Well let's say Mephisto has an ability that makes them bulletproof, but it's only from people near him in the playerlist.
N1, there's no deaths.
Mephisto then can figure, "Well maybe my BP stopped a kill coming from Varsoon or Shoshin."
That's basically how it works. Various roles in this game utilize place in the playerlist. Some role probably affect what's close to them, some probably affect what's further. Some might affect everyone above you, some might do everyone below.

Oh okay, it’s still sounds really confusing though but this helps a bit, thanks. :)

I don’t know what the point of being in a hydra is, if you’re going to post as a single player. Didn’t Shoshin say that the main reason she wanted to hydra, was a lack of time?

If she insists on coordinating every single post with the worst, then why not just play solo?

I don't understand why town would ever commit to play that knowingly hinders reads accuracy.
I've seen and been in plenty of hydras where we've used the hydra itself (signing, hydra dissonance, etc) as a means of posturing and being harder to read, but only ever as scum.

Yeah, it really makes no sense. Maybe I should just beetlejuice them? I bet tw is lurking.

Thing with Nancy is we just need to tread carefully because if you slip up around her as scum she notices and will tear your spine out and slap you to death with it.

P.edit. It is suspicious. Ari thought it might be some kind of RVS gag but I agree, it is kind of giving me slight scum vibes, especially considering both were scum in Starcraft 1.

@Nancy: Stay in hydra, yo.
Also, I do appreciate the hydras that are signing
It's already hard enough for me to keep up with a normal game with single-player slots.

Doesn't make sense to me either.

In post 58, Shoshin the worst wrote:We've spoken about it a fair bit and have made the decision not to focus on signing. We expect quite a bit of clutter because of all the hydras, so we're synchronising our reads as much as possible before posting & collaboratively writing the majority of our posts.

@stw could ya'll talk to me about why you think the reduction in clutter resulting from synchronizing is more beneficial to town than signing your posts?

I will say and I am 99% sure are from the worst.

I'm not sure, and it would be so much easier to read tone if I knew whether it was the worst or shoshin. As it is, I'm good with a vote here if they are intentionally working to hinder my read.

I could give a shit about anyone else's, I'm the hero here... Like Seifer in Final Fantasy 8.

@Proflavor: Could you sign your posts?
Also, why does getting lynched early there mean getting wagoned early any game is a good indicator that he's scum?

If both heads of a hydra craft their posts together, how'd they sign it as only one head?

"Getting wagoned is scum-indicative because they got page-3 lynched as scum"
^Poor-ass logic here.
I thought it was a joke at first, but FlavorPro being serious about it is suspect.

We're doing this because we think two players posting independently under the same slot harms the ability to scumhunt. We're avoiding any sort of schizophrenic posturing, hydra dissonance, disorganized/contradictory noise, which means you can treat us as if we aren't a hydra. This will make things easier for those who dislike or struggle with sorting hydras.

Stretch your minds a bit, break out the "hydra theory" box you're in, and maybe you'll realize that we're doing this for the town's benefit? We'd never limit ourselves like this as scum (before the game we discussed different ways we could abuse hydra mechanic if we were scum and this wasn't it).

-Shoshin & the worst (super redundant but I guess we'll keep signing for our slower-witted readers)

Whoever writes the post signs it.
It's that easy.
If ya'll have a discussion and then one of you logs in and writes out the response
That one of ya'll signs it.

Why's that difficult?
Why do you need to act like you're become one person when you're two?

Like for instance that post was written by Shoshin, from what I can tell.
So then I can apply my meta experience with Shoshin more readily when engaging with that post.
Guess what Shoshin kept telling me to 'strech my mind'?
Scum Shoshin did.

You never used the 'Stretch your mind' phrase when you were town in TAZ, even though there were definitely people who that phrase would apply to in relation to your positions.

Curious, that.

Shoshin used the 'Stretch your brain' phrasing immediately when suggesting there may be scum in Irrelephant's townblock, which was an undermining strategy they were trying to employ.

Shoshin's trying to undermine us again here.

Not gonna let it happen.

I can almost guarantee you that at some point you’re going to hold back from posting about something because your heads can’t agree and when someone asks the response is going to be a “we can’t agree” which is unreadable or your going to say what each head is thinking which nullifies the point of this unified voice thing you’re doing.

Plus for people who do meta-based reads it’s helpful to know which heads are making which posts.

Fun fact:
On my now deceased homesite (RIP ScrewAttack) there was a rule against signing posts and asking individual heads for reads. This is where my personal theory on hydrae being a single unit comes from. I see nothing wrong with what Shoshin The Worst is displaying here.

Followup Fun Fact:
Discussing this instead of the game is giving me bad vibes on Varsoon. I get that it matters but it's clogging the thread. We should drop it and let the mod rules about signing kick in.

Final Followup Fun Fact:
I Fucking love alliteration :)
