The reason I asked was because I can't follow the progression of "this could be town and this could be scum" then a vote. Like that's the definition of null and I know she said "I think it could be scum" but I don't really know how much confidence that's meant to convey and it altogether came across as non-comittal. Also I am literally voting the same person as light so why do you think I'm derailing the push that was exactly the same push as hers?
The reason it seems non-committal is because it's page 5 and I'm not gonna base a case off of one post on page 5 of a large theme. Perhaps I was too vague in my comment on that post but I meant it in the sense of "this is scummier than null, enough to warrant a pressure vote at least, but could realistically be something town would do at this stage.

Because I hadn't really thought on a deeper level about the connection between the posts until dunn brought it up? Sometimes you don't really think about things until someone points them out

Balance of probability? Most likely there's one scum on that wagon (and it's vedith)

But the unusual attachment to it of vedith and wisdom raises eyebrows considering gamma's done... not much at all

In post 641, Elsa Jay wrote:You say as you jump to try and make me a horrible counter wagon for Enigma.

Care to give good reasons why I'm a more valuable lynch then Enigma?
Totally:
In post 278, Elsa Jay wrote:If we need a serious Wagon that isn't Gamma, currently liking Wilky, he seems like a chill dude, so until I got more information I'll just sheep this man to victory. Also recommended to Clementine to join me.

VOTE: Ausuka
This makes you seem like you don't care who we lynch
In post 602, Elsa Jay wrote:Enigma has 5 days left to give me something to actually town read them with, or get Wisdom or Dunn to do it.

Frankly I experienced Wisdom first hand and know his reads are pretty good even if he says them weirdly sometimes. Wilky got sidetracked with Sabrina so I'll reevaluate and decide then.
StarwingBeauvoi wrote:Clemency does not appear to be trying to be engaged.
In an unbalanced non-reviewed game, he's probably doing the same thing I'm doing. The real game starts day 2. If we lynch a scum today it's a happy coincidence. If we lynch a townie... Well that's normal and we look and see who on the wagon are freeloaders and question them throughly.

I'm just happy we have a decent lynch and not trying to do a Policy one.
This is the worst post of the game so far. You're asking me why you're a better lynch than enigma but your read on enigma is basically "they haven't given me anything to tr so they're as good a lynch as anyone". And if that's your logic we may as well lynch anyone... great if you're scum.
Your comments on clemency just dig you deeper, they make you seem (again) like you don't particularly care who we kill as long as its not you.
In post 631, Elsa Jay wrote:I'm just waiting for a claim, really. But in a Non-Reviewed game... It ain't going to do much to convince me.
Apparently so, you've clearly decided enigma's the easiest mislynch today and the one which has the least chance of backfiring on you tomorrow. He's nullscum independent of anything else, but your push on him is so anti-town it hurts

And yes, I'll admit there's not very much to go on rn but if I could pick out any player who's actions seem scum motivated it's you, moreso than enigma who's basically a nonentity

And secondly, don't misrepresent my words. I didn't say Enigma's a mislynch (he's nullscum but considering how easy the wagon against him has been accepted I have little confidence he'll flip scum), I said it seems you already know he's gonna be a mislynch and you won't get any backlash from pushing him.

Just letting you guys know in advance that your options this day phase are no lynch and Enigma. I stopped caring about this day phase when people started chipping away at my push instead of calling Enigma out for contentless posting, so I'm just quasi-prodging until day end.
I'm not jumping onto Enigma now. He's nullscum at best and Elsa's reaction to being pushed has been terrible. Elsa's been as contentless as enigma, so why other than that is enigma more scummy than elsa?

Elsa - friendly neighbour (can confirm tonight, if does not - lynch tmrw?)

Enigma - watcher (scum watcher isn't unheard of but he can watch elsa and confirm/deny if Elsa claims being roleblocked. Was only nullscum in the first place)

Chennisden - vig (again, comfortable based on whether there's a second kill tonight. At the same time tho a realistic scum fakeclaim?)

I'll tell you what reactions you get from a self-vote:

"why did you self-vote" (that's NAI)
"I don't like it when people self-vote" (also NAI)
"I'm glad they self-voted" (NAI)

Here's what stances you show on other people when you self vote:

None. Because you don't respond to anyone, you don't show willingness to vote anyone, you don't jump on a wagon that already has five people on it

Let's compare that to voting someone else:

There were five votes on GE this game, that's particularly interesting:

ofrhz votes someone on the GE wagon: this might be a legit serious stance
Possible reactions:
"do you not like the ge wagon, ofrhz?"
"what did that specific player do that the others didn't do?"
One of those players flips down the line and now all of a sudden it's a little easier to see why ofrhz might vote them in RVS - to get some possible distance in (weak, sure, but better than nothing)

Mafia is a game of reading people.
You read people by getting them to react to things
One good way to get people to interact with things is to threaten to lynch them if they don't
One good way to threaten to lynch people is to vote them
This is why we have RVS
In RVS no one has any reads on anyone
So we begin threatening to lynch everyone
We put our votes everywhere
We see what stances people are willing to take
We see how people are trying to play the game
Who has an agenda - people tehy dont necessarily want lynched no matter what
Who has no agenda - willing to look at anyone and definitely trying to figure out what's going on

By self-voting, you refuse all town motivations in RVS
It's a sign that you already know who's who and what's what, because there is no confusion, no need to push elsewhere to garnish reads
If this were posted in mafia discussion it would make an interesting talking point

Posted less than 48 hours before deadline when you're the primary wagon makes it seem like you're trying to avoid actually contributing

Like that's the definition of null and I know she said "I think it could be scum" but I don't really know how much confidence that's meant to convey and it altogether came across as non-comittal. i actually don't think anyone voting me is scummy yet; there's probably 1-2 scum in players like enigma, clemency, elsa, ofrhz? who feel kind of like they're holding back. there are a lot of nully people in general.
In post 399, Ausuka wrote:to those asking about my line about the gamma wagon; it generally seems like it would be a good idea to build on what we have, even if people are just pretending to actually believe it, then build a wagon that explicitly is not on a scumread because i think the first one would cause more pressure and cause the game to get started a lot faster. if there's a case on gamma that i missed i'd be wrong but i don't think there is one.

@enigma; those players are holding back in terms of content; it's certainly possible some of you are busy irl but we can't just assume that as an excuse for giving no content, i think.

Maria's push on chennis confirms her as desperate cornered scum. I still think a fuscosco lynch would have been better due to the lynchproof claim but eh at this point idrc either way

I don't mind seeing Elsa neighboured tbh. Highly unlikely she comes back guilty but if she does we're half way there
and living on a prayer
, if she comes back innocent that brings our PoE in tighter

I don't fully agree with the point RE brassherald. His entry seemed like a rushed, poorly thought out attempt to fake-inno his partner fuscosco, overlooking that elsa was conftown, and get a quick lynch on elsa or myself. I think its a scum fuck up precisely because his early posts + elsa vote came from the position of someone who didn't know elsa was conftown, so in his eyes the maths worked out (elsa + me + bus on ofrhz) and he couldn't go back on the claim later without confscumming himself and outing his partner in the process.

Therefore the fakes gotta be fuscosco and elsa jay
