Prodded. Apologies for my absence, it’s site-wide. Rough week at work, and Pinecone is sick, and Lady Pine may also be developing something. I’ll probably be fine, I have a Constitution score of like 22. Auntie Maple definitely has bronchitis, and is keeping her distance as much as possible in a family business where you work 100+ hours a week in close proximity.

Meaningful content hopefully later today.

Yikes, hope your family gets well, Pine :(

Lets all out a readslist to get this game going again?
How do you expect to find the culprit when you're all worried about each other's feelings? If you're planning to expose a liar, then you have to corner them psychologically.

I'm not sure why people want to pick a number already. If we get a bad number we would run the risk of someone picking another and ending the day prematurely. Yeah, whoever did that would probably be lynched, and in the worst case scenario it could be a confused town player who did not know what they were doing.
In post 1063, Irrelephant11 wrote:Please talk more about [Mylo's meta].
This is not an easy subject to discuss. The problem is that Myloninja has been severely overgamed, with at least seven games besides this one and four of them large, and that would play merry hell on your meta. I tried to overcome this by using his current games, as he has flipped in some of them, but since the games themselves remain ongoing I cannot talk about them. Unsatisfactory I'm sure, but it can't be helped.

What I can say based on his concluded games is that his scum meta appears to have an element not present in his town meta. It is about him being more serious and pushing himself to produce content, which comes out forced and awkward. I think his activity is also relevant, and he can lurk for real instead of active lurking as scum. Maybe the best example of this I can share is , where Myloninja appears after days of lurking, posts some reads for token activity, and disappears again. He has done nothing like this here. There is nothing in his tone to suggest he was not relaxed and having fun. He has done almost nothing relevant to the game and shared almost no reads, but the irony is I might be more suspicious if he had.

There is however something else to consider. I wanted to say I had not seen Myloninja make a serious reads post as town, and then I found . There is a subtle difference in tone and no lurking, but otherwise I may well have mistaken him for scum in that game. In fact that makes me wonder. His performance in that game was so completely unlike his play here, so that if his meta can be that different, what did Northsidegal base her read on?

NSG has I think only misread me once in a marathon game, but otherwise they have indeed had a perfect track record of reading me lol.

I think everyone knows what's going on. Kokichi is the only one who has expressed general misunderstanding, but at the same time I don't feel wants to pick a number. And if someone did speed-pick, they are absolutely the lynch.

I think it's safe to go ahead and pick something.

@Mylo, you came in but you didn't answer this.
In post 1049, Chickadee wrote:These are two very different reactions to potentially picking a number...
In post 1019, Irrelephant11 wrote:so Feysal's analysis weakens my townread on nsg, but I agree with ofrhz it doesn't necessarily make mylo scum.
In post 982, Chickadee wrote:I still think we should pick someone soon, like halfway through our self-set time limit (which I like btw) to pick the first number. That way we have time to assess, and it's not just immediately the end of the day. My first nom would go to irrelephant11, for being so widely town read. Thoughts?
I don't necessarily love the idea of it being me, though if we're trying to pick town I guess I know I'm town :P
I do think it might be a good idea to have the first guess be halfway through the day, so we can decide if the same player should guess or not

I agree Prof Fridays didn't really answer my question.

@Mylo please provide some scumreads

I don't think it's that significant, Chickadee. He just wants to pick a number. I do, too, but mostly to move the game along at this point. But since we've openly stated someone picking a number without permission will be lynched, no one is therefore picking a number, and we have to real system of 'giving permission'.

Well then what's the point in asking if he can pick number? I'm honestly curious what answer, if any, he thought he'd get.

It just needed to be done. The only ones not in the dark here are scum, and we aren't obligated to elect someone to guess. Why would I trust anyone other than myself when no one has a clue?

Pineeeee just as I was putting you in my "almost definitely town" pile you have to pull this wifom-y crap

...I'm actually kinda townreading you for it

A lot of players aren't voting? Which I think is bad play. There's been a lot of discussion but most players just don't seem to want to vote? Like this is still mafia, guys

There’s no WIFOM there. The odds are super stacked against us - I don’t recall how to do mathematical combinations, but even without the presence of bad actors, our odds of success are <40%. With a bad guess down, our odds are down to 1/9 (I think). I’m not willing to reduce those odds further by letting someone I don’t trust (in this case all of you) sink our chances further. Case in point:
