Flavor/Mechanics:
At the start of the game, players will get to design 2 roles. 1 before and 1 after they receive their alignment. I will then create a 10:3 setup based on these roles which will be as balanced as possible.

As I am not designing the roles myself, there is no guarantee the game will be balanced. Furthermore, players themselves may submit roles that are inherently bastard. I don’t expect the game to be too bastard though as I am likely to not include roles that are too unfair or unbalanced. (After all, 26 roles will be submitted but only 13 will be used).
The game will be as balanced and non-bastard as I can make it given the roles that are submitted.



@Listmod:
I'd just like to point out that this game was /in-ed before police academy, which seems to be the only game in the modding queue, and this game was /in-ed to the queue thereafter.

After having a hot debate with the voices in my head I have concluded that, in my game, days 1, 3, 4 and 7 will adhere to this new policy. However, days 2, 5, 6 and 8+ will follow the old rules. I have made this decision so that players of my game will be eased into the new rule set instead of having to take it on all at once.

Flavor/Mechanics:
During each day phase, the town must work together to complete a challenge given to them by the mod. If the town successfully completes the challenge, they will be rewarded with a random townie secretly becoming a power townie. However, 3 of them cannot be trusted and must try to sabotage the challenge to avoid the town's power from growing. Voting does not take place during this phase and instead, once the challenge has either been completed or failed, players must send me a PM stating who they are voting for and why. These PMs are then posted in the thread after the voting time has expired and whoever has the most votes is lynched.

Actually, this game should probably be properly labelled as bastard under 'mod influence'. The reason for this is a fair few of the challenges rely on me being active and constantly checking the thread. I will try to be as active as possible at a steady rate but I cannot guarantee I will be there all the time. If my activity falters for whatever reason, this can have a negative impact on the town. I don't think this will have too much overall impact on the game but please be aware of it.


Edit: Also, BTD6_maker has both reviewed the game and is going to be a Co-Mod.

Edit2: Being the smart game designers we are we have mostly come up with a way around it :P (aka BTD6_maker suggested a way around it and I agreed).

I honestly don't think it will be. A lot of thought and effort has gone into making the game, and with BTD6_maker giving input on the game, I think it's at a strong point.

You might be concerned with how the physical games of the show have been translated to a text-based forum. Well, we've tried to make the challenges as interesting as possible and allow scum to be able to easily manipulate them whilst allowing town to be able to use them to further their own scum hunting. The game is very much focussed on how players act within the game and scum can either win or lose the game depending on how badly or well they sabotage the challenges. Town, of course, must stop themselves from accidentally sabotaging the challenge. Obviously, day play won't be entirely devoted to the challenges as everyone must also discuss who to vote for with the lynching mechanic being interesting for who sticks to what the majority have said.

The balance of this game is entirely dependant on how well each person plays with the mechanics of the game simply bringing new elements to scum read people over.

Mafia but the mod has less time than the players do.
Flavor/Mechanics:
I like modding, but I’ve been really stressed recently and don’t have time for it. But I still want to mod, y’get me? So I’m going to mod anyway. Basically, the game will just be me making things up as I go along and only putting effort in if I have time to (I mean effort in things like the formatting of posts). An example of mechanics: there will be no set durations for phases and instead I will end them when I have time to. One thing I will guarantee though is that it will be fun.

Mini Theme 2022: Trapped! - This game started by being modded decently but if you look at my last bunch of posts in the thread that will be similar to my attitude to modding this game.
