It would be possible to answer "is role x a variant?" or "is role x valid within the rules" but does nothing to say whether player y has role x.
I think we won't find out anything breaking from such a question and answer. We'll still need a flip.

I have a slight concern over Profii flip. 5 conspirators from the worst post, but traitor in the flip. Does that mean not a part of the 5 and therefore we're looking for another? Or was the 5 in the worst's post a backhand way of telling 4 scum that a traitor existed and the actual total is still 5?

Bottom line it's possible there are 3 more, not 2. We need to be careful about the math if that's the case.

Elsa and Nev have both given no-result to me, and Elsa gave no-result to Creature. Barring ascetic or another means of blocking my result they're both clear.
As far as we know Thanos is only "cleared" by xtox being neighborized?
