The biggest games of this year (Red Dead, Mass Effect, star wars) are NOT coming to this thing. EA is making just fifa, it seems?

Like, couldn't bethesda have even done fallout 4 instead of skyrim?

Also as much as Nintendo consoles have technically worse graphics, Nintendo first party games' art design and ability to use their consoles limited capabilities is absolutely fantastic - Mario Kart 8 was one of the best looking games of the generation in my opinion (and ran at 720p/60fps which isn't bad for a console), and SSB4 looked pretty great and ran at 1080p/60fps which most console games could barely dream of.

I'll admit, I'm basically only buying the Switch for the exclusives, and that's what I did with the Wii U, but from my view I don't really see home consoles as having any significant appeal beyond that (though handhelds are a different kettle of fish entirely).

Davsto. You need to understand that like this first phase means a lot. Wii U died about 3 months in and everyone knew it. If this thing doesn't get traction relatively quickly, it very likely will die and get neglected just like Wii U.

Wii u sold 400k first week in the US which ended up as over 3 million in 8 weeks.
It just didn't sell much after that.

I'm not saying either way. I just don't think you can make judgments. Nintendo has a hardcore audience of around 5 million people. Wii u showed that. People come out at launch. The real test is if other people show up in big numbers.

I really like it! HD rumble does seemingly nothing in either game I have ( Mario kart, Shovel Knight)

Fun to hold, nice design. Battery actually works for me? Screen is gorgeous.

kickstand is not great. WiFi connection is by far the worst of all my tech.

Overall definitely like a lot though. I kinda see it as the Vita 2 + nintendo games

Ultra moon and sun will outsell the switch this year. They have no real need to make a switch version. They'll sell WAY more on the 3ds with 60 million units in the wild (and you can buy a new one for like 100$)

(Mario 2, do.you mean lost levels? Or the US Mario 2 where you play as peach etc? I love that game, I'd rate it way higher)

Not sure where to place oddyssey yet though. I think galaxy 2 is better than it so far (though I haven't beat the story. Am at 200 moons though)
