My instinct is to err on the side of caution when it comes to dueling, but I mean, at the same time I signed up for this game because it's called Epic Duel, so I'd be bummed if we got through the game without using it.

This setup is easily navigable as scum, I can just lynch anyone who duels me and win.

As town I expect to be in a duel with a townread that creates a no win scenario at some point.

I don’t think it’s that bad.
Yeah there is the fear of not knowing if you are in a lose-lose or if your opponent is scum.
But we only have to succeed with 2 lynched/duels and scum need 4 mislynces.
It seems weighted in our favor.

Like I can't solve games when a bunch of people are doing nothing's content wise besides calling me scum. If I Lynch them all since they're unreadable everyone gets mad at me for policy lynching people who scumread me to make my scumgame easier (fuck you I do not sandbag my town game at all thanks.) If I don't lynch them it encourages people to do it and encourages scum to just lynch me when I'm having a good game and kills the threat level I pose as scum. On top of this I still get nightkilled early for being good so it's like I'm trying to enact a game winning plan for town on the one day phsse I'm alive struggling through a bunch of fucking morons calling me scum and s bunch of others policy ignoring my reads because I'm good as scum then if I manage to get my reads to s good place and get some control over the game I just get shot.

It's demonstrably better for everyone involved's winrate to leave me the fuck alone as town but when games are lost because people shit tunneled me I get blamed for it and no one reconsiders their own approaches but when people lose games because I outplayed them as scum it sticks in their mind.

And now even people I've never played before are joining my games and discussing D1 policy lynches so

No, I don't want to play town anymore right now.
