but I didn't mate. Like not even close. My biggest scum instinct came from you using surgery to excuse not playing in both of our games

but I still believe you were being truthful about that in both games, and I think I rightly discounted it as part of a read. So I think it would be fine for you to go back to underestimating me in the future.

Well played guys. I didn't scum read alch, either.
Yeah I know what you are talking about, Pint replaced into my scum slot in that game (Newbie 1905). The first thing Pint did that gave me scum vibes was when he declared STW a townread for using the word "holistic" one time.

Here's something extremely ironic.

A few days ago I had this "epiphany" that Alchemist was scum via his roleclaim. He was the only person to claim a Zerg unit that can actually attack/kill in the Starcraft video games. The Zerg mutalisk (Alchemist's claim) can attack/kill, but the Zerg viper (Mewtaph's claim) and the Zerg Overseer (Meph's claim) cannot attack/kill in Starcraft. I reasoned that, based on Jjh's fakeclaim (Zerg Hatchery) being the exact Zerg equivalent of his actual role (Terran Command Center), that the scum air unit would have an attacking Zerg air unit as their fakeclaim. The logic was that if this was the case, then Mewtaph couldn’t be the scum air unit, because if he was a Terran or Protoss air unit that was comparable to his claim (Zerg Viper), then he would have to be a non-attacking air unit like the Terran medivac. And if he was a non-attacking Terran or Protoss air unit, he couldn’t possibly have a kill flavor that would make sense for his role, and thus he could not be scum. So I thought that was a legitimate way to solve between Mewtaph vs Alchemist, because one of them claimed to be an air unit that can attack and the other didn't.

But after talking about it with Auro, I came to the conclusion that it was entirely reasonable to conclude that the scum air unit did have a fakeclaim for a Zerg air unit, but not necessarily for a Zerg air unit that can attack/kill -- assuming that much seemed reachy, and I wasn't going to push for Alchemist's lynch based on that alone. And then to make matters worse, when I reread through most of the entire game, I just became more and more convinced that Mewtaph was scum based on his ISO and his interactions with Pint and Nico/Jjh (especially Pint).

And by the way, Auro meant it when he said that he was getting paranoid about Alchemist. Whereas I had thoughts about scum!Alchemist mainly for mechanical reasons, Auro was actually getting scum vibes from him. Had Pint been lynched today, Auro and I most likely would have had a long debate about Mewtaph vs Alchemist.

You've actually seen me in two games. Newbie 1905 (viewtopic.php?f=50&t=77949) where you replaced into my scum slot, and we also played together shortly in Open 741: Red Flag (viewtopic.php?f=51&t=77905). Unfortunately, due to being busy IRL I had to replace out of both games, so I didn't do much at all in either game.

He was obviously trying to create rifts in peoples townreads to open more mislynch opportunities yesterday.

But damn I got fooled hard by Pintus obfuscating stupid townie play.
Mewtaph really threw us off unfortunately.
