You're clearly scum trying to fool the town into thinking you're town, the second post seems to be for those that didn't see your first post.

The same content in the two posts makes it not even seem like you're trying to be genuine.

attacking someone over these two posts and being serious about scumreading it is a fabricated read

I think that genuinely reading someone as scum for those two posts is more reasonable than genuinely reading someone as scum for scumreading someone for those two posts.

About the only potentially town-sided explanation I can see is Dunnstral intentionally doing something mildly scummy to spark discussion (and one of those posts would likely have been enough for that).

Can you go a little deeper into this? The only reason I can think of to feel this way is you think scum would have stopped the wagon, but in a micro he likely only has one buddy so an all town wagon isn't out of the question. Or you think scum must have been on the wagon, but for some reason wouldn't be willing to vote their buddy in that spot. So let me ask you this. Why does the wagon tell you more about Dunn than those who voted him and who on the wagon is most likely to be scum?

I see from post 123 now you're going with the resistance thing. How much resistance can really be expected if Dunn as scum only has one buddy, maybe two but most likely not? Especially if his buddy wasn't around. Ugh, I type that out and see callforjudgement beat me to that point. I'll leave in in my post anyway and my questions in the above paragraph still stand. Im also curious what you think of the timing of firebringers (why did my phone auto correct to fire fingers?) vote on you and whether you'd consider that to be resistance.

This is why I shouldn't fall behind. Firebringers vote on dunn kind of makes Dunn/firebringer unlikely. I wasn't really leaning that way, but skitter's opinion on it would have helped.

The don't vote someone who got prodded post caught my attention and then the Dunn vote and some stuff after it felt off. First of all, voting someone to saying they are town is kinda weird. What's he supposed to say? He's scum? I mean yeah I'm not dense, I know it's the way he went out of his way to do it unprompted but to say he did it as an attempt to cook anyone feels either newbish or just looking for a reason to vote the popular wagon and temp doesn't feel newbish. And then he keeps pushing it. It just doesn't feel natural to me.

On oka, I don't really have a strong read yet. There are things that stand out but I can see oka doing them as either alignment. The Dunn vote was either Okatown looking to start a wagon for info and Okascum testing the waters. And then there's his stance on temp that I just asked him about. I think oka will be easier to read later in the game. Although I see temp OMGUS'd oka after you asked me this so if I'm right about temp, oka is likely town. And the more I read oka's posts on temp, the more I'm agreeing with him. So yeah, actually, consider oka a town read for me.

His later posts show at least a basic understanding of the game though. Comments like saying the game is stagnating don't come from people who aren't familiar with mafia.

The biggest thing if you're town is just look for people's motivations. Read what they're saying and ask yourself is this person really trying to find mafia (if you see us call them scum it's the same thing) or are they just trying to give off the appearance that they are. When you think someone is scum, vote them, see how they react, and continue to think critically. Keep an open mind.

Another thing you can do, and I don't think I'd recommend this once you get the hang of things on your own, is pick someone you think is town and seems to really know what they are doing, and just follow their lead. But if you do that, keep in mind that the person you are following could easily be scum manipulating you. So be careful with that.

Ask specific questions. If something stands out to you or confuses you, don't be afraid to ask. Your alignment (meaning which side you are on) will become more clear as you post more which can only help if you are town. So post often, openly, and genuinely. You should have nothing to be afraid of doing so unless you are mafia.

Try to develop an opinion on everyone as far as whether they are town or scum and make that opinion clear and make your reasons clear. Be willing to admit you are wrong at times and it's ok if your read changes as long as it's for a good reason.

#215 feels really off to me. In this situation, if OkaPoka is town, I'd expect scum who are on the wagon to be sitting on it in the hope that town hammers or forces a claim. (We don't have enough information yet to shake the "town outnumbers scum, so any particular player is more likely to be town than scum" assumption that applies in the early game.) the worst joined the OkaPoka wagon with no stated reasoning (#169), and is definitely sitting on it – and yet posting a popcorn emote, while it draws attention to the fact that that's what the worst is doing (both due to its content and due to the simple fact that it's a post), doesn't seem to have much town motivation behind it (why not either unvote, try to information-gather, or try to push if it's a strong read?). For what it's worth, the worst's play is

somewhat consistent with a bus, probably of the "intentionally failed bus" variety.

OkaPoka seems to have something of a parallel thought process on this, which IMO increases the chance he's town (although not by as much as if the wagon was on someone else, as players tend to be more sensitive to their own wagons).
