ND probably also town, she looks pissed off in town ways.

Vaguely think one of the other two neighbors is scum from the descriptions of neighborhood. Kinda seems like they were pushing you and ND at each other to keep you from jiving.

Xtox replace also feels weird and off. Over the top/more selfconscious/sensitive than I expect from a pre-2012 player.

I'm perfectly aware I'm probably wrong on a few townreads, but that's where I is today after I finished reading the thread last night.

A few slots I feel merit the additional discussion:

SoonLeaf: Anyone scumreading this slot, explain to me the scum motivation behind fakeclaiming cop early game in presumed multiball. Alternatively, link me to a case that isn't "Varsoon wasn't efforting"/"Flavor Leaf has a big scum range."

PB: AFAICT this is as close as there is to a universal townread slot and I don't know why. All of his pushes are low effort {Varsoon, Leo, Jaylow}. I don't see anything ubertown in his ISO, he's skirting around the edges of the NancyLeaf fight, and there are a few posts that are just really blegh. is pretty garbo considering he hasn't really done any work to push/sort Theta since the danny flip. is waffly about the Leo lynch. comes across as looking for a reason to lynch potato and not trying to read potato.

Xtoxm: Why you posting reads in the Neighborhood and not the real thread? Apparently your neighborhood content is what makes PB townread you, so why isn't it relevant for mass consumption? Also, what is your neighborhood content?

my original reaction was that it was likely villager motivated to out it with the reasons he used, but sort of decided it wouldnt really be hard to fake at all as wolf

it still slightly? holds me back but im comfortable voting him rn

In post 243, sheepsaysmeep wrote:looking at postcounts this game, gamma and varsson lead substantially yet (acknowledging that i rushed my read and prolly glossed over quite a bit) i remember no real solving content from either of them which is a pretty good simplification of my varsoon w read

i still just cant really put away the concern that this wagon suddenly appeared in like the span of a page and the varsoon wagon totally disappeared

sort of want other peoples thoughts on what they think that means if that wasnt a topic of discussion while i was gone

In post 520, sheepsaysmeep wrote:
In post 518, Nancy Drew 39 wrote:Sheep, you’ve been agreeing with Varsoon’s stance wrt the hood. I really don’t understand how he is your biggest scumread?

a) my read on him has nothing to do with agreeing on the hood

if you read my posting on him or open my iso and command f, it shouldnt be hard at all to see where im coming from or trace my progression clearly which should be a pretty sufficient summary from what i remember that i posted while reading his posting

this is a simplified compilation of things ive essentially talked about at points, but

look for like, actual reads or sorting from varsoon
not mechanical talk, but actual reads

anyone who townreads him is essentially letting him slip by off of his mechanics talk, and i originally townread? it but it's not hard to fake at all once i think more about it

and when you read more deeply into his mechanics stuff it's basically just "oh here's the neighborhood, i outed because i think there's a wolf in here i think, actually, there's a chance that there arent any wolves here and here's the probability and here are 20 reasons why" or smtg which is basically just useless and i cant even tell what he's supposed to be trying to say so no i dont see a stance to agree on

wagonomics ish talk below

b) i want to note for clarity that he might not even be my current scumread rn as im switching back and forth between leodanny and varsoon

but in terms of general stuff thats happened leodanny is like a varsoon 2.0 of this game

i scumread them off a similar premis where they were posting a lot and had a pretty noticable thread presence but after a more in depth look no content or solving
a wagon suddenly appeared on them after i tried pushing my uncomfort there for a bit, and soon they were really high up in votes
that original high posting high impact at point 1 is gone and they immediately drop in activity/wim/confidence and panic and go into posting to try to survive mode

the leodanny wagon is great and i support it, but varsoon was pressured, he responded terribly, and the pressure just went away and i think it's very important and am officially asking that some of the peopel who were originally on his wagon and ditched to at least maintain some of that pressure

(also while on the topic of wagons, the way his wagon just disappeared when another started emerging is nagl imo)

c) also if there's anything that stops me from just totally trusting you/putting you in the town core it's your unwavering defense and confidence in varsoon? like his wagon has been a prominent thing and youre arguing against it without budging and i'd expect you to at least reconsider or be somewhat paranoid or have at least some doubt with the amount of reasons that are being put forth against him because the basis for your defense on him is fairly weak from what ive read and if he flips wolf i turn straight to you
In post 531, sheepsaysmeep wrote:

this is the textbook wolf response to pressure when theyre getting by with a majority being comfortable/v reading them until a wagon suddenly appears

and it's exactly what varsoon did

In post 587, sheepsaysmeep wrote:the varsoon wagon was still a large thing earlier, i never saw anything or any reasons supporting the fact that it just disappeared, and ive argued multiple timesi for another wagon and it's just been ignored

Okay. Do you have meta that suggests scum Varsoon is more likely to rely on gambits or more likely to be detached from the thread? Have you searched to see if town Varsoon uses gambits outside of that one game?

Cause this still looks like "Varsoon played poorly and we should lynch him" not "Varsoon is scum and we should lynch him." If this is a policy lynch, there is literally no point to policy lynching a slot that has already been replaced.

Also, the fact that you're relying on a meta from a single game that was half the size and probably vastly different by your own admission is :/ at best.

I'd vote Gamma over Vax here, tbh. Not really digging either wagon tho.

Add Ausuka to my scumz list.

PB, FL, feel free to weigh in.

it's prob not as substantial as you think for one thing

it's like him not liking people who wanted to lynch leo and an early sheep scumread with an actual legit reason behind it, plus some casual talk with varsoon/flavor that felt genuine and that's pretty much it

I just like it and if it wasn't there I would prob be very fine with burning his slot into the ground like a few other people seem to want to at the moment

You are townreading him because he didn't like the wagon on flipped town but did fuckall in the main thread to derail the lynch and because he was fluffing? I continue to want to give the Party Boat a Viking Funeral.

I mean... Kokichi's request to not be blocked is NAI. If town, he either does or does not have an active night role. If he does, he wants to stop town from antisynergy. If he doesn't he wants to goad a scum rb into wasting a shot on him. If he's scum, he wants to have an out when he doesn't show as conftown tomorrow.

Discussing that atm is a waste of time.

Also, feel free to roleblock me, I don't have any super secret additional powers that activate at night. ;)

Not interested in mastina yet, believe the scumread on you thus didn't replace into that slot reason. She'll be readable soon. Also, probably dead.

Matching on reads has very little to do with whether I think you're town. And I'll be braindead for however long I want.

There are NO DEADLINES, I don’t sr Ausuka and Dann seemed really townie. Why shouldn’t we have unvoted him?

Would you have been less annoyed had no one unvoted and he flipped town?

If this was a deadline game, your annoyance would make a helluva lot more sense. We aren’t risking a no lynch here.

No deadlines doesn't mean no thread apathy. :P

I intend to race through the next 4-5 days and wreck the endgame like it owes me money. I don't care what alignment the flip is as long as the vote threshold drops and there are fewer people to think about.

LHF is low hanging fruit.

Beetlejuicing is when a player with low content comes to defend themselves/produce content when they are mentioned/questioned. It means they're probably reading the thread but not contributing, and thus likely a PR overly concerned about being lynched or scum.

I most certainly did not. 50% of my effort in OK1 was shitposting with A50. 30% of my effort was mechanical solutions to the game. 10% of my effort was trying to prevent my favorite players from being lynched even if they were scum (see Tails) and 10% was trying to sort out which one of CT/You/RR was scum. I functionally stopped playing when it became clear town was going to win and did not give a shit about the lynch at that point.

And fuck yeah I did a ton of meta/busywork/in depth reading. That's my jam. I do that shit as any alignment. I'm even doing it here despite my low as hell level of GAF this game.

Your reasoning boils down to: Mastina is capable of doing this as scum. Mastina is pushing a bad case that Xtox is scum.

I disagree that her case on Xtox is wrong (although I haven't done the meta there), and the first is objectively true but also pretty unimportant in the scheme of reading mastina.

Every other person pushing mastina is doing so for bad/NAI reasons. Thus, garbage wagon.

I don't want to lynch a claimed JK based on a case I think is NAI and a bunch of shit reasoning, and thus oppose the wagon.

He says the wagon is scumdriven, and yet the majority of the wagon is people he was townreading. Light was on the wagon, but was actively pushing FL and X the whole time. waffled about the slot's alignment, not pushed it heavily.

Wagon, ND, PB, Trekkie and sheep are all townreads of his. Koki claimed IC. My point is that I agree that the wagon on Saudade was bad. But that so is the wagon on Mastina, for largely the same reasons and because of largely the same slots.

No, I know what your case is. I just don't think it's as compelling as you think it is. I also don't think it's a bad case. I think the rest of the wagon is poison. Which also isn't a reason to townread mastina, ftr. The whole point of leaving her alive for now is pretty much all due to the probable multiball nature of the game, and the fact that I want to leave the probable protective role alive because of it.

Wagon resistance isn't mastina, btw. It's sheep and ausuka.

Dann scummy imo.
Purr/Trekkie weak reads at best.

Gamma unreadable for me, so no comment.

Ausuka much more aggressive as scum when being pushed.

Look at Ausuka immediately before and after she was pushed. The aggression jumped through the roof, and was targeted only at Wis despite me and Wis doing literally the same thing. It only died down again when the wagon stalled. Also, she was the cw to Saudade "scumwagon" and is still the cw to mastina, so...

Besides that, her wagon is way more townier than mastina's.

She's arguing things when the reasoning she gives is literally counter to the thing she's arguing. If she ends up being right it might be a case of TMI. Nope, prolly not. I'm going to assume Wagon does because scum is going to be hesitant to shoot him for the entertainment value though, and there's quite a few people who think the meta provided for sheep is directly contrary to what she's said it means. Additionally, she just said moonlogic is a scumtrait and she has a hydra with Mathblade, which is all sorts of

Nope, she's a manipulator. She puts together a plan for what the team needs to hit early, picks out the players that can be pocketed, lynched and the ones that need to eat a NK. She makes sure that her team is in a good position, and then she enables them to win without her.

She CAN go for the endgame if necessary, but she knows people are gonna tend to default scumread her because she's goodscum and so she focuses on making sure the team will win without her.

Compared to you, me and RC, who will burn the rest of the team if need be to make sure you can be the lynchpin in the endgame, mastina has no problem falling on her own sword. It's actually the part of her scumgame that I think is explicitly better than mine, because I don't trust my buddies to endgame very often. Mastina and Pine are like the perfect scumbuddies because of that.

Why? I’m not a PR, that’s why Cheeky was killed over me. This theory is ludicrous. Why would scum care about NKing a town neighbour? Have you thought about that?

That’s how I’m so confident on Purr being town. Unlike Jingle, she can actually read me correctly. Which is why she gave me the fruit,

Not about you being a threat at all, but about the timeframe. Day 6 or so is when town should have the game pretty close to solved or they're fucked.

No, mastina's fruit logic is ridiculous because very few people put active thought into who to vend to as a fruitvendor. Mechanically, it's usually a 0 utility role and most people don't think about it being a potentially useful role. It does have the level of reasoning that is coherent with her believing it, but that's not really AI for her, because she's the type of player who would look for suboptimal Nightplay from townies as something to push as scum because she can tell the truth while arguing it. Or she could be town who thinks Purr would have acted optimally as town. It's exactly the type of tunnel I tend to fall into.

And I'd wager Cheeky would have died before you either way because she's more difficult to pocket. You're tough to lynch, but your emotions seem pretty easy to toy with tbh. Both pissing you off to keep you off balance and ineffective and protecting you to come across as friendlytown both seem effective from what I've seen of you. Not a criticism, btw, but definitely something I'd be aware of in the future if I were you. And yeah, if I ever intentionally try to keep you pissed off I'm probably scum. :P

Why? Everyone obvtownread her, except for her scumpal Nico, that is.

Nope?

JJh and I spent literally PAGES of mechanical discussion preventing her lynch from the moment I stepped into the game. It was mechanically optimal not to lynch her, and there were still a bunch of people (Fire, Varsoon, Invis, Mememen etc) who wanted to lynch her. Even the people who were townreading her were mostly doing so because the play of clearing a bunch of townies just didn't make sense for scum to do. I literally derailed wagons on her on consecutive days. She was not "obvtown" by any stretch of the imagination.

Also, go ahead and list the people who opposed the mastina lynch. I'll help. Jingle, Wisdom, Sheep. Yup, a third of the 'resistance' to the lynch was the hammer.

Enter kind of did at the end when I'd already made it clear I was proanything but a townread and was arguing against the lynch largely to point out that the stances of the people on the wagon itself were garbage. Brie and Wagon were both outright support. Koki wants the day to end by any means necessary. BNL and vax were on a better wagon, but neither seemed especially against the mastina lynch. Vonflare and light haven't done shit in days, and thus can't be said to have been against the wagon that popped up since they've been disconnected. And PB... Has done literally fuckall since I stopped pushing that read.

Compared to the Ausuka lynch, the sheep lynch, the PB lynch, the Dannflor lynch (that had the passive support of pretty much everyone), the mastina lynch was easy as fuck to get through.

Dannflor replaced in, his wagon fell apart, and mastina died. In quick succession. I was the ONLY real pushback to the lynch. Wisdom was largely absent while it happened. Sheep was largely absent while it happened. And even I wasn't townreading her, just aware that the cases on her were completely NAI. Which... is something I pointed out. Many times.

It's rather important that we keep what actually happened in mind here, because there's a lot of shit floating around that just isn't true.

Yup, and trusting a post that is definitely designed to mislead you in a future game was a really solid reason for voting in the first place. :P

PEdit: First paragraph is about RC UPIck, second is about the continued assertion that there was resistance to mastina's wagon.

Eh, that's incorrect but the meaning and the transition should be obvious so I'm just gonna say replace paragraph with chunk.

Also, I have a feeling I'm gonna die tonight because obvtown AF and not letting narratives about the game stand, so all I have to say is look back at profii and CT. They were probably killed for reads accuracy.

It's reasonable that that is the case. And that's literally the best case on her that has been posted (which I already said). Trusting scum mastina's selfmeta to read mastina is a bad idea though, and there IS a reason for townmastina to try to put you on your back foot, so to speak. People are easier to read when they're off balance. That's also the problem with all of Flavor's case. He's 100% correct that it could come from scum, but it could also easily come from town.

As for Jingle, if he didn’t sleep through OK 1 and jester game, he should know I’m town here.

I kinda did sleep through OK1. It was pretty obvious when I stopped caring, I started posting about comics and flavor more and spent as much time getting A50 to agree to flip me as Queen Latifah as I did solving the game.

And Jester Nightless is a meme setup that should never be used for meta reads.

It'll be more telling after flips, but it's definitely something to keep in mind.

FWIW, I disagree that a scumteam that needed 5 replacements was amazing. They did a good job, but not scummy worthy imo.

I'm not saying she wasn't. I'm saying that given sheep/hebi literally lurked out of the game, Dannflor was shot the day after he replaced in, tw was here for about a week and Purr basically scumclaimed in what looks like an unintentional way it's not really scummy material imo. You deserved the win and played well. I wouldn't say your play was amazing. I might be a little bit salty about being shot so soon, but I feel like my evaluation is reasonable.

No, I agree with you that the scum team did very well. The night kills were perfect to keep town disorganized. You managed some crucial mislynches and remained towny through them.

What I'm saying is that the black marks I mentioned keep this game from being scummy worthy imo. I think the disconnect is in where we think the bar for scummy worthy should sit. You were good. I think scummy noms should be extraordinary.

I still have Paris Creature, one slot I can still be fairly confident about reading, You scumfucks aren’t going to take that away from me.

Time to begin plan "Make Creature the best scumplayer on MS."
