Something_Smart sat in his office, reading the newspaper and chuckling to himself. Another competitor had been forced out of the business by his ruthless tactics. All that was left was the merger with BaezuTech, and then he would have total control over the industry.

Suddenly, there was a knock on his door. He straightened up, set down his newspaper, and adopted his characteristic stern look. "Come in," he called.

There was a faint tap, and the door swung slowly open. Profii entered hesitantly, then shut the door behind him. "S-sir, I have some news. About the BaezuTech deal?"

Something_Smart stood up. "Yeah? Spit it out."

Profii stammered, "W-well, you're not going to like it..."

"Profii! For the last time, I didn't hire you to make excuses! What is it?"

Profii flinched at his boss's raised voice. When he regained his composure, he replied, "Well, they-- Baezu-- contacted us today. She said that, uh, they were going to go with another partner, and they... were calling off the merger."

Something_Smart slapped his desk with his hand, causing Profii to flinch again and hide behind a nearby pillar. "What? Another partner? But I have blackmail material on everyone else in the industry. Who could possibly..." He trailed off, and suddenly his eyes widened. "No. It can't be. Him...? But I sent him on a wild goose chase searching for cryptids years ago. Ha! Cryptids, can you imagine? And last I heard he was hit by a mutiny and stranded on an island..." Something_Smart folded his hands and looked toward the ground. "But I can't imagine who else it could be besides him."

Profii peered meekly out from behind the pillar. "Besides whom, sir?"

Something_Smart gazed wistfully into the distance. "My old nemesis... Very eccentric, a bit crazy sometimes, and more full of himself than a Russian Tsar, but a brilliant and quick-witted man nonetheless. No, I know who is behind this. It's none other than... Boonie Von Skiiesalot!"

"Profii!" Something_Smart called out. "We're going to end Boonie once and for all. When I'm through with him, he'll be more bankrupt than Trump! Get me the duck on the phone."

Profii cocked his head in confusion. "The... duck? Who's that?"

Something_Smart smiled coldly. "I know a lot of people willing to do my dirty work. And some of them are pretty damn bad. But this guy? Let's just say... he's the worst.

I will make my dear old friend pay, or I'm not the CEO of Something_Smart Evil Incorporated."
