The one time I played with Wisdom in the past was a micro normal where, even though he townread me, he basically left me to rot and get lynched if it wasn't for Gamma changing the plurality rule in it. This reminds me so much of that encounter. He's most likely town, though a micro is different from a large of course.

I like creature posts but I disagree with the push he is doing on Frozen, even though I think frozen needs more criticism. Frozen reaction to it seems typical and not really useful for anything but general omgus. Creature maybe would like to get into it more on his thought processes but otherwise think he is probably.

Alch I generally have liked his posts but I haven't liked him just handwaving a townread on me which felt kind of buddying, but I don't think that's anything besides my own paranoia.

I don't think Kaito is scum here. The tone of his posts just don't feel out of place. I am not sure about it, cause I have never been amazing at reading Kaito but this doesn't feel like excalibur, excalibur I got a cool and controlled feeling to him almost the entire game and he was scum and I thought that was his town game, when he kind of just went in a lot of different directions that didn't make sense he was town (thinking the game with last dance game). Although i was scum in that dance game so I wasn't trying to really read him. I don't think this push on Maki by him is scummy and I don't think he would do it as scum as likely without reason and I can't figure out a reason. I think he would want to pocket maki if he was scum and nothing tells me he cares to pocket her.

I don't think Kaito cares about peoples opinions in this game where the excalibur he kind of played a middle ground the whole game but also kind of pushed the general consensus to a believable amount.

LA's play has also been NAI so far. i don't agree with Fire that Elsa's replies to the push have been towny. they've made me scumread him more. they're manipulative as Wisdom said and Elsa is grasping at anything.
considering that for a while Wisdom was the only one actually pushing Elsa, and that any scum would have gotten on that train and used him as a scapegoat, there's very few worlds here where this is TvT. and Wisdom is being towny.

it's the way he keeps bringing up how he townread the PR claims, and how mean Kaito outed them. and how he's compromising on the lynch due to necessity, and how it's all Wisdom's fault for turning me against him. the way he says these things is what is manipulative to me. it's all very LAMIST, and not in the buzz word way, but rather the actual way.
and LA wagon is a compromise no one besides Wisdom and i are fighting, so it's certainly a safer bet for Elsa than davesaz would be.

not to mention he's happy to agree with Maki's 'contradiction' about Wisdom voting with his scumreads, when Elsa is on the same wagon as Kaito and fine with it. he's just saying things and justifying them later.

Why Gamma was a Shitty Mod here and why he made poor judgement calls.

Okay first of. I am going to laydown some stuff for people to explain why I left the game. Why I think Gamma was a poor mod. Why I think this game should have been either called of or paused to deal with what I saw as Breaking the Integrity of the game. Now you may simply see what I am about to say as just shitty modding, but I think it was more overt and caused the game integrity to be broken and should have been cancelled.

This isn't a shit on any of the players on the game since this wasn't any players fault. Everyone who won deserved to win under the circumstances that existed. Those circumstances just shouldn't have existed and the game state was fucked too hard for me to consider worth continuing. I almost was going to continue just to embrace the challenge given to me but I decided against it since I didn't want to play under a shitty mod rules.

What happened?
Gamma refused to take my night action on Night 3. This caused Wisdom to remain alive. This caused Wisdom to IC one of the players. This caused my slots eventual lynch (although a lot of that was my own fault due to my reaction to it all with a fuckup claim; which btw the claim I gave was bs we didn't know about millers)

So you might ask. Well gamma had a reason to refuse your night action, right? Ohh he gave a reason. A idiotic one in my mind. I was late on submitting my action so gamma told me "Just because the mods are sleep doesn't mean you get a pass on submitting a late action".

So why is this a problem if I was late and according to the 'rules', my action shouldn't be counted. Well two things first. If you are going to make an argument that something is a rule and that is your whole argument. You fucking fail. A rule can be good/bad and there is always a reasoning behind the rule put in place to begin with so that we follow them with the intention to enforce what they were trying to go for. The rule on late action intention isn't to just punish people for being late on action submissions. Its to get people to submit actions early so they are counted so that the game can go at a certain pace. This is why some mods put in place a timer for action submissions and when the night officially ends to give them a buffer to process the night for very complicated games. The mods aren't trying to just punish someone because they failed to give an action in at a certain time. They are trying to keep the game flow going and not delay it unnecessarily. It has nothing to really do with punishing players.


If you think the rule is to punish players, please tell me so I can not sign up for your games. The games are for the players not the mods. And I really don't even think Gamma thought at all about this beyond the simple "well its a rule". What a moron thinks before they make decisions. Which is funny because even in his ruleset there is an explicit rule that says gamma can modify the rules as he sees fit. So he could have said "BTW since I was gone I am accepting all night actions that went past this point" Boom. Done. Easy.


So then you might say well gamma was processing the actions and since yours was late it was unreasonable for him to adjust because he already did the night. Nope! Gamma was 3 days late on finishing the night. He posted that we had 2 days for night. I was 8-10 hours late and normally my night action would be completely gone because the next day started. BUT! Since gamma never showed for another 3 days (which btw.

I pmed him to tell him to hurry the fuck up with the night since he was posting everywhere else on the site

). He didn't get to it till later. That is when he immediately rejected my night. Told me "I didn't announce there was an extension" then went and did a new day.


WTF


So. Gamma was late by THREE DAYS. He broke the fucking intention of the rule in the first place by not even attempting trying to keep a good pace going for the game. Then he punishes me for having posted a late action.

BTW. How long would he have taken to do the new day if I didn't PM him? I don't know but the dude fucked this game hard.

In summary. This was bad modding.

Good job to the town team.

He literally posted in the scum pt. "Btw not taking your action" like four hours (need to check my pm timing) after I pmed him to start the god damn game.

The list mods knew nothing about this and i reported it to them. They didn't respond or care.

Not sure the immaturity of my actions are really valid given that I don't want to play in games in which are badly modded. Is it immature to leave games because you aren't interested anymore?

But what if other people who had NAs and wanted to change them, didn’t do it because of the deadline? Couldn’t they complain that Gamma gave you special treatment?

They could change their action too.

I have never not taken a night action in a game i modded because someone was just late with giving it to me. Unless I already processed the night and I am making the next the day post.

Don't alot of mods just do "this is the deadline but I'd be ok accepting a late action if I haven't started the day and I haven't already processed them."?

Yeah but it's basically the mod's call whether to grant an extended window because night has not been broken. It's a matter of consistency and fairness to the different factions.

Would you accept a hammer on a scum player during the dayphase that otherwise would have defaulted to a no lynch?
Do you accept a night action from a town player that would have resulted on a guilty on a scum player if it is submitted late?

The answer to all of those questions should either all be yes or all be no. If you aren't granting town 'grace periods' during the dayphase, you should not be granting scum 'grace periods' during the night, and vice versa.

I understand that Fire is frustrated because the day did not break on time, but I respectfully disagree with his other accusations.

Night and Day are two different things. Players drive the day phase. Mod runs the night phase. I don't see how you think those two are equal.

I mean the deadlines are there for a reason but I see no reason we can't have a grace period. My rent is due today but we do have a 5 day grace period. The only slight issue I forsee is ppl are dumb that to many ppl might take advantage of the grace period.

It’s up to the mod, some make that clear right from the getgo and do it for everybody and others, refuse to accept any late NAs. The thing is, it has to be clearly stated in the rules and applicable to everyone.

I understand Fire’s argument but it not only has to apply to everyone, everyone would have needed to be informed that a grace period was extended. So Fire can argue that Gamma could have made such an announcement but otherwise, no. - not without doing that first.

Everything was extraordinarily late. And the excuse "I was busy" doesn't exist. Gamma posted all over the site when she could have done stuff for this game.
