[SETUP] Unnamed Carbon 14 Variant

2 anti-town players
1 cop
1 seer
3 townies

each anti-town player is either a goon or a werewolf (with a 50% chance of each), but they are a single faction and win together regardless of whether they have the same role.

are there any obvious issues with this setup that make it better or worse for either faction that I'm missing? it's obviously swingier (it's possible to start day 2 with two guilties), but I'm pretty sure the expected number of guilties at the start of day 2 should be the same as the regular version.

When scum is lynched D1, this is not a variant

Otherwise,

When scum are the same flavor, town has a 2/5 chance of hitting scum

When they’re different flavor, town has a 2/5 chance of hitting scum, but 1/10 of that chance is hitting both scum

...I think

I don’t like this because of the possibility of two false innocents at once. Would be hard as fuck to come back from.

I prefer the naive cop and regular cop, it’s less punishing.

Just my feelings.

They have a shared nightkill and nighttalk even if they're 1 of each, correct?

I mean yeah...

...it's a variant...

... but why would you want to add more swing? I don't get the motivation for this one.

+1 to the "I don't see the benefit" crowd.

Carbon 14 itself is one that I'd like to analyze eventually, though.

I mentioned this in the originating thread, but I think town is strictly weaker here-- like molla said, one scumflip tells us nothing about the verity of previous innocent results. It might be an interesting concept for a different setup though.
did another ms user do something lovely? recognize their achievements here!

Today's modern mafia consumer demands dozens, nay, hundreds of roles that are vanilla cops.
