Gurlz I am not this far in the actual televised series but this sounds LEGIT. I'm p sure if you weren't reading along it came as an awesome surprise.

I'm glad S4 is delivering; when I heard that they had covered up past the Red Wedding in S3 and were still planning to do only the last half of SoS for this season, I didn't think there was enough material, but now I see that I am profoundly wrong.

So I understand, I hear there's quite a bit going on with Theon when I don't believe he's involved in any of SoS and FfC as far as I've read.

Well I finished Season 4 last night.

One of the resounding things that stood out to me was that the Jaime-redemption-train would be chugging along so strongly...if it wasn't for the rape. And I know there were arguments aplenty back when the episode aired but I'm mostly dealing with the fact that, given how the show has presented it, it's essentially, "well yeah, Jaime did like 17 good things...but he also raped Cersei so" and it discolours my opinion of him forever.

In the finale I think I thought the scene between Brienne/the Hound/Arya/Podrick was really good; all four are interesting characters and their initial pairings are excellent and then tension in the scene where they meet up is just as good.

I somehow missed the teeth clattering on the stones during the combat trial? A shame.

Fave characters: Brienne, Podrick, Sansa

Is that really a hole? I think Arya is just dumbfounded that a Lady Stark could be in charge of Winterfell given the circumstances.

It's ok because the cinematographer wanted it to be there. Just like the dark episode.
