General Rules:

1. Site Rules apply.
2. You may not quote your role PM, you may not quote any other PMs from me, and you may not quote the time at which I sent you any PM.
3. The default mafiascum skin font colours (in bold) are my mod colours. I would strongly encourage you to use them if you feel the need to.
4. If you have a question or concern, or if you think that I may have made an error, do not hesitate to ask in-topic or by PM. Be sure to bold requests directed at me so that I see them.
5. If you break any of these rules, or if I deem it to be appropriate, you could be warned, force-replaced, or modkilled, depending on the severity of what you did.
5. If a player is modkilled, they will die and become a Neutral Survivor resulting in their loss.
6. Please be respectful and kind towards other players. I understand that Mafia can be a heated game sometimes, but there is a line, and if you cross it the game stops being fun. In particular, personal attacks are not allowed.
7. Once you die you may not post anymore.
8. No encryption please. Breadcrumbing is fine, but things like encrypting your role into scrambled text are not. If you have any questions about what does and does not violate this rule, feel free to ask me, and I will answer.
9. Don’t claim scum with another player in a serious manner. I will judge what counts as serious; don't toe the line. Claiming scum by yourself is fine, but please don’t lose the game intentionally by doing so.
10. Don’t work against your win condition.
11. Don’t use provable randomness. Saying “I rolled a dice and it landed on 2” is acceptable; posting a screenshot of you using random.org, or using dice tags, is not acceptable.
12. Use your common sense; I try to include as much as I can but this is probably not an exhaustive list of all things you are not allowed to do.
13. I reserve the right to change any of these rules or any of the time, or make any judgement irregardless of what these rules say (although I will try to follow what I have said here as closely as possible.)
14. The spirit of these rules is what counts, not the exact wording. If you find a loophole in these rules, don't be surprised when I modkill you anyway.

Voting, Lynching, and Deadlines:

15. As with any mafia game, you can vote for a player to get them lynched, you can vote for a No Lynch, or you can not vote at all.
16. Votes must use the bold tags or the vote tags, like this: VOTE: teh worts or this:

. please try and use recognisable names/nicknames wherever possible.
17. A lynch requires a majority (over 50%) vote. For example, when there are 9 players alive, it will take 5 votes to lynch, because that is the smallest number over 50% of the number of players.
18. Deadlines are 7 days long for days and 2 days long for nights, although I may extend this if I deem it appropriate. When the deadline expires, the day will end without a lynch.
19. When a lynch is reached or deadline expires, I will lock the thread and start the Night phase as soon as I can. You are allowed to post before I do this, if you want.
20. All approved private topics included in any role PMs may be used for discussion at any time. That means that the mafia, along with any other hypothetical roles using private topics, may be used during both day phases and night phases.

Prodding and Activity:

21. If a player fails to post for 36 consecutive hours, they will be prodded. If that player does not post for another 24 hours after they've been prodded, they'll be replaced.
22. If you are going away, or if you have limited access to the site, notify me by pm or in-topic so that I know not to prod or replace you. The maximum amount of time you may go without posting due to V/LA is 120 hours (five days).

firstly I'd like to really sincerely apologise to Reundo (and by extension, everyone) for the error. Reundo received a mistaken result on nonny--I copied & pasted the wrong template (saying he DID detect motion rather than DID NOT). so the action i took was to:-
1. alert Reundo to the fact that his result was incorrect, and advise the correct result.
2. confirm that a mod error had occurred, but...obviously not confirm the nature of the mod error.
3. the extension was granted because the thread was locked for like ~15 minutes during a reasonably well flowing conversation, and it was pretty close to EOD.

since the information was in the thread, it's not that the slot was compromised. it's more that the nature of the information was compromised, and the incorrect solve was partially my fault. so i really sincerely hope this course of action was accepted by everyone. ultimately, it was the best thing I could think of. again I'm really sorry for the error; I think in future games I'll try and make action results more markedly different while carrying consistent language so that it's more noticeable. it's not easy being blonde, nor literally being a duck.


as far as people who really struck me as strong this game...

- you randed a really tough TPR, and from a technical point of view your night actions were perfect. I was headcannoning in the mod thread that you were vanilla town hunting which is i think pretty close to what you did? which is technically excellent play. every time a motion detector detects nothing there's a >rand chance their result is a soft townclear, which is super super valuable. on the flipside, detecting motion which is inconsistent with claimed night actions is usually a tell that you've cottoned onto some scum manipulation OR the night killer! the only constructive feedback that I can think to offer would have been forcing a massclaim d4. I think given the low chance of Gamma not acting n1, Una's glorious credibility would've taken a bit of a hit which might have stalled for some time. still, you were in such a tough position at endgame. being a mislynch at a time like this is tough.

I think you know I really heavily rate your towngame (hopefully we stop b2b rolling against each other! ) but, all things considered, I think this game stood up. I sincerely believe sub-14 day phases are a stronger choice for building player engagement in the mafia community, but I know that the swift adjustment can also somewhat compromise the flow of the thread. I believe that when apathy started to settle in, you were very centrally the town-aligned player who realised that the gamestate was stalling hard and town was in a precarious slot. as a result, your solving and re-invigoration efforts were absolutely brilliant. both solving scum!Una and rallying the support during your last day phase

have been the game winning move, but I would've/could've/should've is too difficult. hindsight is 20/20, and all that. your force against dave nearly totally flipped the scales, and it was a pleasure to read!

Yeah the normal rules use a very specific (the 'rulebook' version) of the loud modifier. I actually sheeped Pine's application of it in NY214 very closely, because I know how meticulously that game was planned!

Also I'm not sure if I'm meant to name them or not but the reviewers for this game went above and beyond to facilitate our (many, many, many, many) eccentric setup ideas.

I think the mafia roles for example offer a surprising duality to what the optimal play is (loud doctor offers vig cover or loud gambit play; ninja RB has to decide whether to duck the watcher+motion detector via the ninja kill or roleblock and expose the night killing teammate).
