Unlike random voting, though, random bandwagons can be analysed to produce evidence for later use based on how, why and when people jump and and off bandwagons.

I should point out that scumbag has yet to post in the thread, and I kinda think that the random and joke voting phase shouldn't really end until everyone has contributed in some way. But, if you want seriousness, Captain Killjoy, fine.

Scumbag has only posted once on the forums, and that was to sign up for this game. Perhaps the mod could check he's still interested in playing?

Hammering this soon is bad form. Long days are good for the town in that they encourage maximum information collection. Voodo is a good vote, and definitely as good a scum candidate as there can be at this stage but seriously... you want to lynch him now? That's a bad move.

Hammering in and of itself is a null tell. The crcumstances are not. In this instance, Mellowed seemed to be actively trying to get himself hammered for some reason. The fact that Greasy did eventually hammer him could be interpreted as Greasy killing off his scum buddy in order that to create distance. the fact that he hammered scum is in no way a certain town tell. Especially since he could also be a wolf hammering an enemy.

But seriously... does Mellowed's behaviour at the end not come pretty much as close to claiming a scum role without outright saying "I am scum" as you can get? I mean, if I'd had the opportunity,. I probably would have voted for him at that point too.

Well... if he was almost certainly going to be lynched no matter what you did, which you could argue was the case with Mellowed, then distancing from him becomes important, thus making the hammer a possible play. Makes sense to me. It's still just a theory, though.

Well it's not like I told you with only a few posts to go that I would Hammer. I posted in #105 that I would hammer. At the time voodo had 5 votes. I didn't cast the Hammer till #191.

As I said... just a theory. The point I was making that your hammer was a null tell.

. Reading over her posts a few things stick out. She actively states that she just followed a bandwagon because of someone else's reasoning on day one ("crap...we all just followed Frex's hunch on that one"), which was essentially an agreement with a dubious meta-read about someone being "too quiet" and nothing much else, and started to suspect him right after Freckles indicated that she thought scumbag and Sminty were a scum pair.

She then goes all hypocritical on us by voting for Stranger based upon him voting for someone rigth after someone else made a case, just liek she did on day one. She's defended Freckles as a "good player", despite the fact that someone's ability or lack thereof is a complete null tell as to whether they are scum or not.

She's also ignoring the fact that at one point when Coug made a case against Greasy, she made a comment about being torn between Greasy and Coug, as if she thought that there was no way they would be scum together (or to the cynic, which bandwagon she's be best off following) and has yet to even consider addressing how or why she came to change her mind and think they are working together.

Sminty is inconsistent and prone to bandwagon following. Sminty is a good vote.
