In post 10, Irrelephant11 wrote:If I ever modded mafia games, I would offer to mod the winning setup, but alas.
If anyone wants to make that offer, though, I would think that person was very cool!!!
I'll do this
edit: it seems Mr. Penguin has snuck in before me once again
Town 1 shot dream walker (roleblocking traffic analyst)
Town compulsive n0 neighbouriser - the realm of dreams*
6 VTs
Two random players who are not the mafia traitor will be turned into karmic neighbours (separate to the realm of dreams). alignments are not guaranteed. this neighbourhood automatically disbands at the start of day three.
realm of dreams shared ability: the most recently added member of the pt must compulsively chose a new neighbour. Assuming this succeeds their current neighbour will be removed but all discussions will remain. at the end of resolution the hood must have either 1 or 2 members.
*need to think of a way this isn't scumsided by 30% chance of hitting scum n0

oh yeah, sorry. it was meant completely ironically, it's definitely a nice dilemma to have.
I aired some feedback on the voting system as well; I think a pretty open discussion is warranted after we've run through the January poll but I think Irrelephant borrowed it from another game format because he's a bit strapped for time..

dashes are perfect. are both of you comfortable if I go into your individual answers and correct them to reflect how you actually felt? normally I'd just go by the tallies in the spirit of privacy but it would be easier.
otherwise I can wipe all the votes and start the poll again but I think I need to do a new poll from scratch for this... not sure how much time I'll have for this.

Preferential system. Players list their preferred lynch from most to least, and players with the lowest number of votes are removed until a majority wagon is achieved.

(hope people don't mind me talking about this)
nsg's was my favourite as well. interestingly nsg + cfj's both got more #1 votes and were more 'loved'; mith's was just very universally 'strongly liked'
i would like to say that i like this setup a lot. i think it's elegant in its simplicity and i think it's a nice way to spice up mountainous to make it a bit more interesting and to give it a bit more widespread appeal.
reminds me a little bit of cul-de-sac, but i
think
i like this one better. (of course, this is 2:9 mountainous while i think cul-de-sac is 2:11 mountainous)
I really like Allomancer's setup a lot, as well. Analysing voting patterns in a setup like this sounds like a blast.
One of those which I think would be even more fun to play than to analyse.

I think Rel is passing the reins onto the winner (assuming mith is keen to run the Feb one). I'm also more than happy to help with admin backup on the voting side of things. If you have an idea maybe shoot mith a pm and ask if he wants to run Feb or would be cool with you doing it?
