With the conceit being that several people suggest a movie every day and at most I watch one a day, I never expected to actually shrink the list faster than it grows unless the list eventually gets so long people are discouraged from submitting! That is why I liked the idea of a random pick each time rather than going through the list in order since new submissions have just as good a chance of being picked as the older ones

Napoleon Dynamite -
NotAJumbleOfNumbers
(3/17/19)

This one wasn't on my list because I've never sat down and watched it all the way through, but back when it came out, I was 7, and I had 3 older sisters who watched and quoted it all the time. My first memory is the scene of the guy squishing Napoleon's tater tots when he's eating them from his pocket, and I had no idea what tater tots were at the time. Movies like this and Anchorman have always fascinated me in that it feels like every line was written to be quoted or to become a meme, especially movies that came out before memes were really a thing.

"Hi, is Napoleon there?"
"Yeah"
"Okay, can I speak to him?"
"You already are"

Not all the humor works, as most of it is cringe comedy and it really depends on the mood you're in, but there's a lot for everyone. Most of the movie is shot like a TV show which is understandable due to the low budget, although there is some interesting camerawork that I wish they'd done more of. Jon Heder is perfectly cast here, but his performance loses a lot of the appeal for me after I saw him in last year's "When Jeff Tried to Save the World" and I realized it's the only role he knows how to play.

Finally DAMN that soundtrack!!!

I remember someone I knew was watching it and out of context I saw the scene where the kid finds out he's colorblind, but I'm not even confident that was Little Miss Sunshine!

That's like, a major plot twist of the movie, so you must have seen some of it.

Alright I'm adding it if you've never seen it the whole way through.

I’d like to submit both, actually
I’ll say this first one is Danny Kaye and do the Ben Stiller one tomorrow

Van Helsing
Show
Do I REALLY suck? That's up to you to decide.

Retiring from LSG's and Mish Mash, for the most part. If you want to contact me, I suggest going outside and enjoying what the world has to offer, instead.

Definitely DID suck, in the end...Probably.

Tribulation (2000)

For those of you who don't know why I'm recommending this, it has Gary Busey and Howie Mandel, and is a Christian eschatological film.

I'm choosing to interpret this as you having no memories of anything whatsoever until you saw Napoleon Dynamite.
