I got my B&M hood at 12:50. so yeah lol.
The only motivation A50 has to claim is to cover for B&M even as town he shouldn't have claimed that.

Mark dying over {RR, MC, Purple, Chara, Bronya} is odd af and points to the guilty theory and not a coincedence.


Gamma is obvious scum and his flip points to Venmar.
B&M and A50 are just tied scum atm.

What’s PT and do you know why Chara wanted to lynch me?

At the end of yesterday, Baku and Munna used an ability to create PT's with myself, Maid Cafe, and Venmar. They claim the action to create the PT was submitted approximately 45 minutes before the day ended, and 18 minutes before the last post was made in the thread(which may have been when the thread was locked, we're not sure/nobody has confirmed that to me), and the PT's began to be created 3 minutes before that last post was made, so 15 minutes after they submitted the actions.

It is suspicious that they created three PT's immediately before someone took an action to cast a spell(which cost three mana) that forced a mislynch by piling extra votes on someone.

Given the timing of their ability and the spell, there are only really three options for what happened at the end of the day.

1) B&M are simply incredibly unlucky, and submitted their action just minutes before scum happened to utilize an ability to end the day.
2) B&M are scum, and were creating those PT's in advance of the end of the day because they knew it was coming. They either gained three mana from those PT's and used it to cast the spell, or they had some other use for the mana, or they just wanted to make the PT's because they thought it would be useful to have them in place.
3) One of the people who they hooded are scum, and thus knew about the PT being created, and triggered the end of the day once they realized they could use that ability to potentially frame B&M.

A distant 4th option is that whoever cast the artifact had set it to be cast at a specific time, and the trigger just happened to be tripped after they cast their spell. Basically the same as 1, but not quite as unlucky since there's a wider window where actions could have been submitted.


To complicate all that, after MC starting talking about B&M being certainly scum because of those timings, A50 showed up and claimed responsibility for casting the suspicious artifact. So, now we're in a situation where if B&M is scum due to the hood creation timing, A50 is scum who is covering for them.

Regarding why Chara wanted to lynch you: They can submit their puzzles at any time, and their ability to IC triggers if every living player has completed a puzzle and gained a hood with them as a result. If you can't complete the puzzle, and thus the IC can't be submitted, and your slot is suspicious anyways, lynching you would allow him to submit the puzzle to someone else. At least, that's my understanding. They should probably confirm with Varsoon that if the person who has a puzzle dies....they can submit a new one to someone else.

So, the second point isn't the REASON to take that line, the first point is...it is, however, an ancillary benefit that could come about if the primary benefit, getting A50 townread, fails. I agree that it was likely something they could have already gained, but it's easy(for me, at least) to imagine that A50 expected B&M to be lynched, so the end result of the gambit would be a town read on A50 in spite of the scummy action he'd claimed.

The rest of that post should make the answer to your question clear. I can't imagine any benefit to scum that would outweigh the loss of their slot, therefore they're not scum. That means the only options are for them to be town, and actually IC, or 3p, who will leave the game when they complete their goal.

Too suspicious perhaps? Clearly displayed agreement that these puzzles should be completed by anyone before the day ends should make it clear to scum that they can't really do anything about it without outing themselves?

The other alternative is scum Chara, but I can't think of any benefit this could give a scum team that's worth outing one of their members(particularly one that's widely townread).

OIC. I think a combo of reason, logic and gutreads. I try to form townblocks over scumhunting; since I tend to be better at that - at least early in the game. As the game progresses my scum gutreads get stronger as do the facts surrounding them.

Not sure, if I explained it well. I could link you to some games on MU, I guess.

I basically focus on anything that doesn’t add up, fakeness, contradictions in players’ posting.

Well, the people who I’m getting good vibes from; seem to be interested in advancing the game forward. I liked that Gamma seemed to understand my situation and that both he and Dunstral were trying to be helpful.

Icon seems to not want to work with town and PH seems somewhat defensive?

@Skybird: we received a riddle, but it was a REAL riddle, unlike this one.

I'd also recommend anyone trying not worry about duplicating someone else's response. Read all the suggestions for inspiration, but don't discard something because you *think* it was already guessed.

Now, about the idea that Varsoon didn't expect this to be completed: I'd argue that him giving it to Nancy in spite of her not completing it is evidence that's not the cass, though that could have simply been him recognizing how unhappy the situation was making her?

I’m getting kind of frustrated about this ongoing mis-information.

I DID COMPLETE The PUZZLE.

Varsoon didn’t give me credit; I didn’t deserve. What happened is after I completed the puzzle and emailed to myself, the link to the puzzle reset. When I told Varsoon what happened, he believed me - that I was telling me the truth

that I had in fact, completed the puzzle

. Varsoon would have never given me the credit, otherwise.

I spent so much time on that thing; it kind of burns me to not get the credit I deserve for completing it.

also i don't have my IC. incredible. i'd thought Iconeum solved it but i was told i didn't get a best friends PT with every living player. even if that meant Snarky (who was treestumped), the PT with Iconeum should have gone through and it did not.

i had a win condition attached to that IC going off. it was extra. i failed it apparently, so no win for me. sorry for wasting time.

Me and Chara were totally on the same page about the choices. I too, did not care for #1, liked #3, but thought 2 was definitely the best choice and since we were in fact targetted by the beam votes; we had clearly made the right choice.

Yes, I would really like to know that too. Why did they target the AEUG in particular? I would really prefer that this question be answered BEFORE the EOD.

The Titan faction had three people, so they could choose a strategem with 2 votes. That's how it worked for us in Earth Federation. I too would like to know who voted for what and why.

@Creature, can you explain what went in to your choosing? I don't see why you would hold this information back.

I'd been bouncing this theme-swapping concept around for awhile, and was thinking it would be really cool to build a setup (or collab with 2 other mods) where 3 different setups are rotated constantly. Players would vote on which one they wanted to change to next, with the rule that no setup could happen twice in a row. Each setup would have dynamically changing roles and features, similar to how these first 3 setups worked.

Whenever you do that setup, please pre-in me. I might also pre-in with a hydra.

I’m fine with it. Whenever you make a new game, please pre-in me. I won’t know until closer to the time however, If I will play solo or in a hydra.

I do know, that this game is still my favourite game on this site and I really wish I hadn’t been physically ill and clueless until half-way through D2.

Anyway thanks to Chara, I’ve actually gotten better at puzzles - so there’s that. I still don’t know how/why it disappeared though. \_0_/

So if t hey do it, another elemental should come into play, under someone else's control. If Micc/Nancy is town, then they'll put it under the control of PH, and SS can lie detect them about doing so. It would require that just the right subset of people be scum for us to have to resort to waiting for one of their flips to know whether or not they targeted the individual they were supposed to.

Lolme, I did correctly tr you. I got this mixed up with the scum PT. Sorry.

Still, I got replaced in close to the EOD 1 and was sick and lost in the game, so I was useless to town N1. :/
