We have been having intensely serious discussions about the subject of humour and this is but one example of the kind of thing I find funny,

Do you ever get jokes sent to you from some of your friends or family and you're like (uhhhh) nice lol to be polite but you're wondering if maybe it was a good idea to get strung out on memes like you did. Repeated exposure ruined you, chasing that pleasure just got you into weirder and weirder shit, more absurd and layered, nth level abstraction memes and deviance and ordinary stuff just doesn't do it for you anymore, you filthy, legitimately disgusting meme junkie. You pushed that boundary too in other ways with more darker humor, more and more shock at trivialising what are some serious mental health issues and disregarding the sanctity of life to bring back a cutting edge for your dulled senses but your own liberal and humanist views wonder if making light of such things really is still fine. Granted in the past you could argue such humor plays a useful role as a coping mechanism but you're not in that place anymore and it still is kinda funny to your chagrin. Can you ever forget it all and go back? You don't know. A large break can do wonders for resetting tolerance back to baseline but your experience tells you you'll likely never be able to truly erase it all and return.

I stopped at the part of someone sending me jokes - that's never happens. Being antisocial asshole as I am sometimes pays off, I guess

Sudden existential crisis because of my addiction to stupid memes
