i think the argument that people make (and that lycanfire is making specifically) is that the newbie setup doesn't necessarily need to be some "system" like matrix6 or 2d3, it can just be a small number of setups that are known to be balanced and are randomized from

No, the day1 scumlynches aren't the result of a claiming strategy
It feels like towns have been getting better in Newbie games
and I think this data confirms that
the question now is do we want a Newbie setup that is s more favorable to scum to counteract a site meta of skilled town?

if TTTT took a break from newbie queue, scum win rates would jump 10% at least, and he never rolls scum =/

I rolled scum in my first two Newbies (w/ this account) but that was in 2016
I've been town 11 times in a row since then (10/11 record)

I think people should stay more at being newbie before being SE. This will definitely help more games going in queue and newbies become more experienced. Why is it only 3 games anyways?

It was recently changed to 5 games.
