so yeah the quantitative data does confirm the vague idea i've had for a long time that conftown players just really fucking have it out for me whereas other people, like,

and i'm starting to understand why. I don't think it's even that i'm super amazing at towntelling. i never get scumread anonymously, sure, but that doesn't explain why always the conftown going after me. so it's something outside of skill.

i think the answer is that most people just really, in their hearts, want to policy lynch me most games but they refrain from doing so because they know it'll harm the game and probably end in their lynch anyway, that like it's not some sort of respect or liking me or even the strength of my play it's literally just fear of the reprisals

the problem is that tmck, and other noted conftowns including the masons that i mislynched d1 last year, think that I have nothing to threaten him back with.

so like most people who effort and try to gamesolve have that gamesolving effort reinforced with townreads and that encourages them to tryhard

and that's how we got to the point where I just refused to give reasons for my reads for years

let's be super clear about something: you don't expect me to treat you like an equal. you don't demand respect in the conventional respect.
you demand respect in the sense of deference while claiming to just want equal treatment.

do I do this in mafia sometimes? absolutely. i make a career of it. but why am I calling you out for it?

because I earned it. I forget whether it's counting or not counting this game as a win that I'm 12/4 as town and perfect as scum this year. you can cry that i replaced out a lot but almost all of those replace outs as town were in games that were town victories and in games that I at the time was aware would be town victories. my replace outs are at worst orthogonal to winrates.

town should not have the expectation that my solving efforts play second fiddle to yours when I'm demonstrably better than yours.

and yeah I didn't do much with my coalition. because scum would always be able to brute force yours through if mine was right.
the only way my coalition goes through is if it's wrong and that opens up a whole new vector for scum to attack me


so from here on out we're doing things my way. you agreed you'd stop shitting on solving efforts and do what the townblock said if you got your coalition. you got it.
