Persuasion for scum is nothing more than getting town to believe you are town. Some might argue and say the job of scum is to get town to lynch each other. This ignores the cardinal rule of scum-play: Town is dumb and they will find their own mis-lynches without you guiding them.

What happens when you're scum in a game where the town ISN'T a gigantic collection of morons? And in those cases, what is your best recommendation for how to drive (or at least achieve) mislynches?

You laugh but a pretty solid % of my wolf games have come against pretty stacked towns.

Like, as an example, my 2017 MU hydra game 13/4 against

nancy/camn (ragequit d1 [THANK GOD for the record] but still)
Dunn/MariaR
Quick/darcstar
Sooh/xicor (xicor is super lynchbait but sooh is competent)
delphine/pozzai (2 competent players, i've played w/ delphine before and she's somewhat familiar w/ my meta)
proph/ryker (also 2 competent players, though i don't know them well)
(and then mainly town potatoes so far as I remember, though town got a huge gift in an n2 sub-in of BATMAN/Frog replacing a potato slot before I, uh... blasted them in the face that night )

that's probably around the mid point, maybe even a bit below average for towns I've faced up against

so it's an important question for me given my meta and rand history
