I was actually just thinking about Alch because I realised I had forgotten he existed, though I remember liking this post from him. Even though I disagreed with the reasoning, it seemed kind of assertive for scum but I’m less convinced by it now.

I think Roster’s scum trying to pocket a range of people. Their only scumread is HeWhoSwims which they’ve voted 3 separate times so far. Meanwhile there’s a handful of Townreads that were given in quick succession. I don’t see the sincerity behind most of their reads. The defense of Montosh feels like they’re white-knighting a Townie.

He was townie here. He was also IC which may have contributed to his stilted style, but you can see why I didn't scumread him right away. The Hmmm tell just isn't a thing for him. But after that, in the present game, he just totally disengages. In my previous game with him, he was pushing and prodding very methodically. The only reason I'm not hard voting that slot right now is because he replaced out, and because the previous game was a very different context. There's enough reason to doubt that his play here is scum indicative.

1140 Your style this game seems very "react to other people's reads" over "put out my own for other's to react to". Which is fine. I do the same. Would you say that's generally your playstyle?

I'd say that's accurate early on. I like to do most of my own sorting in the background at first, but I'll put my sorting list out soon once I feel fairly confident in it. With this many people it's taking me longer.

Tbh the fact it's a large isn't my problem, just that many slots are hard to sort. The amount of posts this game is absurdly low for a large.
I expected to have better cases replacing in n1 and rereading the thread but I guess things are still a bit shaky.

Jesus is my only solid lead so far.

Both RedFlavor and Vorkuta have been early on the Creature wagon and not on Niko, so I don't think they're scum with Creature.

If there's scum on the Creature wagon, wouldn't they be more likely to be earlier on it? Red and vork were votes 2 and 3, not putting creature in any real danger. The second wave was Kop(Niko), Nero, Roster, Jesus. I just don't see scum doing that when Creature is not even obviously the lynch.

Now, Roster immediately unvotes, as does Red after Alchemist joins. So I'm still good with Red as scum here. Roster is unclear. I'm good with Alchemist and Nero as town, and leaning town on Jesus.

it's not so much as a person, but a feeling of consensus and unanimity in "this sounds like creature being scummy".
Like I've seen waaaaaay to many jokes/references/memes about his alignment being telegraphed based on his lurkiness/postiness/catchup frequency and overall "this is a scum creature post".
I guess I was praying for a magic bullet or a person who's has 10~20 games with creature and could confidently read him (as was the case in quite a few of my other games with him), but no one in particular

I saw a scum claim, I turn my brain off and vote the scum claim. It's worked a few times before and that was good enough for me. Plus it was also semi-policy and I wanted to see what the wagon would do/accomplish as well.

I'm an Even Night Vigilante, not bulletproof.

All that lolz claiming and all was to claim bp later and make either scum think I'm bp and shot elsewhere or to make them waste their strongman on me (and it seems like it was working?). I didn't want to play my normal town meta because not only I'm tired of it, but I also I could be shot N1 since I'm always obvtown, and I wanted to stick around and play vigilante for once, it's my first time rolling it and there's the novelty and all. I also wanted to play a bit silly.

I'm not SK because I can only shoot in Even Nights, and my play here doesn't even make sense as a SK. a SK here would as a matter of fact be bulletproof, and therefore would do everything but claim bulletproof, because they don't want to risk mafia using a strongman on them (and if there's a SK, mafia probably needs a strongman, a no-bp SK is just bad design).

That's why I believe in a 3p scum team as well, I don't think that it's reasonable to have a babysitter together with a vigilante against a 4 man team, it can...end up wildly. I'm kind of expecting there to exist a Odd Night Vigilante as well by the way.

I also like thinking about a possible smaller team, since I use associatives, if I suppose it's 4 man when it's only 3 man, it's going to mess up my reads. There's no problem if I guess it's 3 man when it's 4 man, but there's problem to my reads if I suppose it's 4 man when it's 3 man.

Game meta nowadays is town sided so with everything considered I thought it was more likely a 3 man team. Oh, and I'm not horrible enough as scum to need some dumb "telling" of saying it's 3 man when it's 4 man, that's kind of really silly.

I'm still waiting for Kiri to confirm if she is or not a babysitter by the way.

With the deadline close and all, I'll compromise on Vorkuta but what I truly wanted is Eyes.
