i think it might be a good idea to actively engineer discussion in the title thread every so often so it stays in the public consciousness

like people pick whatever as long as it connects to the season

still think they should be easy to get but temporary, and only made permanent in threads like this one after due discussion
imo one shouldn't have to follow 3 other title threads to be sure they can have input on those calls about whether a title meets criteria or not

I don't like permanent titles being assigned outside the main thread. temporary, sure, but it strikes me as a bit annoying that someone can get a title that'll last the life of the site and people unwilling to egopost in multiple title threads won't hear a peep about it

think there need to be clear principles around this. i don't think we just want to remove all references to violence in mafia.

It has been more than a year and COVID is still not over, thus forcing mastina to not do a titling event, or she will die.

As in, there is an assassin who, at all times, has a sniper rifle aimed at mastina's head, and will only shoot if she thinks about hosting a titling event during COVID.

I have never thought titles just magically happen out of thin air. Maybe sometimes it happens, but in practice it's probably usually deliberate brainstorming.

If every nominaton was perfect we'd have like... half a dozen titles and this thread would subsequently not exist.

Like, this seems to misrepresent/strawman the position. No one in this discussion has asserted that only perfect nominations should be approved.

yeah i think the best discussions start w/ some features worth incorporating in a title
noms usually do that, so it's not been a problem
but noms aren't necessary
