OK, we're part of a 4-man mason block with Cheeky Dancer, Gamma Emerald, and Karmeleon. We're all bulletproof savants who have night 0 guilties on Elsa Jay and Emperors New Groove. No need to evaluate the likelihood of this claim, just sheep for easy win

VOTE: Emperors New Groove

So, do you think we should declare whom we're voting or do you think we shouldn't??

Also, someone who will remain unmentioned didn't read the special mechanics section. (Hint: It's DVa, but don't tell her I said that).

In post 2, Boonskiies wrote:
()_+_) Game Specific Mechanics ()_+_)

This game has a few special mechanics that will help spice the game up.

Confessional Threads• We're on a competitive game show, aren't we? Every single player, or one per hydra, will have a unique individual Confessionals Thread. Any votes or night actions used in this game are to be activated from within this thread. Good thing I have a Duck of a Production Assistant that works for no pay to keep up with this, amirite? This means that there will be no voting in the main game thread, to further push the Reality Show with Confessionals feel. You may still use the vote tags.

Day Representatives• Because of the Confessionals Thread mechanic, there will be 4 players per day chosen to be the Day Representatives. At the beginning of each Round (Day), these players will be posted upon the opening Day post. These players can VOTE: End Day. If 3 out of the 4 vote to end the day, then the day will end. Players will have until Twilight ends to cast their votes in their Confessionals Thread. Plurality Lynch Rule will come into play, and there will be a final vote count placed in the thread to end the day. I won't be explaining how the Day Representatives are chosen, but throughout the game, it will become obvious. There will still be the natural deadline for the game, and Plurality Lynch Rule will still come into play.

BOONus Rounds• Along with the night phase, there will be the BOONus Rounds. When there are more than 18 players alive, 9 players will be chosen for this, more than 12, 6 players, and more than 6 players alive, 3 players. These BOONus Rounds will give potential Prizes to players, which you can then choose to keep for yourself, or anonymously give to other players. To make it fair, PRIORITY will be given to players who have not been involved in these rounds as the game goes on.

Commentary• During the game, there will be Commentating created by Boonskiies and The Worst. This will be extremely obvious when it happens, and is there to add an "In Game Random Event" feel. This is predetermined. This is chosen in a way to not compromise anyone, giving simple setup design hints, generally.

• As always, every BooneyToonz game will follow the BooneyToonz Guidelines, which there is a link to the Discussion page down below in the Guidelines.[/area]

@DVa, we have to vote in our confessionals ONLY, not here.

There is no RVS in this game.

UNVOTE:

Yet the decision to unvote was still made.

idk if you guys know this but if there's literally no consequence to votes then there is no reason to not use them

it's just a way to indicate thought processes in this case

the one big appeal being that there's no risk of an actual quickhammer from anyone other than the four dayenders

that same post explicitly says we can still use the same vote tags

but that does raise one question actually

@mod will the wagons of the plurality votes be revealed when resolved?

Alright then there's really no reason to not just do RVS as usual then. I know the mods are like, let's make it feel really different, but I don't think I've ever seen a game that *could simulate RVS* that was better off by talking about other garbage rather than just playing like it's more or less a normal game.

Our votes still matter since at the end of the day the votes are revealed. So if there's a sudden shift at the end we will know anyway

VOTE: Emperor's New Groove

I don't see why we'd do hurt tags over this when we can just do this -D

Aligned with Town

Nancy Drew in the detective book series didn't need any special powers to solve crimes - all she needed was the powers of her mind, thinking on her feet, and talking her way out of sticky situations. We believe you've got that toolkit without a role.

You will win when you have eliminated all threats to the Town.

Creature
Town Motivator

Aligned with Town

You barely post as mafia, so when you rand town, you have lots of WIM. With your town energy, you are able to motivate someone every night to have two uses of a single night action on the following night. If your target has multiple night actions, you will randomly motivate one of them. The player receiving your motivation will be informed that they have been motivated at the end of the night phase that you target them.

You will win when you have eliminated all threats to town.

You could have asked pretty much anyone in the setup the same question you asked me and some players would have paid close attention to the setup and their role PM and the setup. where as others would have missed it, and you would have wrongly scumread those who didn’t pay close attention to either and townread those who did.

I read it and forgot about it, like I didn’t really pay close attention to my role PM, until I just looked at it.

So, now I get the whole not town but not scum thing.

Has that actually ever happened in a game? I was in a game, where I had a weird PR role, of being a glorified townie with no NAs but immune from certain scum actions, like being roleblocked.

And another player who was a backup, claimed to be a “functional VT”, I townread her thinking our role PMs were similar but the actual Wincon part, was the same for both of us.

Now that I've read through the rules, SK is in the pool of roles so. ????

And if there’s an SK in the setup, they are just as likely to have read the sample role PM as not.

So, if town wins with all anti-town dead and 1 townie alive, then scum I assume, would win with the exact opposite wincon.

Spoiler:
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Tactical role-playing game for the Game Boy Advance
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones[a] is a tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems, and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance handheld video game console in 2004 for Japan and 2005 in the West. It is the eighth entry in the Fire Emblem series,[b] the second to be released outside Japan, and the third and final title to be developed for the Game Boy Advance after The Binding Blade and its prequel Fire Emblem.

Quick Facts: Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, Developer(s) …
Set in a separate continuity to any other Fire Emblem title, The Sacred Stones takes place on the continent of Magvel, which is divided into five ancient nations, each with a magical stone said to be linked to the imprisonment of an ancient demon. When the nation of Grado begins invading the other nations and destroying the stones, protagonists Eirika and Ephraim of the royal family of Renais set out to gain allies from the other nations and halt Grado's conquest. The gameplay is similar to previous Fire Emblem games, focusing on turn-based, tactical movement of units across a grid-based battlefield. Core features of the game include permanent death for characters defeated in battle and support conversations that grant advantages to certain units in battle.

The Sacred Stones began development alongside Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance as a side project, sharing much of its visual design and mechanics with Fire Emblem while incorporating elements from earlier entries such as Fire Emblem Gaiden. First announced in mid-2004, it was heavily promoted in Japan. When released, it sold over 230,000 units during 2004, with a further 90,000 being sold upon its North American debut. Reception was positive overall for its story and gameplay, although many critics cited it as being too similar to its predecessor. The Sacred Stones would be the last original handheld Fire Emblem title until Fire Emblem Awakening for the Nintendo 3DS in 2012.

How will this help me in this game?

townie
Karmeleon -- obviously, we're dancing
Gamma Emerald -- one of these times that I townread Gamma before page 20 we're both gonna be town, I swear
Ultimate Liars (Kokichi Oma/Hebichan) -- never sorted Hebi before but Koki can be town until further notice
Almost Chara (Almost50/Chara) -- can me and A50 both be town AND be sociable at the same time? Find out in this episode of boonskies game

townish maybe
RCEnigma -- feel like maybe he was trying to sort nancy but the mechanics test was pretty bad tbh, still townier than the nulls
Ramcius -- kinda like him poking elsa, but he hasn't developed that much, still townier than nulls so far
Nev and Max -- his "votes have consequences" post was bad but... bad in a townie way?

NAI so far
Mcqueen
Davesaz
Theta Alpine
Emperor flippyNips
Xtoxm

Scum side of null
The Last Knight -- feels nullish but considering he's been posting I guess I'll say scummy side of null
Nero Cain -- feel like Nero is low impact so far

"Always scum" (not actually always scum)
Elsa Jay
BrightEyedFish

Potential normalscum
Cheeky Dancer (CheekyTeeky/Performer) -- refusing the masonblock has me very concerned actually LOL

Potential lurkerscum
Thanos (Lamees/Auro) -- Lamees + Auro having nothing in this thread is concerning
Profii -- lack of presence so far is surprising
Alonzo -- wouldn't he have shitposted more by now as town?
Something_Smart -- does something_smart not like rolling scum?
Emperors New Groove (PenguinPower/Aristophanes) -- know Penguin is busy irl but until I see town penguin I tend to default to scumreading him and that's not changing this game

Ok here's my dope before page 20 solve. Nancy, Gamma, Karmy, Koki, A50, where are the places where I'm hilariously wrong this time?

@Dva, right now you have more of a handle on this game than I do. I was just going post that Gamma was one of my strongest townreads. So rn, we’re pretty much mindmelding I guess. I think I have RCE higher and yeah, I haven’t seen town!Nero yet in this game.

I feel like thats not how that works. Scum would be sure to avoid looking like scum at this point and would be acting as stereotypically town as possible. If there isn't a reason to scum read you it just means you are null and have yet to do anything real.

You're right, you haven't done a ton of AI stuff. But I don't need to push you because you are already providing content which, theoretically, will make you easier to read, or at least make it easier to evaluate other peoples' reads of your slot. When you are more obviously scum, I will get you lynched. Or my read will change. One or the other. But I don't think I have to push you rn for my read on you to develop.

That is definitely extreme for a hydra to be that divergent on a read. I know I am far more likely to see this kind of weirdness in scum teammates than from hydras.

I am really annoyed with those that are pushing to end the day early. We’re not even sure on our vote. At least I’m not and we really need to make sure we don’t mislynch.

I've had an extremely busy last few days, this game started at a terrible time for me. I'm catching up now.

I will say though, as I'm catching up, I'm having a hard time finding things that feel worthwhile to talk about. Maybe it's the lack of public votes but from the few pages I've looked at just now, it feels like people are just talking each other in circles.

I saw a lot of people were jumping on RCE and a few others. Definitely worth an ISO, but I didn't see anything that gave me hard scum vibes from him or anyone else atm.

I wanted to clear you up as town despite your awful accusation of Nero. If I'm giving out townreads, that's catching scum by PoE.

Mcqueen I answered his question before saying that in a smart ass way. Why? Well because getting emotional reactions is my way of reading people.

Second I didn't expect him to see it my way hence I said nice straw man - also at no point did I call RCE town, like you I considered him null but Nero's read on him looked opportunistic as I saw no scumminess in his reaction. That interaction between Nero/RCE read like RCE could have reacted to Nero's dayvig in any way and Nero would still scumread him for it.

Of course we have our own opinions, that's what the point of communicating is - to figure out what another is thinking and why - instead he turns it into a "I don't have to think the same as you" argument which is completely besides the point.

~ C

I'm sorry I missed that. It does put a little doubt in my Nero read, though... (unless I'm reading this wrong, too, he asks how it's scummy then calls RCE scummy later)

Overall still think he's town, but it's good to keep and possibly look back on

Anyone who’s ever played with scum!Nero before, would have no problem seeing, that this is his obvtown meta here.

In Heroes Wanted, Sakura Hana did an extensive metacheck on him, so it’s really obvious to me.

To be honest, I do feel excitement every time Elsa mentions me in a post regardless if it's an insult. There's something there. I feel like Elsa wants to hate me but just can't. Elsa has this conceal--don't feel mentality when it comes to me. He can't just turn away and slam the door though. Perhaps, he should test the limits and break through and win this game with me us town.

Jesus Christ, we get it, just let it go man. Let it go.

This is RCE scum reading DrewVa based on a quote from a different game. RCE based this off of a rule slip only scum would know.

I would have had to read the rules to know that.

And then claimed not to have read the rules to begin with. Could be playing coy, but it seems like a tonal slip to me.

In post 371, RCEnigma wrote:I'm not scumreading drewva. I'm semi-content with what I got out of it. I like Bef pushing there even if it was based on miscommunication. They are both just town here Imo.

Now, unless this is based on a discussion about the ruleslip in question, RCEnigma abandons the DrewVa non-town read with little clarification. Please expand on this if you like, but in your ISO I was unable to find good reason for this change in allegiance.

In post 380, RCEnigma wrote:No it's a combination of the omgus read, presenting scumreads on myself and bef as serious reads then backing off when Bef gained support (or at least townreads), and then reverting back to "none of that is serious I'm still RVSing".

It all wreaks of cautious scum and I'm calling back on it.

This is RCEnigma accusing me of what I identified above as a very similar series of actions. Either he is a hypocrite or is scum himself.

I have already explained why I changed views on BEF (me not liking the semantic approach but also finding it too specific to be fake). Would you mind going into detail as to why you read me as scum other than your own "omgus" argument against me?

In post 667, RCEnigma wrote:
In post 664, Nero Cain wrote:I had wanted to talk about something that I felt was semi-important but I forgot earlier so here we go.

I don't think Alonzo is necessarily scummy for wanting to end the day @ p30. Like, he seems genuine that he's just behind but the stopping the thread a little prematurely is nearsighted.

I think artificially extending the day beyond useful discussion is p anti-town but as long as it's fruitful it's not much of a big deal. I think the strength of this mechanic is that we can vote the scum without them knowing we are voting them...unless we say so. The only minor drawback is we can't really coordinate a lynch. I could do unofficial vote counts if we wanted to do them or we could just vote whomever in our threads and just see how that works.

I agree with this actually. I know I'm going to get scumread for saying we should use day 1 as a test day. I think in regards to how we want to handle votes/votecounts it should be a test day.

And then this statement basically agrees with all of my own points about who I have decided to vote for so far.

Now, don't go saying that me defending myself is inherently scummy here...

How is it a slip only scum would know if it was based on towns wincon?

Sure not reading the rules is a tonal slip, whatever that is.
Bef pushing got drewva to town tell when my approach couldn't. Why is that still an issue you for you 20+ pages later?

Based on the 1 post since the last time I gave the read, to which you only responded to one part of the read conveniently. Sure when I've got a bit of time.

The misrepping is still present.

How did BEF get us to ”towntell” exactly? All I recall saying is that I wanted him to stop talking to me, since my braincells were a terrible thing to waste.

I didn’t think so initially. I thought your push on Thanos for giving us an easy townread was fine but then you said you wanted Elsa “dead” and now are accusing someone, I read as obvtown and accusing him of “slipping”? which I don’t see at all, so yeah, that looks scummy to me.

But TLK lynch is preferred over you, so I guess I’ll have to go with that then. I suppose you could just be bad town because I’m obviously disagreeing with your pushes. \_0_/

I wasn’t necessarily sr Thanos, I just thought a critical push on that read on us was fine.

or if the reps vote to end day, same again, most votes goes

we dont have to form a majority i dont think so someone basically is going for sure

But isn’t it better to acheive a town consensus? Also, it the lynch doesn’t logically add up, we know someone lied about their vote.

I don’t recall Ram sr us, I do recall Alonzo doing that though.

Anyway, I just saw Boon’s post about you being a forum mafia newb, so that makes me less want to vote you but good catch.

Your scum equity didn’t increase just by being Ram’s counterwagon, so it makes no sense for that to affect his read on you. Voting you, maybe but it shouldn’t affect his read at all.

Thanks, feeling even better about my vote now.

What part don’t you like - the townread on us, or you dislike this post?

But it is mentioned in the setup, so the read should be more nuanced, like could they tell, if we made the “townslip” by play or is the townread solely based on just mechanics?

I don't like how he jumped to conclusion from purely speculations on what scum might had and what they might talked.

Here, Ramcius says he doesn't like when people jump to conclusions on what they "maybe said [sic]."

Why do one thing per post when I can do many?

Here is my problem - I scumread you based on an ISO skim, I would say it's a tonal thing but even that's a bit of a reach for a description. Since I'm not familiar with you, wouldn't it make sense to ask others what they think? If I ask you, you're bound to tell me this is your towngame regardless of alignment. BUT I guess we could exchange reads instead.

Who are your top two scumreads/townreads?

~ C

I'm not bound to anything, especially, when this isn't my towngame.

As for reads, i really dislike what Elsa is doing, i can't think for second one that i feel strong to be scum, Last Knight maybe? I remember having strange feeling about him
Townreads - RCE, i liked his answer about antitown thing and BEF, don't think scum would be so opportunistic

At this point, Ramcius starts off by saying that Cheeky Dancer may as well ask him directly to clarify his own playstyle. This doesn't make much sense to me since one should always just claim town, which Ramcius eventually contradicts by the end of this exchange, but still only in what seems to me to be an attempt to play devil's advocate to Cheeky.

In post 793, Ramcius wrote:
In post 770, RCEnigma wrote:Tlk hasn't been back and is my only strong scumread. The bunch of slots dicking around and then scumreading the other slots dicking around for dicking around is annoying but nai for now.

Elsa's get Bef lynched schtick is already old. I encourage slots to continue scumreading me without engaging me or asking my views, specifically my reasoning for townreading BEF.

The exceptions are Nero who has engaged me in a way that I find kind of townie, and cheeky who hasn't expressed a scumread on me, though I feel she is trending that way. She's at least trying to get her scumreads views of the game.

Other townie slots:

I like McQueen, Alonzo, warming up to Almost Chara, Nev is probably spewed town like I said before, and Bef is town.

Liked Ramcius for town early but that dropped some pages agk for reasons I can't recall at the moment but I'll iso to figure it out later.

what is your read on Elsa?

Now Ramcius contradicts himself by asking someone else to read Elsa, rather than ask Elsa himself, which is what he just told to do (shown above).

In post 802, Ramcius wrote:

So Elsa hindering our progress with her schticks isn't an issue to you, dully noted

Now, after asking someone to give a read on Elsa, Ramcius gets aggressive when they don't have the same opinion and leaves an ominous threat in retaliation.

I can anticipate an answer but would like to hear what you think.

Well, I’ve heard townies say the former, more than the latter and the converse, for scum. There are obviously always exceptions but I think it holds in general.

Pile me under exception, I know better than even remotely try PL as a scum

And finally, Ramcius labels himself as an exception to a rule while he contracts himself on this very point in the quotes I've listed above. Meanwhile, he is blatantly PL me based on DrewVa's post (I went into further detail about this in a past post if anyone wants to iso me and find it).

I've been pretty interested in Ramcius lately and the hypocrisy that he displays with aplomb. So I think I'll change my vote to him.

I agree with you wrt all of the contradictions and his read on you, reads more opportunistically self-pres than a “policy lynch” but yeah his aggressive pushes - are not on everyone. He hasn’t been aggressive with our slot for example, even in the slightest. Ram is only agressive with slots. he thinks he can push and RCE is obviously one of them. His vote on obvtown Karmelon is really bad and I don’t understand his scumread on Gamma.

Like his shading of RCE in that quote, clearly makes no sense. It wouldn’t at all shock me if Ram were to flip scum here.

That’s one of the main things that pinged me the most, his completely non-sensical push on onvtown Karmeleon for reasons that made absolutely no sense. I honestly would be extremely surprised, if Ram flips green here. Saying, what he did to Karmelon - that it’s townier to “lynch” scum, than to “find” them, reads like a convenient excuse to to confibias and rationalize pushing probable mislynches.

In post 801, RCEnigma wrote:I don't have a read on Elsa. I don't know their style and I have only been in one game where they replaced into an IC role. Though the game was pretty much over.

Well, I don't buy that anyone made a slip of that specific nature ("this isn't my towngame") as scum; if you can back that up it'll lend some amount of credibility but as far as my judgment of the legitimacy of the slip itself goes, it doesn't look like one. Also, this is a very weak push.
