Any RVS beyond 24 hours is excessive imo. What’s your plan for helping to make that happen?

I spent some time this morning thinking about breaking strategies but I certaiy didn’t solve anything. It seems that there really isn’t any downside to discussing who the cop check should be on a given night. If scum kill the target we’ve really just earned a second lynch.

But I was literally making an argument for using it as a second lynch...aka we all agree on a target before actually lynching.

Not a “player playing bad”, but the actual next best lynch. It’s a question of what’s better between:
1) There are 10 players alive going into night, the least town of which either dies or has their alignment confirmed by the mod.
2) There are 10 players alive going into night, the most town of which dies and another player has their alignment confirmed by the mod.

Option 2 gives a smaller pool of unchecked players, but there are consequences. The lynched player’s check might not line up with concensus leading to more mislynches, and the most town player dies night 1 as opposed to being left alive.

I’m not really sure which is better, I’m just explaining the things that I’ve been thinking about.

In all reality their hand is forced regardless at some point. They can’t leave too many confirmed town players around before POE takes over. So is the group’s decision stronger than one individual’s? Probably I’d think, but that gives scum the ability to plan ahead too.

And obviously scumhunting is the means through which we decide the lynch and any investigation targets. Thanks for the helpful input Creature.

Hurt tags is probably a decent comprimise between giving enough information to the person making the investigation while making it harder for scum to plan.

I’m just thinking out loud about what the best way to handle the investigation is. Yes, if we come up with a concensus scum are incentivized to kill that player instead of someone else who threatens them. The trade off is that when scum kill the investigated player we have to work with less information the next day.

We can revisit when the lynch is closer though. Hell, the correct strategy might become clear with more game context. This doesn’t have to dominate the early discussion.

The combination of Dannflor's push on you for empty questions and the tendency for me to think his questions are empty is something that I'd like to push before the day is done.

I haven't seen a reason for Creature or draco to be in the lynchpool so they're not in it.

So, what has stood out about the four of us who aren't scummy enough to be in the lynchpool, but have done something to stand out enough to be a priority sort? DT aside because that's obvious.

x-wing's transition from being on and getting off the bbmolla wagon are kinda opposite how I'm reading things. I think rvs selfvoting is pretty NAI in general but that mollas actions from that point onward are scummy. x-wing somewhat defended my vote which doesn't really line up with being off the wagon especially considering he's not pushing elsewhere. I'm not sure what to make of it yet.

Neither you nor overkill had made much posting that I consider serious at the time I posted my reads. There's just not any reason for me to put effort into reading jokes or whatever which means you still need to be sorted.

Firstly, I dont know if this has been addressed, but under no circumstances do we give someone a target to check if they flip town, mafia will just kill them if they are town.

Also, draco posts incentivized me to look back on penguin's iso. I agree its not great. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt for what seemed like a reasonable bit of pressure on me. Then again I was never really convinced the vote was serious so what kind of pressure is that really?

End of the day post may not be AI on its own but I still think it's pretty bad considering context. You stayed on your vanity wagon despite saying multiple other wagons were "fine" or "good," and then proceeded to note vote them. I know the wagon went fast, but why did you stay on BBmolla?

The molla wagon is the one I wanted to push the whole time and is still what I keep coming back to. That said vanity wagons are pretty useless in the middle of day 1 as is tunneling. I'm not sure how you're equating me being willing to lock down other reads to being scum.

Heck, I liked the idea of an overkill wagon but wasn't dead set on it. And even if I voted I would have been off it the second Dr Worm indicated they were thinking about hammering. Like what good is a pressure wagon if you hammer the person before they even respond to it? I think that lynch was lucky and that scum are on the wagon.

That said I took the night phase off from thinking about this game and I'm at work now so I haven't sat down and taken a good uninterrupted look at the people on the wagon. Id put a vote down if I felt good about where I'm at but right now I don't

Sorry for dragging this along. I thought I could get myself reinvested in the game but that hasn't been the case. You guys deserve someone who actually wants to be here and right now that's not me.

Really hated replacing out of this but the responsibility of being in a game was making me dread coming on site. I shouldn’t have signed up in the first place and hopefully won’t be playing anymore without a good sized break.
