Helllloooo I just started playing this a little while back and figured I would let everyone know.

I do terrible in Arena. I guess just because I don't know how to make a good deck but I also feel I have been getting really unlucky.

I did a priest vs priest and he had circle of healing, cleric, light spawns, thought steals... all of these things that would come with a priest deck. I had like... two holy novas and a mind games. Every draw was mostly death rattle minions.

Deathlord is hilarious and it depends on how risky you want to be. I personally like him but would never run him just because of the nature of decks I play.

Just played Mage in arena and got 7 wins. Best so far.

My favorite moment though was against a Druid turn 3. I had Tauren Warrior out and he put up a black Panther to trade evenly with it. I poked my Tauren to enrage then swapped its health with an alchemist. After the turn was over, I had killed his panther and now had a 2/2 and 5/2 with taunt on the board.

I was so in love with myself at that point because I don't usually see plays like that lol

I hope there are more "make your opponent draw" cards coming out. I finally just won with a card draw deck and it is hilarious.

Rogue with vanish then coldlight seer/shadow step - coldlighter seer. So many burnt cards made me laugh.

Unrelated note... I really suck with the warrior.

Probably just me but I don't like this expansion at all. I guess some of the cards are fun and trolly but I can't play the game hoping to win anymore due to all the RNG.

I got creamed in two arenas and will never take Mad Bomber or Madder Bomber ever again.

Yeah... I lose so many games because of the bomber and the worse part is it doesn't even matter who is playing him.

I must admit the Coghammer is crazy strong.

I don't like Thoughtsteal that much, actually. I think it's a worse Arcane Intellect. Would you run 4 Arcane Intellects in Arena?

No but the amount of troll that you get out of thought steal is great. Had a bit of fun with it but my deck is obviously bad because of them.

I got him once in arena and only actually drew him once during that run. It was fun having him but didn't save me. I died next turn anyways.

Also, I got my second legendary now. It is the secondary Paladin hero who's attack goes up when your minions die. He is also gold so I may just disenchant him to get a different legendary but I don't know what I want.

I remember saying in this thread that I wish there were more mill cards and this expansion has made mill-druid finally a thing.

I had lots of fun with it too but I can see it being frustrating to play against.

I played arena with an... ok deck? I had some strong early game and my late game relied mostly on blood boil and fire elementals. Didn't really matter though because I got creamed by all the mages. I literally played 1 game against a priest and then the rest were against Mages. I went 2-3 which was pathetic considering the deck I had. I beat a mage once thanks to him playing aggro and not having very many removal spells.

basically just saying I hate playing against mages... they are too damn strong with their hero power and removal.

I will never reach a 12 win arena unless it is with Mage. I did pretty good with Hunter and managed 6 wins but lost three in a row to Mages.

I hate it when I get the option of Warrior/Shaman/Warlock.

I'm very much a casual player so I just don't think I have the cards for making Druid good. I don't have any Naxx or Blackrock cards. I do try to innervate/wildgrowth to ramp really hard but standardly I get myself caught with only being able to play a creature a turn and my opponent flooding me. Don't have the combo (missing Force of Nature).

Mostly just wanted to win with them for quest gold but gave up on it and went with Rouge the other option, which just don't really have fun playing. I have more fun winning with Rogue then I do losing with Druid though

I had drafted it with mage expecting to deal with the 1 drop. The problem was the one drop just spawned an even better option.

Whoa... Foe-reaper has got to be one of the best legendaries you can get for arena... I couldn't deal with it at all. He just kept eating cards and buffing it.

I'm dying right now lol. I had a pretty close game 1 with a hunter arena and need about 4 damage to finish my opponent. I was trying to think of spells and such that I had to deal it and couldn't.

I completely forgot about my kraken and ended up playing a venture co and elephant. The Elephant drew me right into Kraken which I couldn't play the next turn

I just found out that face hunter is pretty good against Agro Shaman

I had a really strong start with two buccaneers in my hand going 2nd so I was able to coin both out and get a 3/2 weapon turn 2. Turn 3 I play a Pirate Lord to buff the dudes 1/1. His turn four he pyromancers/equality thinking he would board wipe but all he managed to do is kill the lord and leave me with my two bucs still since their base toughness was already 1.

I poisoned a new blade... he conceeded lol. Amazing start for a paladin that wasn't very aggressive. Turn 4 win!

I watched AP win his 12 win in arena and the game was hilarious. He was playing paladin and ended up getting a bolster or whatever its called that is +2/+2 to taunt creatures from a spell slinger his opponent played. Seemed useless at the time but late game he top decked a sunfury protector for the win. I was cracking up when I saw him draw that.

Meanwhile I go 0-3 in arena with Priest and Warlock. I just... bleh can't draft these days.

This deck is actually going to be terrible against anyone that just puts out big creatures. I can board clear small stuff all day though.

I can't beat the Lich King. I tried looking up lists to help me but they all include cards I just don't have. Might not be possible to beat him budget wise without some crazy good draws.

I guess what gets me about it is that I feel things are out of my control.

For example, I just lost a game where we got into top deck mode. My opponent was at 5 and I was at 27. I was looking for Baron or Firelands portal or Fireball with my last 9 cards. Instead, we trade pretty much 1 for 1 on cards, I use a polymorph a little early because his next draw was a murloc serpent thingy. I lost with 4 cards left in deck finally drawing firelands but he had already managed to gain life 2 turns before. The tipping point was he played Elise and then drew the pack next draw.

The game has so many moments like this where I need the RNG to go in my favor and it doesn't therefor another loss.

Derailing from Arena topic, I've been playing Evolve shaman lately and decided that I can't stand drawing Bloodlust. Every so often I can draw it and just win the game but I find a majority of my games that I just get pissed off having it in my hand. It isn't helpful to have the card if I can't establish a board presence and usually if I have that presence then I'm already in a winning position.

Am I wrong in thinking Bloodlust isn't necessary?

Still lost in the final boss because I couldn't draw 1 of the FUCKING COLDLIGHTS. I seriously can't believe how bad the draws were that I was hitting the random off shit in my deck and not any of the draw cards.

I'm finally getting into trying to play standard again with the new set and I think tempo rogue is the safe bet. Cubelock is causing the combo decks and midrange to come back and tempo rogue is pretty much king there.

Tempo Rogue vs Highlander Priest turns into Priest playing Tempo with a Silenced Velen/Stolen BoneMare and just value trading and healing. I was in a bad spot but swashburgler got me a devour mind which got me DK Priest.

Essentially the game turned into me playing Highlander Rogue with him playing Tempo Priest. Strange game.

I play against hunter and swing my firefly into a wandering monster. He gets eaten by a 3/3.

Next game, I play wandering monster after my opponent plays firefly. He trades into my 5/1. I play another wandering monster to handle the second part of firefly, still trades into yet ANOTHER 5/1.

No not usually, I tend to draw patches too much as well. It depends on what I'm playing against too. Sometimes I trade patches into other zoo decks like the warlock one.

I tend to do arena runs a lot so I just wait till I craft stuff naturally and dust. I dust like... golden stuff as soon as i get it but for the most part, i try not to dust anything unless its super obvious I won't ever play it. I've been burned before dusting something that turned out I needed.

I finally won playing radiant elemental/inner fire/power word shield. I just kept restarting til I hit radiant elemental with power word and cycled my deck until I hit innerfire to win.

There are so many decks that you can't interact with anymore.

Mechathun decks or Rogue Spell Kill.

These OTK combos are fun to play and all but they need counter play. So far I can only think of Warlock.
