They can be run here or in the Micro Queue, just as micro opens can be run in the Micro or Open Queues. It depends on the mod mostly.
Pretty sure it comes down to Micros being relatively new and the older rulesets still allowing them in these queues despite there being a queue for them.
I don't think making it a Micro Themed Queue would be a good solution though because it would be slower and that's just not a good thing, especially right now! So here we are.
Ari has appeared way too competent for me to even pretend to know what they're thinking

Well I ran a Micro Normal recently and people forgot how the Normal guidelines applied to Micros (multiball spec when the same policy banning it in minis would ban it in micros) and I think it not being super-clear it was a Normal caused that
