I mean, Welcome to the Black Parade is good but it's like, the one everyone already knows & Disenchanted is the better song from that album imo

That whole album is great! Probably not the song I'd have entered either though. Disenchanted is the better song, I agree. Mama is creepy fun, Teenagers was legit my ringtone for a few years, etc. So many great choices!

Prime example that all Kpop is not the same!
Catchy and smooth. I really liked the dance break too.


Hungary: Nataša Bekvalac - Nikotin
Easy to listen to and a nice feel.
Probably will place averagely, but I do like it.


Belarus: Gordon Lightfoot - The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald
Love this piece! We did a line by line analysis of it in grade 8 and it's stuck with me since.
It really tells quite the story which is what I go for a lot in songs.
And Lightfoot has such a knack for keeping it dreamy yet interesting. And the way he uses the supporting instruments is fantastic!
You can almost hear the waves hitting the hull at the beginning, and it picks up in intensity as he talks about the storm does.
Legit great instrumentation and execution.

Instrument is theramin/ottamotone like and that's a very interesting sound.
I like it, picked fun pieces to do. Usually these are more medleys which is better as this kinda got repetitive after a bit.
Clever use of the match though!

It's part of the reason I was never big on Hendrix.

What a nice change of pace!
The only offputting thing is the drums seem to be slightly out of sync or something and it throws off the feel of the song, and a couple parts of the song feel rushed somehow.
Overall aight tho. The end part was fun with the trumpets and whatnot!


Portugal: Father John Misty - Mr. Tillman
Good sound, and what a story to start with XD
Is...is this guy a drug lord in a hotel or something?
Oh wait, is he crazy? Maybe he's just crazy/sad/on said drugs


Bhutan: Haruomi Hosono - Sports Men
I could put this on in the background easily, and I think that's because the driving rhythm is so strong and is higher than the vocals.
It just kinda flows around without needing attention.


Sudan: Animals as Leaders - The Woven Web
I mean, I can hear the webs being woven with the guitars playing around and interweaving with each other.
It's well done, even if not my thing. If I vote it it will be on music theory basis though, not because of pure enjoyment.
Like, the polyrhythmic parts are well done and that's really hard to pull off!
