I got into mafiascum

I got into mafiascum when I was about 14 or 15, so I had no way of articulating myself, I was too lazy to read, and I was very quick to jump on popular bandwagons (whether I was town or scum). I was the jailkeeper my first game which was fun, but I ended up losing because I trusted my IC too much and it turns out he was scum. Then I remember playing another game where I was scum, and at L-1 (I think this was the first night), I was really angry because I couldn't control my emotions, so I just claimed that I was scum (aka kinda threw the game). Anytime it looks like normal solutions don't get me out of trouble, I always just do the thing that people least expect and see if that gets me out of trouble. And it didn't

Quit the game because I hate reading so much, but then I played this game IRL at a party about a month ago, fell in love with it, and now here I am. I'm 21 now, so I no longer have the attention span of a squirrel, and I'm taking the game a lot less seriously (which I can tell from the current posts, this game is super memey). Counting page numbers isn't a good indicator for saying that the game is past RVS. If the game isn't at RVS anymore, can you tell me why omochao is at L-1 now?

I can't understand your other two sentences, but yeah. I confuse myself sometimes with what I say. I do a lot of "thinking outloud" as a type. Like I could've just read my game history to see how many games I've been in before posting that I've only been in two games. I actually looked up a thread on when is it ever a good idea to vote for yourself, and at the risk of going off topic, the tldr is that people only do that whenever they're just upset with themselves or raging at other people for voting them. There are setups where voting for yourself has an advantage, but not this setup. I need to double check that there's 6 people left, because if that's the case, Mafia could win by D3 if I get lynched and a townie dies N2. I kind of like how we don't know how many roles there are in this game. Opens up lots of possibilities.

1) you claimed at L-1
2) you claim you targeted someone who was already dead (which is convenient for scum to not have to "clear" someone)
3) the role itself is one town is unlikely to lynch (I'd have much less hesitation for a claim of neighborizer, for instance)

1.) I was told in my first mafia game that if you have a special role, you shouldn't claim it until you're going to die otherwise (or if I caught scum) as to avoid the mafia from killing you. I believe this is the only game I've had a special role in besides my first game.

2.) Yeah that seems really unlucky. That's why I was trying to think if the mafia killed the worst, knew I was cop, and knew I was investigating the worst, just to falsify my claim? Is there some kind of mafia cop in this setup? Or maybe the mafia picked up on me dropping hints as to my role day 1. I did say I have a special power, and I can't use it until day 2. I really messed up day 1. Should've been quiet.
