@skitter - you having a gut town read wasn’t my problem.

I think it was the over-explaination of the gut read (that I thought had undertones of sheeping Shoshin’s reason)

I.e over-justification

idk when i'm trying to explain a gut read i just say everything i'm thinking relevant to the topic at hand that might be prompting the gut vibes; it helps me articulate what i'm thinking

Trust me, skitter can talk much sometimes. The question is whether she's providing genuine content or just babbling. I say she's Town here.

Also, signing off for today. Nancy can feel free to vote anyone she likes, and I will trust you all won't be trying to be mean to her while I'm asleep (you can be mean to me when I wake up. You know I don't mind) ;)

In post 107, Mitillos wrote:@AlmostNancy: I'm not. I did what I said I was going to do in post 67, and had a look at a few of his recent games. If you mean why I was looking for the wagonjumping in particular, it was because Irrelephant himself used that as an explanation for his votes here, and because Shoshin (who has presumably played quite a bit with him) said it seemed like town Irrelephant behaviour.

Incidentally, I saw in post #1 a mention of "informed status" not being revealed on flip. I've never played in a game with informed players, so I was wondering if the information they have should be shared with the rest of the town. Thoughts?
I suppose it would depend on what that information consists of I guess, because you also wouldn’t want to help scum. So, as long as sharing that information is good for town, I’d say yes. Otherwise, maybe not such a good idea.

@Nancy: The thing is scum already has a lot of information, since scum know who they are. Information is the one thing town is lacking. My real worry is something that skitter touched on: we'd lose information from those who are nightkilled, and I like information. And now I've said "information" so many times it's weird.

Anyway, I think the information I have is good for the town to have in advance, and unlikely to be something that scum don't already know (since they have daytalk per post 0), so I will go ahead and share it:
There are no roles with the ninja modifier.

I'm liking skitter quite a bit, so far. Since "gut" is useless on its own as an explanatory tool, attempting to communicate her reads better is what good town does.

@Shoshin: I would still like an explanation for your Performer vote, please.

@Shoshin (my finger keeps trying to move to the 'e' key as I type your username): There are two problems with that: 1) As I said in earlier posts that just looks like regular RVS to me. Can you elaborate on why it's scummy? 2) How exactly can you compare Performer with everyone else for scumminess, when by the time of the most recent VC, three players hadn't even posted yet, and another three had 1-2 posts? If you mean he was more scummy than the other people who aren't lurking, that's fine, but it kind of misses a very large and sickly-looking elephant in the room.

the rhetoric game is strong fam

are you really hard scumreading Rel based off a minor rvs meta tell when there's such a small sample size? what do you think of the rest of his content?

I think the derp here is a little towny (sorry to be disrespectful)

I'm kinda being lazy this game (aka I just woke up from a loooong jetlag nap)

I know several people here are muuuuch better/different as town versus scum. Irrelephant is very good as scum. Who else is, since I don't quite recognize everyone?

Also, is there a VOTE: Not_Mafia in the house?

My trip was half great fun, half pollution induced bronchitis (I coughed up a rose shaped piece of mucus the size of a small strawberry AMA), half weight gain from ultra delicious Chinese food being shoved down my gullet by my whole family.

@Mitillos

I'm comparing Performer with players who have posted readable posts. Performer's post feels scummy because I don't get the sense that he's trying to sort alignments, his justification for voting you feels overly mechanical and careless, and his response to me feels really awkward in a way that feels scummy.

I disagree that it's "regular RVS" since we were already deep into sorting alignments (at least from my perspective, there was a lot of content to start analyzing). But even if you read it as RVS, that doesn't mean you can't use it to sort his alignment. So I'm not sure what that has to do with anything? Weren't you reading pretty deep into an RVS post yourself?

i hope on balance your trip was nice tho!

pollution induced bronchitis does not sound fun :(

i actually live near some of the california wildfires from a couple of weeks back. it was awful trying to breathe outside here for a few days - i felt the ash stuck in my throat :(

and then i went to sf for a day and it was even worse there, i couldn't stay outside for longer than like five minutes without coughing :(

i don't really have much of an opinion on performer either way

Yeah I live in the immediate bay area so I'd been in 200+ aqi (348 the day I left!) before heading off into Chinese pollution lol

Idk how people live in Mumbai where it has gotten up to 1000. 250 feels like simultaneously smoking 3 cigarettes.

I will check on this performer hunch
