I'm like Rogueban, I own alot of green as it is. And IIRC i did where green yesterday. If I feel like it I can easily support this tradition.

In truth I only really had one drink as I sang some irish songs and ate irish foods. I myself actually am catholic and I chose to recognize the holiday and wore green, while drinking was not really important. Sure you could consider one to be drinking but having one still doesn't make drinking important. I celebrated a little bit because I know other people did anyway and I figure that is the best way to not let it bother me. I don't think getting upset at others is a good thing for this time of year. My friends also celebrated a little and some (not all) of them are catholic too. BUT I am sorry if I upset you. [/hijacking]

Regardless we should not discuss religion values further. The point I wanted to get across was wearing green. And I hope at least some people here did.

I wore green and I would say that today was pretty awesome.

Because I will be playing lazer tag as part of my convention vacation tomorrow, it will be the first thursday in a long time I will not wear green. I will wear black instead in order to make myself more stealthy

I read this somewhere once. It was in some asian fung shue article I think, that every day of the week represents something.

Sunday - Sun - White or Yellow
Monday - Moon - Black or Purple
Tuesday - Fire - Red
Wednesday - water - Blue
Thursday - Wood - Green
Friday - Life - Orange
Saturday - Earth - Brown
(I might have Friday and Saturday swapped since I read that a long time ago)

If you wear the designated color on the specified day its suppose to be good luck. Do you follow Fung Shue and does that explain your love for green shirts on thursday?

I wore green last thursday. Cancer sucks. Radiation treatment and Chemo are not great either. My father was diagnosed with lymphnode cancer back in January. He has been cleared now and port removed, but lost a tonsil and has very little sense of taste left. Most foods he used to like, he now says taste bad or he can't taste them. I think he said he lost 40 pounds as a result of everything. I think he said he's 135pds and for a man over 6 foot to weigh that, it don't look right. Seeing what cancer did to him and others, I wouldn't wish cancer on my worst enemy. Keep kicking cancer's ass and best of luck, Glork!
