A rather controversial twist is the Death Miller, whose alignment is shown as "Mafia" by the Moderator upon death. This has been argued and discussed in Ethics Threads as a source of distrust in the Moderator, which most people feel should not be tolerated. Thus, the Death Miller is an particularly scarcely-used role even in bastard mod games. - Wiki

Hmm how ethical is the mod?

Ok let me put it this way.

I was pinged by Brie's entrance. I continued to observe people to see if anyone else felt the same and it looks like Porkens did.

What makes it towny coming from porkens is the simple naked vote - getting straight down to business and not trying to look overly towny.

Brie's reaction escalated quickly from "it could be a personality thing" to "maybe they're both scum." Under little pressure and with missing logic.

nah I didn't think this was RVS at the time because I did something and Varsoon voted me for it - that's not random.

It's arguably low-info voting stage, which is how I like to deal with RVS which is why I said we are "emerging" from truly random into "low info" where the cases are generally poop but the game gets going.

That being said, we have to start somewhere, so we have the quote above and the quote below
In post 58, Varsoon wrote:'cus it's a fallacy to assume the same ratios exist within a neighborhood.
If we're all town in there and I make the mistake of assuming one of us is scum, then I have a 100% chance of mislynching if I concentrate there, whereas the game thread ALWAYS has the assured setup ratio.
And I know if I mislynch in there I'll sunk cost it and keep lynching in there
and if they all flip town then I know I'm up shit creek for being the last one left.
Does that make sense?

we also have where Varsoon basically says "there is a hood"

It was ME that suggested there could be scum in the hood in my haste when I thought we had deadlines to which, Varsoon made post 49...

he says

"I'm liable to believe that at least one of the four people in my PT is scum"

what does "I'm liable to believe" even mean? kinda feels a bit like he's saying "it'll be you lot that leads me into lynching within the hood, not me pushing it" almost a bit "not my fault we mislynched" so you could _conclude_ he is shifting blame for inevitable mislynches - how we he know if it's a mislynch? if he is scum in the hood

so I don't like that turn of phrase.

So then he goes a bit further into the logical fallacy of it all - which is true but, given the vibe I'm getting from above it again comes over as "yeah sure hunt in the hood if you want, but I aint leading that shit because I wont get stitched up for that mislynch, so I suggest hunting outside the hood, which puts me at a lot less risk"

again this phrase:

"And I know if I mislynch in there I'll sunk cost it and keep lynching in there"

he is right - if we restrict the lynch pool and commit to lynching in the hood, we _could_ end up doubling down

so yeah I don't like this at all

I don't know why but Kokichi's "I forgot to vote him" is pinging me as uncharacteristic. Not sure I like his reaction - accusing me of WK'ing is pretty funny. Yeah the mention and I find some posts awkward so not town. It's still early game though so it's more a note for later. My main concern is not allowing scum above the line - Sheep is probably my biggest concern but I'm going to sheep Nancy's read until I see reason to believe otherwise.

Leo is now 23 posts deep - he has had a chance to mess around in RVS and start doing something... let's give the 1 poster/nothing ISOs a chance to shine or hang themselves a bit more... this is a no deadline game after all, I suppose we have to excuse the less hasty for a bit
We can push leo whenever we want though. It's no rush.

p-edit: Suppose so. Best argument I've seen.

VOTE: Leo
Oh beat me to it.

Unless that's what you're scumreading him for it just looks like you're choosing to vote someone with 1 nai post over a slot that hasn't scumhunted and you're soft wking it

....

i stepped away from this post for like 6 minutes and you completely 180
Looks like you 180'd on your sheep the Hebi plan.

I feel like scum gamma would enter the game less weirdly if that makes sense. The amount of real content is NAI tbh.

Yeah but I think there both town. They’re both reading town tonally to me.
It's a weird thought to have though. Their wagons consist of one player apart from them who are your townreads. Did you mean they are bad votes not bad wagons? Bad wagons implies the constituents are scummy to me.

I guess you're right... but then she votes sheep? Her actions and words seem to be doing two different things.

Like to stir the pot I'm going to say that I think spud is just floundering town and I'm being lazy because I can't be bothered trying to sort this big ass game, let alone try to get another feasible wagon through.

The folks circling the potential easy mislynch slot, like sheep and PB are the most suspicious.

I didn't say entertained I mean looking at the content of what posts you have made it seems more like you're trying to look town, with all the reiterations of pressure on Spud, rather than actually being town.

I do note the Jaylow post as bad though. Not sure that clears you in this unknown setup yet.
