I don’t think so. It’s not really the players, although Thor is making me not want to play. I caught scum!TPKAP because of her “witchhunt” comment. I make a post giving useful info about the lighting rod, try to figure out who HoB is by unfortunately misconstruing TPKAF role PM and get wagoned for it. Like, I should just lurk and coast and do nothing. :/

So, that’s the kind of thing that makes me not want to GAF about this game. If I wasn’t in a hydra, I’d probably replace out but I made a commitment to Tora and I honour my commitments.

Also, lynching a vengeclaim, especially one that might solve mala is, yknow, optimal.

If ari venges in town, and is town, no town can die tonight. All protective should holster, and vigs become disloyal. Which means that they can pseudoconfirm town. Massclaim tomorrow, lynch rr or ct if they claim vt, vengekill me if you want to confirm gamma town. If we have two town flips, scum will aim to cross kill or shoot 3p.

I’d prefer one of the contention slots that hasn’t claimed, like ethos or nd. I’m a legitimate option, because my death does confirm gamma and docs the entire crew tonight.

We have seven claims and at least two not vt claims. We have two protective claims. Odds are a massclaim gives us a good chance at narrowing down the scum teams and it doesn’t really change much about where scum are shooting.

Why are you convinced there’s more than one scumteam? We’ve only had town and 3p claims do far and 1 scumflip.

Yes, i think you should weigh your options carefully. I agree, you shouldn’t necessarily decide to protect me over Chick. In a game where understanding flavour is so crucial to this game, you need seriously consider how important a role like that is to the game.

3- There are multiple killing mechanics in this game. To mitigate swing; this public mechanic will apply: A maximum of TWO players of the same faction can die in the same cycle (D1/N1, D2/N2, etc). In the case where more than 2 players are set to die in the same cycle the one(s) that go though are determined through a pre-set process that shall be revealed post-game.

So, since Ari is most likely flipping town, the alignment of any NKs will be made clear by his vengekill’s flip. If he vk’s town, then no one needs protecting, if his vk flips scum, then only one townie can be killed at most. So unlikely I will die tonight, in that case.

So, probably Elsa and Chick should take priority over me tonight.

I do feel bad for Malakitty now that everything is revealed and I am reviewing with an unbiased look. With the Seraph Knight, and the restriction that Malcolm couldn't die at night, I'd argue that Malakitty had the hardest wincon in the game. I think at the very least, they should have been informed of who Malcolm Reynolds was.

Fun game, good playerlist, probably too townsided. I hear A50's arguments for 'different plays' but I don't think I fully buy them.
At the very least both Mala's and my role needed easier wincons.

And mine! We had the exact same role pm, except you were a Reaver and I was the Operative. Otherwise, they are identical - except yours mentions nothing about Simon or River. We were BOTH SKs in this game, with the exact same abilities and wincon.

I beg to differ. One of Thor's abilities is look Town enough for the general public to be convinced he's Town. You have a very different play style as Scum than your Town play.

Not necessarily. I played similarly in Undertale, because I was pretty much clueless for much of that game.

However, I’m very curious as to what you think my scum play is vs. my town play.

That’s probably why Chara tr me. Tbf, Tora had quite a bit of scum equity that I obviously could never overcome but yeah, I derp as either alignment - like I did with the traitor role pm - that some people wrongly misconstrued as a scum slip, when it obviously wasn’t and I never ever fake my emotions.

However, on MU, I have frequently been wrongly sr and even mislynched. In Necromancer, I almost got maj’d in the span of 2 hours for freaking out over RVS votes, only to become nearly everyone’s #1 townie by the EOD.

I play the scummiest whenever I roll town PR for some reason. \_0_/

At any rate, I wasn’t officially scum here, only technically. IOW, I was SK not Mafia - which unless you have massive nightkill protection is super hard to play because unlike Mafia, I am not the “informed minority” - which has its advantages and disadvantages.

Being IM, means your individual survival isn’t necessary to win and usually parity with town is all that’s needed. Needing to be the only one alive and convincing everyone that I am the most obvtown player left in the game, is damned hard. On the upside, it’s a lot easier to have genuine reads because as SK, you aren’t IM.

Also-also if you want more kills to absolutely go through, ensure that scum gets a Strongman kill or just run a public mechanic where 1 kill will ALWAYS succeed and that way town protectives are just around to try to keep it down to one kill. Really depends on how you want to approach the notion of OVERKILL and implement that. Obviously, here, we overlooked how much town would be able to keep its protective roles alive while also clearing enough others as town. I think, as rule of thumb, if you don't do something like a guaranteed strongman, there should be less protective roles than kills in the game and could even tie this to having protective roles that stop being capable of protecting once potential killers are eliminated.
