I'm fairly happy saying that the negative feelings URAP gave me were probably because he's scum now that I've looked at how he tried to finesse me today. But Saudade is seeking to make the game about him/Shoshin in a situation where the other scum is obviously easier to resolve.

you haven't dismantled it. yes, it happened as you described above, but that doesn't stop it from being scummy.

His line of thinking re: RC would be bad if this was the basis for it, and would push him to start re-evaluating there.
Even with different win-cons, he's incentivized to find scum as that should give him an auto win, and it's therefore good to communicate and sort out reads.
