    • To initiate a danceoff,
      every
      living player must be paired up with a dance partner (e.g. 12 alive, 6 pairs of dancers; 10 alive, 5 pairs of dancers). Duels do

    • For the duration these conditions are met, at any point during the day phase, a dance pair may challenge a different dance pair to a danceoff.
    • Both members of the dance pair must challenge the same dance pair.

    • If a danceoff is successfully declared (that is, all four consent), 24 hours are automatically added to the Day's deadline; all votes are reset; votes must be for "PAIR (Players)", "PAIR (Other Players)", or "No Lynch".

Stopped Clock Mafia:

Featuring:

9 players
A relaxed and casual atmosphere
A hideously Townsided setup
Plurality lynching at deadline
And a scumsided deadline mechanic to even the balance.

Instead of prods and time based deadlines, the Day phases will last a certain number of posts. This will both stifle town's ability to hunt for scum AND give scum a chance to go for a satisfying game ending rush of posts.

Coming to the Micro queue when I'm good and ready.

And hey, on the plus side you won't have to read 50 pages per day!

Greatest Idea Mafia

Coming soon to a Large Theme (?) queue near you!

Greatest Idea Mafia is a semi-open setup with UPick-esque role choice mechanic that allows players to choose their role and alignment given a set of options.
  • 146 different role cards from the list found here.
  • Two weeks per day phase/48 hours per night phase.
  • No hydras.
  • Balance explicitly not guaranteed.
I'd like to run this as a 14-21 player game in the Large Theme queue, but I'm not sure how much interest there'd be. I'll decide whether to stick with a Large or make it a Mini based on how many pre-in's I get. If you'd like a spot send me a PM today!

Entering the final stages of review...


So here's a quick rundown of what's coming:

Stellaris is a game of interstellar exploration, war, and intrigue. You are the leader of a civilisation which has just entered the galactic stage. You swiftly discover that the universe is much larger, and much more intimidating than you could have ever imagined. And you are not alone...

Stellaris Mafia will introduce a number of custom mechanics allowing players to forge their own destiny amongst the stars throughout the game. You will be able to customise things such as your assigned empire's species and society to an extent throughout the game as well as research exciting technologies to further develop your capabilities. All of this will grant you new abilities and powers which can be used as you deem fit to influence the game in a manner of your own making. I will not lock players into forced mechanical behaviours, instead I shall give you a framework to explore the Stellaris theme whilst retaining player freedom and creativity as well as balance to the extent possible.

I delight in taking certain themes and translating concepts that belong to them in a way they can fit into the game of Mafia. This often results in fairly crazy games, and Stellaris Mafia is no exception. Me and my reviewers have taken utmost care to make sure nothing ever feels downright unfair or unfun. That being said however, you should not join if you're expecting a standard game. This game
will
contain wacky new mechanics and abilities. If this is your cup of tea, great! See the spoiler below for a list of reason why not to join however as well as reasons for the contrary if unsure.
