By comparison you took longer to switch votes in mini normal 2042 as town, and even when you did switch, you almost immediately unvoted.

For the record, Duran is a Xel'naga, a species separate from the 3 main factions in the game. They're more like god-tier creatures who push the other 3 around like chess pieces. So I'd be inclined to think Varsoon is 3p (probably non town killing 3p?) and that there's an evil Duran in the game. Duran is a Xel'naga species character who has disguised as various characters throughout the franchise of arguable virtue to push the narrative along.

This flavor shit is now completely bananas and I am shaking my fist at Krazy's popcorn bucket

Activated triple voting IC + Full roleblocker + Full cop (including 3p sorting) + odd alien + even doc + even vig + modifier cop (can perhaps correctly get town clears or prevent fakeclaims--two of the scum have now lied about their modifiers) + spy (prevents too much wifom about who the scum nk is) + pgo + (on any given night, there are 3 non-bp evil players with visiting actions and 3-4 good with visiting actions, making pgo likely even split between evil and good, and since town protectives like alien would also block they would not use it if they thought relly was investigative) -- vt

vs. 1 shot bp gf -- honestly I think this is the role that on a redesign I would have cut entirely and replaced with a vt
scum roleblocker (the "prioritized" status was meant to be purely negative utility since what it means is it would prevent xtoxm from alienizing him and thus protecting him in the event they were trading)
scum rolecop (strong and good but actually got almost no results this whole game)
--roleblocker and rolecop were not multitasking, so if performer had been lynched then they would have had to sacrifice one of their other utility options, creating the risk of a downward spiral for scum

on any given night... there's a very real chance of there being no kill due to the prevalence of roleblockers

scum roleblocker can hit arson, scum roleblocker can hit witch
witch can direct scum onto scum (miti n1 nearly killed keyser, and n3 nearly killed [deepscum])

so *on paper* I don't think this is deeply scumsided.

in practice I absolutely understand it felt scumsided and I think that's because the fakeclaims worked a lot more effectively than I thought they should, and I also think the arson did not really as explicitly side with the town as they needed to. I think arson put themselves in a lost position at this point. (their only douse is on nancy)

First, d3 there was town on Koki's wagon, and the arson was supposed to townside at that point
Usually if there are only green flips by d3, and town is lynched again d3... that would be a loss (this is the basic principle taught in newbie queue; large themes have more players but that doesn't mean the ratio of players is fundamentally different)

and *town still could have won* after d3 if a) miti had redirected scum to scum or if b) nancy had blocked the the worst or performer or c) if scum had instead shot shoshin

like scum basically committed to open wolfing d3 counting on everything going right for them in terms of night actions

so, again, I'm not saying the setup didn't feel scumsided and that it wasn't at least somewhat scumsided, but given the arson *should side with the town if town is losing badly* I don't think it makes sense to say the setup is heavily scumsided

But as I have said, I probably would redesign to add a bit more buffer.

Is not only a conceivable d3 win that requires no witching, it is close to what happened... Performer nearly lynched d1, keyser checked by nauci, the worst guiltied by varsoon/nancy (the actual scenario here was nearly worse given keyser was mitis second choice for relly)

At that point koki reveals d3 and through poe there are very few people without confirmed protown roles. Maybe throw in a mislynch on nm or skitter but I don't think you appreciate what it means to have an unblockable tracker of zerg kill targets that turns roleblockers into soft guilties in the event there is a single chunk taken out of zerg.

Like the question isn't "why did scum lynch town d3" the question is does town plausibly win this game if koki revealed and lynched keyser or performer on d3 and the answer there is yes. Or at the very least we might have seen sho's fireworks lol

This is tough. I could activate or douse.

If I activate, Key/Nancy die. If the scum is Varsoon/TW, I lose. In almost every other scenario, I probably win. There's a slight chance I get lynched if the scum is Key/Nancy, but even then, worst-case scenario is town winning and mafia/Mitillos losing, so at least I get the satisfaction of seeing Mitillos lose after the stunt he pulled. This would make me happy even if I lost.

If I douse, I remove the possibility of losing agianst Varsoon/TW, but I also open up the possibility of losing if Nancy is scum who kills TW today and then continuously roleblocks me so that I can't ever activate. But losing to Nancy wouldn't give me any satisfaction at all. It would just suck.

So basically, I'm weighing against the unlikely possibility of Varsoon/TW vs the more likely scenario of Key/Varsoon as scum, as well as against the plausible scenario where Nancy is scum. The game isn't won yet, but as a matter of probability, I'm going to say the scum probably isn't Varsoon/TW and activating wins the game for me more often than not.
