Okay, so Easty and Westy were together at the time of the kidnapping, and Northy and George were together. That frees all four of them from being the culprit, and we can take their words as truth. Additionally, Lacey could not have kidnapped herself, so that clears her as well. That narrows the suspect to Ransu or Southy. Ransu is the most likely suspect, because he could have lied about there being footprints outside. However, I fail to see how he could have murdered Vangel, considering his lack of dialogue during the murder scene.

So Southy could have thrown the knife at Vangel through the chained door, and lied about him being dead from behind. However, I don't see how she could have locked the door then.

I was going to point this out, but then I realized you must be right.

Lacey is the culprit.

She switched off the power at 7:00, and then when the power went out, stole the spear using the previously mentioned gun/padlock method, and hid it. When Lacey went upstairs, she destroyed the backup generator before Vangel got there, leading to her first lie.

Lacey: "It was like that when I got here. The power switch was set to off, so I just turned it on."

It was not, in fact, like that when she got there, as she had just destroyed it.

Her next lie was related to the murder.

Lacey: "Huh...? The door is locked...?"

The door must not have actually been locked, only the other key inserted. She stabbed Vangel, left the knife, stole the key, stuck the key in the door, left, and put the chain in from outside.

As for how the kindnapping played out, Lacey must have prepared a mannequin of herself from the storage room before taking her nap. She pretended to kidnap herself to make herself look innocent, threw the mannequin out the window, and pretended to go back to sleep.

If this isn't it I give up.

Lacey being the first to check on the generator is a dead giveaway for the four-hour trick with the generator still destroyed.

Okay, so same idea as my last post, with the exception as follows: Vangel had chain-locked himself in the room, Lacey opened the door slightly and either stabbed him with the spear or threw the knife at him. She must've already stolen the key, and she then reached inside and inserted it in the lock, without locking it.

I guess the explanation is that the culprit couldn't have gotten inside without waking Lacey. I don't know, I'm just happy we solved it.
