Description:
The setup is open: 2 Mafia Goons, 6 Vanilla Townies, and 1 Town Deflector. However, the probability of each player being scum isn't uniformly random. Instead, it follows this distribution:

The probability of each pair of players being the scumteam is proportional to the number shared between them, and the Deflector is uniformly randomised among the remaining players.

In addition, the mechanic Get a Room (stolen from Plotinus and edited) is in play:

Get a RoomIn addition to voting for the lynch, if players are engaging in an annoying argument or if you just want a neighbourhood with your friends, players may vote for several players to "get a room".

The number of votes required for a room to go through is
one less than twice the number of occupants of the proposed room
(3 for a 2 person room, 5 for a 3 person room, ... , 9 for a 5 person room, etc.).

Each player may not be given more than two rooms per day phase, and may not gain a new room while they have an active post restriction.


If enough people vote in this manner, those players will gain a
temporary post restriction
that they may not talk to or about each other in public for 48 hours or the rest of the day phase (whichever is shorter). While restricted in this manner, they may continue to vote and unvote each other normally, including room votes.

open for the rest of the game including at night

If the players who get the room are not all members of the same scum faction, a
private topic will be created
to continue their discussion. Otherwise, they may

Players who break their post restriction will be publicly warned at the moderator's discretion. Restrictions do not begin until they have been acknowledged by the moderator.

" in bold. Examples:

(in response to some stupid TvT argument that you’re tired of reading / in response to someone scumhunting your buddy a little too hard)

Abusing this mechanic because you want a room with your friends is fine with me if you can get enough votes to pull it off, but intentionally annoying other players with the sole purpose of gaining a PT is not. Try asking the town nicely like so "Hey guys, otherWallPoster and I want to spend 6 pages walling at each other. If you don't want to read this exchange, help us out:

More details:
  • If town hits deadline and lynches by plurality (rather than majority), the Deflector will not be able to act. This is to encourage good town play and not let the clock hit deadline for a default lynch.
  • The punishments for breaking room-related post restrictions are as follows: Each time you make an accidental mention of someone you cannot talk about, I will issue a public warning. If you get 3 warnings or more, you will lose your ability to room-vote for the rest of the Day. If you intentionally break your post restriction, this also makes you lose your room vote. If after getting 3 warnings, you make many (5) infractions within a short period (48 hours), or you intentionally break your post restriction again, you will be force replaced.

This is a Mafia game with 1 beginning, but 2 endings!

The game will be based on Express Mafia.
2 Mafia Goons vs 7 Vanilla Townies. If scum is lynched on Day 1, town win. Otherwise, scum will send a Mafia goon to World A (a PT) along with two townies, and the other Mafia Goon will bring another two townies into World B. World A and World B will proceed as two concurrent LyLo games hidden from each other.

In each world, I will expose the alignments of each player in the other world. The townies not in either world (including the lynched townie) are treestumped and may post in thread but cannot see posts made by anyone else.

This is a tricky part of the setup

I want town to play to their win condition, so townies must try to win their subgame, but they win if town wins either subgame, and they get a double win if they win both subgames.

The wincon of the treestumped townies is to get town to win in both subgames. They cannot sacrifice one to win the other.

The Mafia’s wincon is trickier, they must indepentently try to win their subgames but they win if either one wins, and they get a double win if they both win.


I realise wincons in this game will be chaos, but that does not prevent me from trying this game :P It probably won’t be a problem if the players are playing to an honor system.

The winner of each subgame wins one point
And each faction tries to get as many points as possible

And I’ll count a town win on Day 1 as town getting 2 points.

Additionally, the mechanic Get a Room (stolen from Plotinus) will be in effect.

I'll also be amending the voting for Get a Room:
  • The number of votes required for a room is
    half the number of living players rounded down plus one for each player in a room after the first
    . Hence, if there are 9 players alive, 5 votes are required for a 2 person room, 6 votes for 3 people, 7 votes for 4 people etc.
  • Once a room is made, all room votes are reset.
