And this post is why Kokichi is currently my top town. Viewing Dunn miller claim as NAI, seems to be the most logical response to said claim.

Either pushing or opposing Dunn wagon too strongly is pinging because without anything more to base either stance on, there is no good reason presently, to view Dunn claim as AI.

I highly doubt 2 scum would be claiming Miller whether real or fake, and both are sketchy, but at least one of them is town maybe, this hurts my brain.

This is precisely why I asked my alignment cop question, because that is usually the motivation for most miller claims in non-FG games. I randed miller recently in an MU game and was given grief post-game for never claiming it. My rationale was I wouldn’t need to if I never got cop-checked and I wasn’t and decided if I ever was, I’d just urge town to lynch me, rather than remain a question mark in that game.

I'm familiar with FG setups, but not Alice setups, for which this seems to be the norm.

If you can gauge her sincerity, it is. One of the best alignment indicators is not so much genuinenrss but sincerity of belief. I think that’s generally one of the hardest things to fake as scum.

All we know is that a desperado (whose role PM isn't even fully revealed) bolded a shot at you in the thread and then died.
So

yes, it is as close to an IC as what we can get without it being an IC, but this is a closed non-normal setup, so accepting it at face value may lead to getting finessed by scum who lucked out with a very unlikely role interaction.

That said, I'd consider having that sort of role interaction to be bad setup design and I'd be fine losing a game because a mod included something that's so likely to be town-read, if that makes sense.

This is why I've accepted that you're town beyond a reasonable doubt.

It is definitely atypical for an FG setup but then so are 7 desperadoes. FG could not have forseen that town would kill 4 of them - either by vig (Dunn) or by desperado shootings.

Another interesting thing is that there are 3 mains in every single FG game and all 3 are still alive. Also, no minor characters have been revealed at SOD.

Now since Tripod seems to be MIA, even if he flips scum, it might not give us any info, because scum might be bussing under the circumstances.

If Tripod is scum, I would ideally like to have some idea on whom his partners could be.

If there was no extra kill, then maybe scum didn’t target me and went straight for whom they assumed was doc and for some reason N2, assumed if there was a doc, they’d be on me over Drixx. Why? But if the desperado guesses wrong, then we lose a townie - assuming there’s a town one obviously, who shoots outside the miller pool, and if miller also might kill a townie.

We’re at L-1 now, so I’d rather just have a hammer.

But there’s also the argument that Drixx NK gave us no info. Had we lynched instead, scum could have conceivably NKed a player with lower town equity.

I think the best reason for desperado to shoot, would be to sort a player unlikely to be wagoned. I think the desp shooting the L-1 player doesn’t really make that much sense to me - especially if there’s only one left and they could conceivably win the game for us - or stop us from losing - in LYLO

If scum tries to pull a fast one and wagons town, a town desp could conceivably prevent this. Not necessarily a loose cannon. I’ve been in games with desps that get opinions first. Just because none on the other 2 desps were loose cannons, we shouldn’t necessarily assume the last one - if there is one and if town - would be that.

My point is that other than alignment checking, there isn’t anything else to be gained by desp shooting the leas wagon and risk being outed.

The last desp - if there even is one, would be most optimally utilizes in a situation like that. I think it’s ill-considered for them to out, only to shoot the lead wagon.

There probably isn’t anymore though. So, this is likely just useless speculation anyway.
