its really sad how little nominations this category got this year

Let's start with me being my normal jerky self. This should be "few".

Anyway, thanks everyone for all the support, I actually like prepared for this because I have a very set theory when I mod games. I just don't want to get in the way. So much respect goes to all the players on this, and I was extremely happy that everyone liked this game so much. Big thanks as well to HeWhoSwims, who was my co-mod, and insanity018 and lycanfire for the review.

American Presidents was my favorite game of the year because it was lighthearted, scum played their guts out, and town had some solid night actions and townblocking that made a scum win just barely unreachable. The playerlist had a wide variety of play styles (shout out to Keyser who I scumread from D1 until he was conftown), the roles had some fun interactions (shoutout to Nauci for crumbing her role in giant wallposts nobody actually read), and scum had some solid fake claims (shoutout to TW and EP for one of the most impressive distancing plays I’ve seen) - I learned so much from this game. When everyone is immediately calling for a rematch post-game, you know something went right.

American Presidents had one of the most engaged and smart towns I have ever had the pleasure of playing against and one of the most supportive and fantastic scumteams I have ever had the pleasure of playing with. I would like to thank brassherald for his moderation of this exceptional game.

As a person who spent more time as a spectator than a participant I want to say the game went through a couple hilly patches but the fact it made such a positive impact despite that probably speaks to the true quality of the game.

Nice! This game was one of my favorite all time games. The player list was amazing. The setup was simple, focused on scumhunting, yet gave enough room for scum to pull off a pretty cool fake claim. It was a true joy to play and my only complaint was dying N2 and not being able to play the whole game. I think both BV and EP deserve an award for their play, which was phenomenal from both town and scum perspective. The game was just competitive all around. Everyone was amazing, no joke, best overall player list I've played with. Not sure what else to say. I think it was just one of those rare experiences where everyone in the game really liked playing with each other, town and scum alike.

I just want to let you know that

tbh a lot of my motivation for wanting to come back into modding came from making that poll and realizing that while 2018 is kinda important since we got so many new faces, and the type of new faces that are probably going to be what the generation after them looks up to. But aside from that, the year didn't stand out in terms of mafia.
But thats okay because I'm back, and while you deserved your W more then the other noms by far, I am going to help make sure that ywall have fun this year with mafia

I was just surprised to be nominated in this category. I'm legitimately going to try to go out of the box a bit more, but still run games like this one at the same time.

Also, I think you are cool, too.
