So I reconfigured our weapon-layout because we were having some trouble bypassing shields and stuff.

No need for power upgrade on my part, yet.
I hope Varsoon can pull off the power requirements for our arty, however.

Currently I have 32 left, after upgrading and buying all available ammo.

Weapons are configured, and there is no more ammo to buy here. I have some money left, but if it's not needed elsewhere I'll save it for upgrades later.
Power is a bottleneck right now.

Maybe invest in repair drone, that could actually save money over time?

I can buy generator upgrades for ⛯30 a pop.
Otherwise, ⛯20 for fuel would be nice.

Generator upgrade would be nice, we are looking at an increased power usage for weapons and that's only going to go up.
Fuel is nice to have too, i suppose

We'd not be crippled if our Pulse Bomb runs out of ammo, but we aren't very deep on ammo either.

Seeing we just stocked up on ammo and fuel, is there much reason for this trade to happen?
I'm don't mind either option here.

No experience in this game unfortunately (though that might change soon), I reckon we currently have enough ammo for a few battles only.
If we'd run out of ammo, there is other weaponry installed that doesn't cost ammo but is also less effective.

I'm leaning conservative here, but it's up to you guys

I rather it in the main thread for quick reaction than just in one player's brain -- obviously I trust you to relay important stuff but it's easy enough to miss details, and even not being online at the same time can cause laggy type situations.

Is it worth it hiring the human (cheap labour, at ⛯30), to operate engines? I don't think we currently have someone working on engines specificially, do we?

If there's no big benefit, we might as well upgrade then.

Upgrade for our big boom is available (it usually is), but i'd need an additional 31 monez for that and it will consume more power.

There hasn't really been a fight lately that shows we desperately need weapon upgrades, however.

Our bombs (which are supposed to bypass shields) were very ineffective. If this

Varsoon has the money he needs now.

There's a TON of weapons here! Most of them seem pointless, and over-expensive. The upgrade for our big boomie weapon is here, as well. If I have ⛯15 more money, I could upgrade it but it would also cost additional power. The upgrade is a pretty significant increase in firespeed.

Pretty much the same situation as before.

I've got all kinds of fancy stuff here, guys.

Depending on how many more fights we encounter, there are a few very usefull one's here.

I believe our current weapons are doing a good job, so upgrading them seems the best way to go.
I've got the funds for the small upgrade that I want, but need ⛯63 more if I wanna buy the big upgrade. This one basicly doubles our best weapon in efficiency. This will put a strain on energy, however.

Missiles, chain-lasers, anti-drone shielding, etc are all available too.

Thoughts?

I can build myself a power thingy allowing us to FIRE EVERY WEAPON AT ONCE. Sorry I get pumped just thinking about it :p

This would cost me just about every penny I have, so I don't need any help for this.
If our cash is better spent elsewhere, let me know.


Since I'm not experienced at this game, I think our weapons are doing fine as the battle shows us. So unless you guys think we need more firepower, maybe spend elsewhere.

With 4 shield and a cloaking, I think it will be a waste of time getting shields down. They'll probably just repair them quickly, and once they are down we probably miss anything because of cloaking so yeah...

Luckily I've been spending quite a bit in our Big Boom, which happens to bypass any shields and does quite some damage.
I'm gonna focus some bombs on disrupting their weapons (probably that nasty Ion gun), to keep our ship into the fight for as long as possible so our Arty Gun can fire as much as possible. Our other weaponry is likely going to be ineffective until the Arty can destroy enemy shields.

Other option is I target their engines with the bombs, to keep them from fleeing? Thoughts?

I've put up a plan that includes sabotaging their ion shots, + firing wildly at whatever we can hit. We're good.

hacking boarding is a little lackluster
basically piloting or mind control imo, but given we never got the commercial license I'd say coordinating piloting hacks with Dr. Spyconeum's firing will probably be more effective.

If I get a thumbs up from Ico I'll fire on their piloting.
