Spain: Juliana Hatfield - I See You

Classic late 80s/early 90s style. I like it

The vocals are good, its simple and nice. And the simplicity is reflected in the video style.
I mean, it's a little weird that it's literally a song to and about a cockroach(?), but that also grounds the song.
I'd listen to this again with a smile

Tanzania: Sorrow Estate - Pitter Patter

What a nice smooth song

Lots of emotion without slapping you with it!
And the onomatopoeia is well used actually.

This reminds me of a youtuber I follow(ed - haven't seen them post in a while) who does Acoustic K-pop covers.
I really like the style and the sound of it, as well as the mixing of languages. It's an easy listen that brings a smile

Kinda diverges a bit

I think it's hilarious though, as well as a good tune and a fantastic video!

I used to also be very meh about the videos, but I listen much more on Youtube now than I used to so they have started to matter more. While I agree that the music is the point of this contest, the songs are an art form and the videos are made to compliment them, sometimes to enhance them. I've never given a song I dislike a good mark because of the video, but I will consider a higher mark for one which has a video that lends the song more meaning.
