I would never, ever, EVER, in ANY SITUATION, self-vote.

All who self-vote are fucktards. It's not cute. It's not clever. It's not gutsy, or brave, or interesting. Maybe you've to the wrong man.

No.

I'm not providing links to prove I don't tolerate self-voting. That's.... retarded. Just take my word for it.

Understatement of the year, folks.
It was in the random voting stage.

Let's lynch the scum plzkthxbai
I agree with both of you. This argument is mostly meaningless.

Man this quesiton is dumb. Okay, pick any of these:

1) It enables one to avoid offending ANYONE with their vote. Even a random vote of another player sometimes draws a "huh. why that person?" to which a response, albeit a small one sometimes, is necessary.

2) It's lazy as hell, and shows that one has no interest in making any effort at all to draw out responses from other players. It's an attempt to look cavalier and unafraid, but really looks the opposite.

3) It insulates one from being near lynch. For example, you jumped on me for putting natirasha at lynch -2. However, ONE OF THOSE VOTES WAS HIS OWN!! So essentially it would still take THREE more votes to kill him (after he moved his own vote away) but everyone was scared to put a vote on him lest he be at lynch -1. A player voting her/himself is basically playing with an extra card, and can dump one of her/his votes whenever s/he wants.

Cue my other annoyance about self-votes. Idiots wait in line to defend a self-voter from attacks.

Here's my full thoughts, up to and including this page:

8- Natirasha self-votes
9- dcorbe calls it scummy
10- DBE disagrees
14- pojedinac votes natirasha
15-35- inane chatter
36- Lowell votes natirasha for self-voting
38- dcorbe again thinks natirasha scummy
39- korts votes lowell, calls self-vote non-tell
40- natirasha metas himself, says self-vote normal
41- poj questions nat for self-votes and korts for L-2 issue [good]
44- rofl enters, votes Lowell
49- rofl unvotes, votes poj for holding his vote for a lurker
52- rofl annoyed by DBE unvote
56- DBE votes rofl for harassing her about her vote
59- alab confirm votes Lowell for L-2
60- DBE suggests poj's lurker vote most scummy [good]
63- alab FOSs DBE
64- nat votes DBE for OMGUS
73- lowell says he hates self-voters [smart]
74- rofl votes lowell for opportunism [idiocy]
77- korts unvotes, doesnt want lowell at L-2
81- alab agrees w/ rofl, calls self-vote meaningless
83-89- argument between Lowell and rofl [inane]
92- poj sides w/ alab/rofl/team scum love
100- DBE doesn't get why lowell is scummy [join the club]
101- lowell's long-awaited response [the crowd goes wild]
102- alab responds [the crowd leaves, bored]
106- DBE votes lowell for pressure [very strange]
109- korts votes lowell (4th vote), chastises DBE for saying "only pressure"
110- Lowell claims everyone's mother

Alabaska
- Alab put a random vote on my on the first RL day, and hasn't moved it since. The closest he's gotten in any way to even half-way accusing anyone else was an FOS on DBE... AFTER rofl had already done the same. I was also put off by post 102. It's the kind of "analysis" post that's safe for scum, as it doesn't cast much of a net and does more to defend other players (Nat) than expand his curiosity of the game.
very scum

DBE
- She strikes me as town, except for post 106, which undermines both her general cautious outlook (doesn't like to vote, received heat for it) and her stated opinion 6 posts earlier in 100. Still, probably
town
. I liked post 60 in particular, for some reason.

dcorbe
- looks
town
to me, though his posts are limited.

korts
- taken together, 77 and 109 don't make much sense. Nothing changed between those posts other than he now thinks he can get away with it.
possible scum

rofl
- By far the most annoying, specifically regarding the self-vote is-it-or-isn't-it issue. However, he's been in a lot of people's faces, and is not so blinded by tunnel-vision. His overall aggressiveness in general reads
town
to me.

natirasha
- I don't like the self-vote OR the "I always do this!" defense of it. Call this a pavlovian tactic, but until someone teaches him that self-voting looks scummy and will garner votes, he'll be able to use this tactic to avoid doing anything early in games. Which is what I think he's doing here. The biggest point against that is alab steadfast defense of him, which seems more likely to be attempting to earn favor with a shy townie than any other alternative.
possible scum

pojedinac
- I liked post 41, but since then he hasn't impressed me. In particular, I don't like his quick agreement with the alab/rofl lowell wagon. It seems a little to opportunistic and incurious. No real read one way or the other, though

sykedoc
- No posts yet. Uh, I guess we don't care about that, apparently?

unvote, vote alabaska
