I am tentatively /in, though I would really like it if an attempt was made by all players involved to not make alliances pre-game start. That was a rule for II that was pretty much not respected at all by half of the players.

I would also consider helping as crew if things fill up too quickly. I think it would be cool to get my hands dirty with challenge design

Depends on how you define that. There were several opening testimonials that mentioned that there were people looking to work with other people, and then some of the most head-scratching tribal votes lined up pretty well with some of the things said. All I'm saying is that for someone who hadn't been on the site for a while and hasn't recently been involved in the on-site survivor games, it was frustrating being at that disadvantage. Its not really worth talking about here, I'm just hoping that everyone is conscious of that going in because it seemed like it had an impact on #2.

, as my wife will murder me if we do it in July. Ideally we would like to do this August 9-13, but if a different weekend works better for most people then we can find another AirBnb.

Isn't this a much shorter timeframe than the July dates?

I mean, worst case you can throw in some double tribal councils to speed things up. It wouldn't be the worst thing to shake up the expected 'challenge -> tribal -> challenge -> tribal' timeline.

I meant more like both tribes have a TC more than 1 tribe has 2, to be fair. Just to handle if the player count is higher than originally anticipated.
