 1 deck but not the best deck or particularly broken, and I can’t pinpoint a single card that actually needs a nerf in it. The only thing I can think of is maybe making Happy Ghoul cost 1 if your hero is healed.

Warlock/Mage/Paladin/Rogue/Shaman all seem to be highly competitive arena classes atm. Priest and Druid can highroll in the draft for really solid decks. Hunter and Warrior are lacking.

I enjoy picking Hunter every once in a while when I don’t like the other choices. Every once in a while you draft a deck that can roll over Warlocks, which are everywhere right now. It just suffers against Mages and Priests.

Mecha’thun Druid is the talk of the town, but the
real
way to play it is Mecha’thun Warlock. Cataclysm is such a clean way of triggering Mecha’thun.

I'm climbing the ladder fast with Spiteful Druid. 21-8 so far from Rank 5-3. There are a bunch of combo decks out there and Spiteful just crushes them. The deck also got a few new tools in Floop, Tending Tauren, and Giggling Inventor.

Made it to Legend just now with the Spiteful Druid deck I was talking about last night. 41-16, a 72% winrate. It went through a few changes, but here's the list that got me to legend if anyone wants to try it:

# Year of the Raven
#
# 2x (1) Argent Squire
# 2x (1) Fire Fly
# 1x (1) Mecharoo
# 1x (2) Prince Keleseth
# 1x (3) Blood Knight
# 2x (3) Crypt Lord
# 2x (3) Greedy Sprite
# 1x (3) Mind Control Tech
# 1x (3) Stoneskin Basilisk
# 1x (3) Thrallmar Farseer
# 2x (4) Corpsetaker
# 1x (4) Flobbidinous Floop
# 2x (4) Saronite Chain Gang
# 2x (5) Fungalmancer
# 2x (5) Giggling Inventor

It could probably be made budget with similar success really easily; the only required legendary is Keleseth.
