All I've used from the stone building is a few pieces of bread to keep myself alive while I make a fully functional chicken farm lol

There's a chicken farm on the roof of my lake-house ((right in front of the stone building with chests and etc.))

All the eggs in that chicken farm can be taken at someone's leisure. I discourage killing unless a rogue chicken happened.

I have tons of Redstone mined and I log on pretty often, next time we're both on, I can give you some.

You don't have to give anything in return, but I use gold for food so it is helpful.

Golden apples and golden carrots are great

I also use gold more for trading with villagers. I get gold is the fastest to mine, but it loses its appeal for lowest durability to me.

be careful in the public mines, there has been a lot of new excavation recently that appears to not be mobproofed, and I don't have the time to fix it all right now.


PS: For all those building right outside the city, may i ask what lead to your decision making process that made you choose not to settle within the safety of the city? It's free for anyone to do so.

I hope my excavation isn't deemed non-mobproofed I've placed a torch about every 6 blocks away from each other in the tunnels, and moreso when I've mined a little hole.

I just built the interior place for the Enchanting Library.

Going to build more rooms later, probably. But I'm going to start placing enchanting tables and library stuff in there.

Google minecraft wiki and read the Wii page on enchanting. In order to get maximum level enchants you need bookshelves to a certain degree. You want 3 different tiers as well to provide low and mid level enchants. This can be done effectively with sticky pistons. I can help you refine a design later and we can move it to somewhere where the size this room and it's redstone will require wont be obnoxious/ obvious

You seem to know more about how things work in Minecraft than I do. I've just recently started playing it since 2012, and a lot of newer things have multiple mechanics about them that are unstated without research.

i just use texture packs to make gravel, dirt, and cobble less ugly

...thats probably why my lake house looks... very unconventional.
