If Nancy Drew 39 is the 9th Nancy Drew then she would be the 38th clone, as the original Nancy Drew 1 would not be a clone

It's been a lifelong dream of mine to be patient 0. Also, patient 0 notably DOESN'T die of the epidemic.

This is about counting, though. Humans, and human like objects, tend to count beginning at one. If you need proof of this, I suggest you go to your local preschool and ask any of the teachers.

Computers, and computer like objects, tend to count beginning at 0.

I agree, first clone is number 1, original isn't equal to clone, and clone isn't upgraded version either, it's more like serial production. Therefore giving number 0 to original/prototype is justified
